The UPS guy came to our house yesterday. 3 times. BUT, no docs for us yet.:(

UPS came, dropped off a box (nobody was home). Half an hour later they came to pick up a box (we didn't know they were coming yet), soooo they picked up the box that was just dropped off:rolleyes: . DH had to call UPS dispatch and beg them to redeliver the box because he needed the package for a server install first thing this morning. What a mess.

But still no docs.

Get the plumbers boss or maybe the "other brother, Darrel", that guy sounds like a Maroon!

HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ah, I haven't thought about the "other brother, Darrel" in so long!
I've got to give the guy a call today. Although I'm not sure when he'll come out b/c of rehearsals, then Thanksgiving.

As ohiomickey said last night "we haven't used the bathroom in a LONG time, what's another month??"

Ohiominnie, what kind of piping is this? For drains, it can be cast iron, copper or pvc.

PVC....why? you know about drains? I've been trying to hint at Handsome Handyman to come over and fix it, but he's too far away....

you're closer ;)

If you can come fix it, I'll give you some new nomenclature..... ;) ;)

Morning everyone. Yep, I remember the other brother Darryl too. That was back in the days where I actually watched TV.

I should be in chat tonight. Last week, the family mutinied and wouldn't let me sign on. DS said something yesterday about "oh yeah, mom will be hogging the computer tommorow night." He was actually talking about how he asked for prayers for Jeanne (Sue's DM) at Sunday school, and they got confused and prayed for "Casey's friend's mom". He said "I told them it was my Mom's friend's Mom from the internet". Wonder why they couldn't get it straight??? Hmmmmmm.

Work days left. I was just thinking about that. I work M-W next week, am on business travel M-W the following week, back in the office for Th-F. Then 8 more regular days. So I'm in the office 13 days, with 3 days on travel. Given that there are probably 8 holiday parties in that timeframe :P what are the odds of getting much productive done???

Typical weekend around here. House stuff tomorrow morning (cabinets, counters and flooring), then DD and I are going with another Girl Scout and her mom to see Medieval Times. It's a "Teen Girl Scout" trip. The organizer was pretty huffy about no siblings allowed which really bummed out DS, since he really wanted to see the show! So DH is taking him to see National Treasure. Sunday I have nursery duty at church.

Next weekend is pretty open, but the two after that are pretty much loaded up. The last weekend before we leave, the kids are going off to a Winter Weekend camp for Wyld Life, so that's when I plan to finish all the packing.

Can't wait to get our documents! I'll be dancing like a mad woman. Pretty scary sight!

Talk to you all in chat.

Lisa

Ah, the beauty is that GOD knows!! Even without a name He knows what's in our hearts. Comforting for me b/c I'm REALLY bad with names!

That's probably why I don't make a good gossiper---"yeah, someone is getting divorced because that guy said that woman was cheating on him with that other guy and then the OTHER guy said that this woman (no...a different woman)...yeah, whatever...nevermind!" ;)

Typical weekend around here.

This weekend is puppy class (again without the puppy--I don't think she's ready to go yet--stitches, collar, etc) Also the BIG GAME! Then Sunday is now completely open...we were going to go to Cleveland for our Thanksgiving celebration, but that pretty much fell through....so now I think we'll go to Easton!!

Then next weekend will be Nick's shows.

The weekend after will be puppy class and Nick's shows.

The weekend after will be puppy class and Nick's shows. I think we'll try to fit in our own personal Christmas celebration this weekend.

The weekend after I'll be on the MAGIC!!!!

Oh my goodness!!!!!!

Good Morning!
Jim, I know how you feel. I have to go get my second cup of coffee before I finish reading all of the morning posts!

Going to try to get to the office earlier today. Have to get those invoices out. Invoice out = money in. Yep...better get it done!

We have our typical weekend here. The last ballgames for the winter for Jay & I. Soccer in the morning, dance rehearsal, Saturday night dinner/movie date with friends. Must fit laundry in there somewhere, andhave everyone try on their cruise clothing for the last time.
That means I have to try stuff on too. I have a very bad feeling about this!

