I hear ya! I booked our tickets to LA for the Aug repo last week. Waiting for a good deal on the return flight.

Paul

One thing I'm really looking forward to is having to only fly one way in May. It will be really nice to only have a 1 hour drive to get home after the repo cruise.

Sharon, sounds like we have converted Jim to the cruise way of thinking. Good job! Maybe now he will plan less scuba trips and more cruises! Nah.

I love to plan cruises, or should I say liveaboards!!!! (for our land lovers, a liveaboard is a cruise that never docks. it stays at sea for the full week and is just for diving)

Which makes me extra glad that we aren't attempting to drive back to Ohio on December 28th. I'll have to eat MIL's food, but maybe that's better than driving on NO sleep!

Maybe if I'm REALLY tired, I'll sleep through dinner that night! ;) ;) ;)

You won't need to eat. You'll still be full from 10 days of eating.

Whew, glad I threw in my semi formal outfit from our first cruise! It's a sparkly top with velvet slacks. As I was walking in to work this morning, I started second guessing myself about the shoes I'm taking. Okay DISers, opinions please.

I have a pair of sparkly black flip flops (don't want to get that thong discussion started again!) and a pair of brown leather sandals. My plan was that for dinners that I wore sundresses or capri's, I'd wear the leather sandals, for the dressier dinners, I'd wear the flip flops. My formal is a long, full dress, so no one will see my shoes. I've got wide legged black pants to wear for the planned semi-formal. Again, should hide most of my shoes. The velvet pants are more close to the ankle though.

I do have a pair of dressy black sandals with 1" heels. I've worn them on cruises before. But DH is only about 1/2 inch taller than me, so I almost never wear heels. Should I take the heels, or just go with the flip flops?

Thanks!!!!

I vote flip flops they sound more comfy too and aren't we all looking at comfy?

Jim - according to UPS the box is at your door :D

Well, I am using the computer at the Library to read the boards this evening. Matt needed to do some homework here before we pick Lisa up from the Gym. Matt thinks it is very funny how "addicted" his parents have become to chatting with their new friends. In fact, last night at dinner we were having a discussion about something from the boards and Matt joked that you couldn't follow our dinner time conversation anymore unless you read the boards at lunch (which Jim and I do).

I'll be doing my sleeping in the theaters. It never fails, comfy chair, dark room. If you hear me snore, just give me a little elbow....otherwise, leave me sleep.:cat:

Good Afternoon Everyone!

It is a rainy chilly miserable day here and I have been out running errands for most of it. :umbrella:

Just taking a minute to relax before I have to run again. Kristen has volleyball practice and Jason has his first 6th grade band concert. It should be quite interesting since the entire band has only had 2 practices together.
Then I get to go pick Kristen up from practice!

I really want to crawl in my warm bed and take nap!

Stacey- I know what you mean about how quickly the days seem to go by. I seem like I am getting very little done even though I am going non-stop!

Won't be back till almost nine, will miss Survivor :sad2:
I may need an update. No tivo here and i don't know when I would watch it , if I took the time to record it anyway.

Have a great evening everyone!

My son played volleyball at Long Beach State and is now an assistant coach there. What position does Kristen play?

I will check when I get home. It wasn't there at 3pm per Lisa. However, I don't know how hard she looked (meaning - If I didn't trip over it on my way through the garage, it wasn't there). Either Jim or I will confirm we have it once one of us gets home tonight. :cheer2: :cloud9: :cheer2:

Ken,
She is a setter. I could send her to school in California, no problem!
She really loves playing and I hope she continues through high school and college.

Southwest just opened up May 2005 for reservations. So I just got our airline seats for the May Repo cruise. With the 10 day coming up, it seems funny that I'm thinking about the Repo, but I guess the planning never stops. We are signed up to do Dive Quest and the Segway tour at Epcot in the couple of days prior to the May cruise.

Can't wait for the Holiday cruise, can't wait for the Repo, what's a guy to do?

Ken
I am so glad they are open up to may. My friends are coming to visit me in june. The cheapest it looks like will be southwest. One month closer to what what we need! Your lucky you get to go on the pananama canal cruise. It will be fun i am sure!

Setter is a great position. Volleyball is a great sport for college scholarship opportunities for women. The down side is the hours spent at club tournaments.

Ken I think that we spoke (posted) before - my son is in his 2nd year at Long Beach State - he is enjoying it. He is a film major.

That's cool. According to UPS it was after 3 (I think it says 3:18) We have boxes sit by our door all the time so I'm sure it is safe!

I remember you had said that. Is your son going on the cruise? Mine just couldn't believe he could stay entertained for 10 days on the ship, so he isn't going.
