Good Morning. Well, afternoon for those of you in the East. Was not able to get on the boards yesterday afternoon/evening as we had a nephew from Denver come to visit. Nice young fella that has the habit of making last minute plans and picking a place on the map to meet up with friends. They chose Portland this weekend and he wanted to visit with us Sat afternoon and evening. We returned him to his hotel and friend at 10 last night.

Lots of reading to catch up on. Not sure who asked if anyone was at DW prior to the cruise. We are at BCV Sunday thru Friday nights. Will be at one of the parks every day M-F. We don't have a schedule of which park which day yet, except we are doing MVMCP on the 16th, so we will be there that afternoon and night. Also will likely be at Epcot every day for at least a bit. Our favorite. PM me if you want to set up a meet somewhere

We have some very good friends from Montana that are sailing on the Wonder today. This is their first Disney cruise. We are very excited for them! :jumping4:

man alive. I've got you on my case and Kevin on my case. Maybe I shouldn't have started this thread....I'm taking all of the abuse here!! ;) ;) ;)
You need an "evil twin" to blame all the bad stuff on!

An accidental T.O.P. shared with Ohminnie and our evil twins.
Our first four-way split!!!

About that bubble wrap suggested to wrap around the wine for transport....Little princess and I are sitting popping all the bubbles....does it still work when they are popped? :flower1:

Just took a look at the Wonder in port. It is very exciting knowing our friends are on board now enjoying all that shrimp! :thewave:

Thanks for the kind words Gus, but it isn't just us. It is this great group of people we are sailing with that make it work.

These boards have been a wonderful source of information which is why we all first came. Adding on a cruise meets board was a great idea and really helps us get to know our fellow cruises.

Does every cruise have things like the newsletters etc. No they don't, but you'll find a lot of the special cruises have something going. I had seen post about a newletter on a couple of cruise meet threads back in 2003 which gave me the idea to do ours. Then someone had given me a link to a web page done for one of their earlier cruises and they had a photo page so we started doing that as well.

gaRry organized t-shirts for the Western Inagural and I think it is a great idea.

Mark and I did buttons for the DVC Member Cruise back in Feb. 03 and got a great response from them. People were wearing them the whole cruise and getting to know each other.

A number of people on other cruises have been able to set up Brunch at Palo and I'm really glad Gail suggested it and LeiLani took it over.

People from many other cruises have been able to link reservations, but I wonder if they have ever had as many linked as we do :D

A number of other cruises have had wine parties, but to the best of my knowledge I've never heard of another group being able to get Sessions or any other venue for them.

The tag idea was started by another group and just picked up on by us.

My one and only goal when I started the web page and newsletter was for everyone to get to know each other. I think I accomplished that goal.

It is the people who have been posting here and sharing with each other that really make this group what it is! Everyone has their own reasons for posting or not, but I think those that really threw themselves into this group are the ones who are getting the most out of it. Most of all whether you came in on post #1 or post #20001 we're here to have fun.

Gus, you have done more than your part as well. As a new cruiser you have asked many great questions that have sparked conversations and helped us share. Knowing too that you have this special surprise set up for your children is the icing on the cake. Thank you for sharing that with us!

Mary.....I think we would all agree that your goal has certainly been accomplished.

By the way......you brought a tear to my eye with your last statement.

I really can not wait any longer, can we fast forward please.

Gus

The December Newsletter is now up!

This is the last one and I kind of did an end of year (well actually year and a half) recap.

Hope you all enjoy it!

Mary,

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Was not as productive yesterday as I would have liked. Will try to do better today.

Question for all of you with pre-teen/teen boys. What are they wearing to dinner on non-formal nights? I just realized I had kinda forgotten about Jason. He only has one pair of Khaki pants and one black pair. I really don't want to go buy him more pants. So you may see him in those several times.

Have a great day. Will check in later!
Jared has one or two pairs of dress slacks for Lumiere's. For Parrot Cay and Animators, he's wearing the same kind of pants he wears to school....they're the ones with all the pockets all over, and some of them unzip to make shorts. He has a couple of nice dress shirts, but the rest are either Mickey short sleeved, or Hawaiian.

My favorite part of bubble wrap!! The "popping"!!!

