While at the hospital, my DH called to say that our friends from last year's cruise (and that we were planning to cruise with this Christmas) called and told us that her husband passed away suddenly last week. I can't believe it and am still in shock! We talk to them every Saturday but missed last Saturday because we were out of town ... I haven't told DD yet because I know she's going to be devastated and thought she should get a bit stronger first so that she can call her friend (their DD is really good friends with my DD - they were inseparable last year and were so looking forward to spending this cruise together)... I feel so sad for them and helpless...

Well, I'll try to catch up on the posts while DD is still snoozing...

I'll keep your friend and her family in my prayers. So sad...

No, but we were coming in the day they were supposed to land (for the DVC Member Cruise). Very sad start to our day to get off the plane and find out that happened.
