We have HORRIBLE weather today. A slushy snow mixture. Hmmm......basking in the sun sure sounds good to me!

STILL haven't found any laundry tabs...even at Sams club, etc.

OHIOMINNIE...I MAY have to take you up on your offer.

Yes, I will. Maybe I could recoup some of the 200 we gave to send KT's ballet teacher to Disney (she's going in January) This woman works tirelessly FOR FREE!!! She does it all volunteer! And, she loves Disney, but as a grocery store employee she doesn't have the $$ to go. She and her husband are taking her son, his wife and the grandbaby (he's 2)

Christine, just let me know. They come two to a pack, but I usually just use 1/2 of ONE tablet for a load. Seems to do the trick.

Stace--I've read the Mitford series....I LOVE them!! Those were the books I just could NOT put down. And the chapters were so short so I always just said "oh, one more chapter won't hurt."
I also could not put down *most* of the books in the Left Behind series. There was one or two in the middle that sort of dragged. I think that was about the time the writers decided to turn what was supposed to be a 5 or 6 book series into a 15 book series and they were running out of ideas there in the middle.

Rehearsals are technically "over." There is an early call on opening night to run through Nick's parts again. He's doing MUCH better. Louder too! Unfortunately he had a little run-in in the locker room. I was standing outside and heard "Rabbit" ask him "do you know who Jim Carrey is?" And I heard Nick say "Yeah, but my family likes Bush." Rabbit says "Not JOHN KERRY, JIM CARREY." So there became a political discussion about Bush and at one point I heard Eeyore say "Yes, Bush, he stole yet another election." And then Nick tells them "my mom took us to see the Wafflehead....it was a big parade float that looked like John Kerry but it was all made out of waffles." HA! Ok, put on my list "teach Nick not to talk about politics or religion to friends!" I, of course, had to give Eeyore a hard time about corrupting my "baby."

When is the raffle? I always support my friends, a good cause, chance on a prize I want.... This sounds like all three.

Well, I wasn't really trying to solicit, but it would be cool if one of our DIS friends won! I may buy a few tickets myself, I could use the extra points. I'll let you know when I find out the price, I think the drawing is in February.

I'm afraid our studio owner wouldn't be able to afford park tickets, airline tickets, etc., even if we gave her a stay. She just bought the studio from someone who wasn't around much or paying much attention, and she's trying to make a go of it. One big reason she puts so much unpaid time into the dance team is to promote the studio - the kids are going to do performances at local events as well as competitions.

I just saw Sue's post. OK, I'll let you guys know when we have tickets. You can let me know if you want any, and I'll bring them on the cruise. If you win, will you share the studio with us? LOL They're 40 points at Old Key West, but they might be borrowed from 2006! I think they will transfer though. Oh, and we may be limiting the number of tickets sold.

Here's the funny part, I told them since I was donating the points, I didn't want to have to sell any tickets! I hate selling things.

Every year at the end of the year all the moms donate money for a gift of some sort. We donated the points, so all of the other money went directly to her so she could get park tickets.

It was really cool b/c all the moms got a thank you letter and she said the gift(s) were an answer to prayer. She LOVES to vacation, but knows it takes time and money....so she specifically had been praying that if God didn't want her to take vacations, then He should take the desire from her heart---because she wanted to do what was His will. And then the gift comes..... So she wrote that it was TRULY an answer to her prayers and she felt like God was telling her it was OK to take a break and rest (after all, He did on the 7th day!)

OH MY GOODNESS. I wanted to see if I could find out what my very first post on the DIS was.....

That was dated 3/29/2001. Notice it says we are re-doing our master bath.
Yes, that is the SAME bath that isn't quite done yet. (sigh)

my friend saw an early screening of finding neverland and said it was really good. the college i just graduated from passes out tickets to movie premieres every wednesday during "free hour" (when no one has class). my friends and i used to go all the time, because it was the campus newspaper that handed them out and my friend was the editor of the paper. needless to say we got the passes to every movie we wanted. anywho my friend had a pass to see finding neverland about a week and a half ago and she enjoyed it. so that would be cool if they showed that one! the aviator looks cool too!

An interesting fact. It took 185 days to get to our first 1000 posts.

185 days ago was 5/23. Since 5/23 we have done over 11,000 posts!


It took those 185 days to do our first 1000, but only took 5 days to do our latest 5000!

I was just looking on the DCL webpage to see if there are still rooms available for the Xmas cruise. There still are a number of rooms available. What is really funny is that the rooms on both sides of us are available. I didn't know I had such a bad reputation.

Just went back and looked at my earliest post still available. It is from February 2001 (a year after I joined). It is on the DVC forum talking about our DVC trips that year (one of which was the 7 day Eastern on the Magic). Wish I knew what my very first post was.
