I'm here. Tired as all get out, but I knew if I stayed away I'd never catch up. After all, I've only been "gone" 24 hours and I had 33 pages of posts to read. Had to "speed read" them or I'd never ever catch up. And nearly as fast as I could read them, more pages appeared! I felt like I was in sinking sand! :)

Few things to make note of:

Vicki...you went to a SPORTS BANQUET? Didn't you just have surgery?? Honey, we need to talk. You STINK at milking things for all they are worth!! Not that I'm guilty of that!! :guilty:

Stacey et all.... The movie quote has not been figured out yet. Let me give you a hint. The main star of the movie the quote came from was also in Toy Story. ;)

..........Let me hit "submit reply" to find out I just missed out on 3 more pages of posts.

I didn't do anything just smiled and tried not to move too much. DD was getting her first varsity letter I just couldn't miss it. I paid today as I have been a bit sore.

I think I missed the question that no one knows the answer too could you please repeat the quote.

wooohooo an unexpected T.O.P.

OK, let me try to post again....haven't had much luck posting. Just hoping it works tonite.

DH got his Everquest game up and running after months of being down (no server). For those unfamiliar with this game, it is as addicting as these boards, maybe even more. He is a level 54 wizard which I guess is somewhat impressive...

So what does this mean for me. It means NO COMPUTER time for me. I have to go on during the day when I'm not busy with the kids (HA, HA) or at midnight when he has been killed off too early by some medevil org or something.

Anyway, I try to keep up on the posting but rarely have time to chime in. And last night I typed this long post and it wouldn't accept it (thanks, Mark, I did try to delete my cookies and it didn't help).

Vicki, so glad everything went well and you're feeling better.

Lisa, glad things went well with your FIL. You are in my thoughts.

Gus, I will send pixie dust your way. DH has had two hernia operations in the last 10 years. I can tell you he waited a good two years before he got the second one after they told him. He just didn't want to deal with the "down time". He is so stubborn. I hope it is good news (any operation can wait) when you go for your ultra sound.

Welcome to the boards, Jeri. So glad more people are joining the fray.

Mary, saw the navigators and I think they look great. Thanks for all you have done to bring this group closer together.

Stacey, you just crack me up!!!

OK, let's see if I can get this thing to post.

I know! I know! I just didn't think it was Disney....

Small Soldiers

Karen- Is it the Santa Clause??

DING DING DING. When the ex-wife comes to the soccer game and sees that Scott Calvin has a kid on his lap and a line of kids waiting to get on his lap....

Never in my wildest dreams did I think you'd stoop to this level...

Ok, maybe in my WILDEST dreams, but never in my REGULAR dreams!!

Welcome back, Mary Ann! Glad you didn't lose that post.

Small Soldiers? Was that a movie?

Scubas...Lisa better be coming to dinners. After all, that's what I used to bribe KT to actually eat dinner with us...."Lisa will be there..." :)

dee, by now you've seen Lion King and know it's amazing. I saw it in Cincinnati a couple years ago. Had a migraine when I saw it, and it was still amazing. I can only imagine how great it would have been had I been well! (btw, the pounding drums intensify a migraine!)

Mary, you're doing Palo 12/26. Isn't that the same day as the Palo brunch? Are you not going to that?

Juletime...you saw the Lion King in London? I wished I'd have known it was here, I wouldn't have had to travel to Cincy to see it! (see hometown at left)

Juletime...what's this about your "dh living just below the castle?" Isn't the DUNGEON "just below" the castle? Why was he there? ;)

Gus, Pixie dust to you with your hernia. I had one in 7th grade. It showed up just after my sister had 1 ovary and most of the 2nd ovary removed b/c of cysts. I was so worried that's what was wrong with me that I didn't tell anyone for months. When I finally did, my mom took me to the doc and it was gone....said if it ever showed back up to call him. It never did!

Virgil...post #1000 nearly led me to tears. Beautiful.

Stacey/Kevin...permits...blech! Yes, it's just a way for the gov't to make money. We had to have a permit for our sunroom. They were supposed to inspect every step. Know when they came? When it was all drywalled/floored/painted and furnished. They then checked off that the electrical and all that jazz was "done correctly." How the heck did he know? Another irritating part was that he just let himself into our house without knocking. I turned the corner and there he was!!

Virgil...I may have had 0 posts to read to originally catch up, but today I had 33 pages of posts to read to catch up. And remember, I was gone for awhile and I never did catch up with all those posts.

Stacey...aufweidersein is spelled incorrectly. It's spelled just like it's pronounced "I'llBeTheSame" ;)

Stacey...tell Lisa I said Hi. Also, glad to know you're feeling better. I'm not. I went to EASTON tonight and bought the you know what we talked about. I think I'm going to cry!!! :)

Virgil...Just for you...Cappy's pizza last night, Easton today, and we'll probably do Cappy's tomorrow with my brother b/c I'm too overworked to even THINK about cooking!

Puppy class tomorrow, two performances and my brother and his wife are coming to spend the weekend. Two performances on Sunday too....I'm afraid I'll miss 20,000! :(

Let me hit "submit reply" to find out I just missed out on 3 more pages of posts.
:worship: awesome read and response!

I am getting old, and my memory stinks. What does the Santa Clause have to do with Toy Story?

Thank you, pretty much I just read, laugh, wipe my eyes and try to keep up. :flower1:

Tim Allen. He was the voice of Buzz Lightyear!

Ohhhhh.....DUH......sometimes that Lisa can be such a ditz!

I know, I need an evil twin. Someone I can blame things on!! That'd be convenient.

I got some surprises today at Staples, but I can't tell anyone about them!!! ;)

ah, a TOP! A lot of those have gone past me in my 24 hour absence! I was due!! :) I'm ENTITLED to a TOP now and then, aren't I?? It's my right, as the starter of this thread. You all OWE me that...

GIRLS: Advice.....DH went to the BBQ alone, so he's a tad cranky. He has just spent the last 10 minutes yelling at Jared. Granted, Jared did something wrong...but.....

Dare I intervene?

Spoke too soon, I think he may have finally quit.

Oh, I hate when they do that. I just want to rush up and "protect" my babies. The mama bear comes out in me. But...in the absence of bloodshed, probably best not to butt in. After all, parents need to maintain a united front otherwise it's all over for us. That's why we're stopping at two kids...we'd be outnumbered. Bad enough we have Maggie!
