I still have hope for this cruise. But last time, he was early to bed several nights. If this happens again, I'll join the club!

Ohminnie.....Jay and I are giving eachother the cruise as a gift. That guarantees that I actually get a gift this year! (Other than a new out house).
The kids are only getting a couple of small things in their stockings. They'll find things they will want on the islands, so that can be part of their gifts.
It's such a nice feeling to have some of that done, isn't it?
Mentioning the pacifier made me think about Jordan. When she was little, she always had 3 of them. One in her mouth, and one in each hand. A pair and a spare.
One night, she was maybe not quite two....we went in her room, she had "lost" her binky. We looked everywhere, couldn't find it. So we gave her another one.
The next night, she lost it again, only this time she was laughing at us as we searched. Seemed a little odd, because usually, if she lost one, she cried. Jay went over to her, started searching, she had put it down the pant leg of her pajamas....and burst out laughing when Jay found it!!
That was back when she was cute and clever.............

Happens to me every morning, Stacey! And we don't have a single hill in our yard. I take Maggie out. She prefers to do her business in the FARTHEST corner of the yard.....then it hits her!! THE PAPER!!! THE NEWSPAPER HAS BEEN DELIVERED!!! And she takes off at breakneck speeds, me running behind her as fast as I can to avoid being dragged along the ground. She gets to the end of the driveway and snags her prize!! Then darts as quickly as possible to the BACK door (of course!) but not without changing directions suddenly and abruptly several times to avoid the things that spook her (i.e. those big, scary green garbage cans)
By the time we get back I'm huffing and puffing and ready to go back to bed!

It's really bad when you use abbreviations when you talk. Like when I tell a "non-internet" friend something like "my dh called me from work the other day." and they look at you like "what in the *^#% is a DH?"![]()

Ah, yes. I kissed my 7 yr old son today at Wal*mart and thought to myself "some day he's going to wipe the kiss off, groan, and have an elaborate death scene"![]()

Everything went downhill on Sunday! DM has been sick and she fell yesterday in the bathroom. She didn't break anything but it scared her. My house looks like a cruise ship with the bars I have on all the walls. Even in her bathroom I have grab bars on every wall. Then, I am taking a nap (stress related I am sure) one of the dogs gets sick all over the bed. yuk. We are supposed to leave for HH on Wednesday and I will have to cancel. I don't think DM is strong enough for the trip right now. I have to get her better for the cruise.

As not to disappoint the chatty bunch from last evening...
busy, busy, busy weren't you all.
I was on at 9:30pm EST and had 10+ pages to read at 7:30 am. I think you all posted more pages in that 10 hours than we did all weekend.
Was that the kind of whining you all were expecting?

DS did use a pacifier only the "NUK" type would satisfiy him.
