Vicki....glad you are home and upright! Take it easy...no sense rushing things. If you have any leftover pain killers....oh, never mind. I forgot, they cannot be shared.

Gus, how tall is your DD? Did you find something for her? I had the same problem finding my oldest DD's clothes. I agree with Linda, an adult small would be better. I guess DW probably took over the search, though......

I sent an email to Verizon Wireless asking if my current service will work on the islands. It looks like St Thomas may have the only coverage. Now I am wading thru an international rental site.

This is from 11/30/02. They ended up cancelling a cruise to scrub the ship down. I think the big problem is people not scrubbing THEMSELVES down (esp after the bathroom!)
Those of us who were on the DIS back then, especially the cruise board, remember it well! Some people never did get over that cancelled cruise.

I saw and listened to an IPOD today....totally awesome.

One day I'll get one for me or someone in the family.

Gus

i've had my ipod mini for about a month and a half now. it is the greatest thing in the entire world. i hook it up to my car and play it through the radio. that way i have less cds to travel around with. i decided it was my early christmas present to me. that was until i bought a nintendo ds on saturday. it is the coolest thing ever! i love it! if anyone is looking for one they had a whole bunch at the costco near me. maybe people don't know to go check there. it came packaged with the system and a game.

No, I would say not. My DD Jamie (12 yrs old) wears either a girl's size 12 or 14 or a junior small. If she got a ladies 8-12 (I'm a size 8, 10 or 12 depending on whether I am on a cruise eating for 10 days), she would not fit into it. In fact, she would be drowning in it.

I say try to find a girl's 14, or give me the website and I'll go take a look at it.

Linda

Thanks Linda.....here it is

www.CDockPirates.com

It the ladies wench costume " one size fits all"
My DD is childrens size 14.

By the sounds of it, I will have to keep on trying.

Thanks

Gus

Definitely an important point - Make sure that you use the alcohol based hand cleaner all the time while on the cruise. It's the time of year for some of the nastier viruses - (Norwalk - caused the above Magic outbreak). Good hygiene will prevent problems - but washing your hands and then walking back to the table - touching handrails and doorknobs along the way - will not be enough - USE THE HAND CLEANER TOO!!!

OK - Off the medical soap box for the night.....

Thanks Diana.......(please keep reading in regards to the above website)

OK Ladies, I need your help.

DW is not here at the moment. I feel if I don't take care of this pirate costume for DD, it will not happen.

So here is my question: Will a " one size fits all " ladies size 8-12 fit my DD, who has a children's size of 14.
I want to order this ASAP and need to know probably before I get a chance to talk with DW.
Thanks to all you Ladies out there.

Who would have ever thought, I could open up enough to ask such a question.
Only with my DIS friends and no one else.
Don't tell GaRry.......

Gus

Gus - is she tall?
otherwise I think it will be too big..............

In searching for good and noisy cabins, we came across this article.

http://archives.cnn.com/2002/TRAVEL/11/30/disney.sick.cruise/

It is the first we had heard of this.

Phil and Tracey

Yes, this was a Big scare for us! We were on the New Years' Cruise that year leaving on the 28th 7 night Magic....... but Disney put the ship in dry dock for a week and pratically replaced the ship! All new beds, couches, linens etc...........

Okay everyone.. I need to know how extravagant you all are getting with the Pirate costume thingy.... Are you wearing them to dinner? I have a fear that it will end up being our night at Lumieres!!!
PS On the hand cleaner thing. We use the prepackaged clorox hand wipes easy to carry in purse, backpack, pocket etc... we also use them to wipe down the fixtures, knobs etc in the stateroom since you don't know what the attendant has touched before they touch your stuff.... okay.. paranoid I know... but I don't want to end up sick either. :o)
