Actually this is a serious confession here. I've held off posting it, but I've made a decision I'm not going to the wine party and wanted to explain why. My DH is an alcoholic. So that's why we're not sitting with the late group. Thinking more about the wine party, I decided that it would be better for me not to go to the wine party, since he wouldn't be comfortable there either.

Whew, glad that's over!
Lisa :grouphug: I know that took a lot to post that. Good for you for putting your family and their needs ahead of some fun for yourself. There will be many there like Mark and myself who don't drink, but I realize how hard it would be to be around others who are. Be sure and come to the group picture in the atrium before and I know we'll have many other times on the cruise to hang out. Thank you for sharing that with us.

Jeri, that's awful! Boy I can imagine how you feel. Here's hoping that they catch them!
Thank you guys for the support. The working theory is that it was "kids" or youth. They have worked a couple of houses in the neighborhood in the past week. The thing is if they needed money and asked....I give money/food to everyone..If I pass someone on the road asking for money for food...I hand them my lunch.

And if they are kids, it is sadder, what kind of sad life to they have...where is their family...

So far three neighbors are signed up to watch the house, plus off duty police officer. We are adding security system in the house and I convinced my DH to not put up barbwire (picture war zone) and instead increase the height of our rear fence from 6 to 10 feet plus really high voltage motion sensor lamps.

Remember, we talked about being protective of kids/family...I was born in the year of the Tiger, my DH year of the Dragon. Lovely DD year of rabbit.

With Stacey's permission, I could add a warning sign... Dont mess with me, my name is Lisa!

Oh yeah, I meant to ask this earlier and forgot.

Those DVCers out there, a question.

What kind of toiletries (if any) do you get in a BWV studio? Shampoo, soap, conditioner (yeah, dream on!). I have pretty long hair (when we get back from the trip, it's due for a locks of love donation), so I use a lot of conditioner. I'm bringing a big bottle for the cruise, and was wondering how much to bring for WDW before hand.

I posted this on the DVC forum, then forgot to check the answer and it's probably 6 pages deep now. And I know that someone here will know!

Jeri, Looks like they didn't take your sense of humor!!! That is important!!

Keep smiling - sunny days are ahead!!

Jeri, you have my permission. Wanna borrow our shotgun? The police always say it's kids, though...even when they don't have a clue. So sorry this had to happen, and glad that you are wasting no time in taking steps to prevent anything further. Good for you, and a lesson for all of us!

Lisa - thanks for sharing.... I totally understand.... as my older "brother" actually a cousin raised by my parents was an alcoholic..... I'm sure that you'll make things easier by sharing this information.

I am wondering???? Would it be Lisa's Shotgun???????????

What have you done with Stacey??????????

Actually, we are booked as a group now, and have been for some time. I'm glad Amy (who is in charge of groups) knows her stuff. She is the GREATEST!!

It is UNDER CONTROL.....no one needs to call or worry about it.
The late diners have one contact person....and she's telling you to trust her....it's under control.

Lisa, took lots of courage to confess that. I commend you for giving up something to support your dh. :grouphug:

Facial soap, bath soap and shampoo. No conditioner. :(

Wonderful you're donating your hair!! That's a cool organization!

Yup, the sheriff told us the same thing when our van was broken into...."probably some opportunistic teens"

Confessions, huh?

You want the long list or the short list?

You want my list, or "Lisa's" list????

But I'm MAIN! :) And Sue hasn't responded yet. So I am giving myself permission to worry! :)

Ah, worst case scenario, we don't all eat together and I'll have to hunt you all down and socialize with you in other ways!!!

Ok, ppl. We are now (with this post) at 20,775 replies. That means 20,776 posts.

Please tell me we aren't going for 21,000 TONIGHT! I don't have time for that!!! Sitting around with multiple windows open waiting to pirate: a milestone!!

COOL, unexpected TOP. And not quoting anyone...so it's ALLLL MINE!!!
Ha, Stacey!!

oops, just wrote Stacey's name. Now it's officially a shared TOP!

Thank you Stacey. I'll pass on the gun, we are actually pretty non violent types. My DH had never seen a gun until I brought him to Texas for our engagement (his first trip to US). Dad took him out back and tought him to shoot cans as target practice. (no it was not a shotgun wedding)

The closest I came, once years ago, I was mugged by two teenage girls when I lived in San Fransisco. I had worked seriously over 100 hrs that week and so sort of snapped when to they tried to grab my purse. I slugged one of them. She let go but then pulled out a switch blade and threatened to kill me. Well, little ole me but my hands on my hips stared them in the eye and said "oh yea, well I'm going to go Tell." They ran off and I ran yelling for the police.

Amy sent me a list of the early diners too......and you are there. Not to worry.

Ok...I had to LOL at this one. I can see it now. "Welcome to the US. So, you're going to marry my daughter? Let me show you my GUN COLLECTION!"

Jeri, I like your dad! :)