Guess what I forgot to do? I forgot to get the letters to the kid's teachers, about missing those last couple days of school before Christmas...... so, I'll be doing that this afternoon.

Need to find the "barking collar"...Molly has been on the rampage latey.

Larry, Darrel and Darrel....the good old days........:p

Ohminnie....why would the guy be using a torch on PVC?? There's no soldering involved there.......

Tidbit of useless information: Sometimes you will hear on the news of a house under construction burning. You will hear the newsperson say that they believe the fire started with a Welder's torch. WRONG! It's the PLUMBER. They are the ones who are behind the walls with their little torches, where the wood is......welders, if there are any, don't come in until long after that stage. We get a bad rep from that, and higher insurance premiums.

Well, now that I have stepped down off of my soapbox....guess I'll go to work.

Have a great day!!!

Stacey

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson went on a camping trip. After a good meal and a bottle of wine, they lay down for the night, and went to sleep.

Some hours later, Holmes awoke and nudged his faithful friend.
"Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see."

Watson replied, "I see millions and millions of stars."

"What does that tell you?" Holmes asked.

Watson pondered for a minute. "Astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets.
Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo. Horologically, I deduce that the time is approximately a quarter past three. Theologically, I can see that God is all-powerful and that we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, I suspect that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What does it tell you?"

Holmes was silent for a minute, then spoke. "Watson, you idiot. Somebody has stolen our tent!"

UGH. I hate that too. I have a sick feeling that I'll be shopping all weekend come mid-December! Not only for me, but I just realized that Nick has a lot of pants to wear to dinners, but only one suitable shirt. Guess Nick will be the "skins."

KT and Nick's teacher is being a real jerk about them missing so much school. I'm going to have to talk to her about that. After all, going on the cruise is a LEARNING EXPERIENCE. It's not like they make Flubber in the classes they have now!!!!!

Ours is working great. Hardly use it anymore, but it's on her neck. She knows when it's off and tests. She's obviously feeling better these last couple of days!! We let her loose in the yard last night. I thought she'd run like a maniac but she pretty much stayed by our side.

Who knows. I am SOOO busy in the mornings trying to get the dog, Nick and Mike under control and ready for the day. Add to that a dog with muddy paws and oozing from her incision and I didn't even THINK to ask him what he did!!
I actually didn't SEE flames. Mike said he thought he did. And it smelled like it does when they solder pipes. So I could be wrong there, but I don't know what else has that smell....plumbing wise.

I will say that a lot of what we do on this thread would get us yelled at by a moderator on a regular thread. The "tops" where all we say is top. The "I pm'd you a response to your pm about the pm I sent". The posts counting down to a milestone. All slightly against the main rules. That, however, is what makes the cruise meets board so great. This is our little place and we can kind of do what we want - short of breaking major rules like personal attacks etc (which thankfully we've kept away from). Ok that got a little long winded. Hope I didn't offend anyone. I'm just as quilty of all these things and I think these are the things have made us all laugh and get to know each other. Hope that all makes sense and it doesn't come across like I'm on a soapbox - which honestly I'm not.

You said that very well, Mary.:D

Yes - we all know how she is.....:earseek: Just tell her she's jealous......::earseek:

We can't even ask for Lauren's work - she'll miss the last day before break.... they don't release any homework until the afternoon of the day missed.... really pains... Oh well......

GOOD FRIDAY MORNING EVERYONE! TGIF

Brittany is doing the "30 hour famine" put on by a local church. This is for Jr & Sr high school students and it is to make them aware of the hungry and homeless people in the world.

Good Luck to Brittany!!! Our youth group is doing the same thing in January (I think) --- I'm glad they will keep them busy at church --- I know that things at our house get pretty bad when I accidentally let the "feeding tube" run dry. I do think it is a good experience for them --- we've served a few times to the homeless and it is really an eye opening experience.