Good morning to you, too, Angie!

Hi Gus!

Sir Paul...where have you been???

Now that I have caught up on the reading, my first load of clothes is ready to come out of the dryer.:( Just about the time I wanted to chat.
Today is the "try on all the shorts and swimsuits" day. It could get ugly.

Very well said back there, Mary. We have an amazing group.

Therese, you asked how Jay liked jury duty. He really enjoyed it, and from what I saw yesterday, they had a great group of people. They were told by more than one attorney that they were one of the best groups the Grand Jury had ever had. They put a lot of thought into their decisions.

Gus, when we went 2 years ago, the Casinos we found we quite seedie looking - do you know of the "real ones" my DH would LOVE to go to a casino! This is the one thing he Doesn't like about the Dis Cruise - and this is one of the main things I LOVE about this cruise. We go to Vegas once a year for him and then we go to Disney for me! Tee.........he.e.....e.e.

Therese ....no idea about the casinos on the islands we are going to.
I was in one once in the Domincan Republic.
That one was OK as it was part of a Jack Tar Village.

I'm sure we can ask a CM on board. Do they have information sessions before each Port of Call with info on shopping, taxis, points of interest etc. on the cruise?

Gus

Good Morning Everyone!!![/COLOR]Ok, just catching up here - and I know most of you are not online - I really have to get in sync with your timing here - I am Missing out on all the fun!!!

This weekend was a wash for me - My cousin is a (new) principal of an elementary school and back in Sept - he wanted to have a Christmas Craft show as a fund raiser and to add to the community of the school. I took this on - and Saturday was the show. Everything went well - we had 37 juried crafters - it was a success! The fun part was talking to all of the crafters throughout the day - they were so happy with the type and level of crafters they were selling with - seeing it was a school! And that was my plan to make it a mini - professional show! But, boy am I tired now!

So I read through all of the pages I missed since Friday - and boy Stacey/Lisa you had me laughing................can't wait to hook up with you! :cheer2:

So much information on here!

Leslie and other Pin Traders - my son Chris - who pops in on these boards from time to time - Stitch5twosix - is a Pin Trader - will be binging a nice cross section of pins to trade with and is so looking forward to this cruise! It was his idea to come on this - while we were on the 2002 NYE cruise he just didn't let up on us - to make sure we booked this when it hit the market! pirate:

Matt - that is pretty neat with your DLC connection. It is fun know and talking to Management at Disney. We are very good friends with the Special Events Director for all of WDW - and when in the parks we always hook up with him and his wife - so funny to see how the other CM act when he is around! Back in 1997 we were at Disneyland Paris for their 5th Anniversary and he was there with Michael Eisner - he had helped coordinate the event. We were at the private birthday bash and I can share the details on the ship it would be just tooo long to type - But as we all Know Disney knows how to throw a party!! :wizard:

The Highlight of this party was standing next to Mr and Mrs Roy Disney watching the Fireworks at the end of the night!! :wizard:

And Leslie - Nothing wrong with being a Disney Wacko! others don't understand - and are not nearly as Happy as Disney Wacko's!! Believe me when people found out we were going to Paris for Disney's 5th Anniversay - well the talk was just crazy!.....................who care though!Gus, I hope you are in tip top shape and spirits for the cruise - you've been such a key player here!

Mary, you're the Best!! Can't wait to meet you!

Kevin - Thank you again for all of the ideas for the signs! By posting the links to your signs it really got me going!!

Virgil - what can I say - you are like the glue of these boards!! All around knowledge!!

Markg - you too!!

And all of the other regulars here - sorry for just naming a few - although I have looked at the pictures, Thank you, Mary, It is so exciting that in under 2 weeks we will KNOW each other.

Oh, Oh, one more thing! Stacey - my DH is warming up too!! He is not a computer person and just thinks it is wild that we have hooked up this way - and have so many plans..........at least I know that he may have some one to hang with ................ Jay.?? How whas his experience on the Grand Jury? my DH is a Chief Officer (Baliff spell??? in some states) at Superior Court ................

Ok, have to get moving for the day - I hope to pop on later and I am really going to try tonight so I don't miss much!!

Have a Happy Sunday everyone!

Thanks Therese.......
