Good Thursday Morning Everyone!!!

Welcome susaswim - it's great to have more people joining us. My DD want's to know how old your younger sisters are also. My DD is 15 yo(a sophomore in high school) and she is looking for more girls her age.

Not too much going on today. Just moving around some funiture because we are getting new stuff tomorrow. DH will be here to help me move this funiture - NOT!!! So this might get pretty interesting. :tilt:  I'll probably have to have a bottle of wine after I am done.:drinking1 (Thanks Virgil)

Have a great day. If I get a chance I will check in later and let you know how I fared.

one is 19 and the other one is 17.

thanks for the welcomes! we are either one deck 6 or 8 also. however i'm not sure because we were on one and now we're on the other because we changed our room. so i can't rememer if we were on 6 and now are on 8 or if we were on 8 and now we're on 6. i'll have to find out i guess! haha

sugaswim - sent you a pm - welcome aboard!

Good Morning Cruisers....

Way to go SOX!!! Didn't even make the end of the game last night (pathetic). I couldn't keep my eyes open. I got up too early for a work out class and the teacher is a killer, yet motivating, and my legs are killing me(again, pathetic). Has anyone ever used that big exercise ball? It's a killer.

Welcome to the group sugaswim.

Well the kids took an early nap today so I was going to see how far I could get with the "how we met" story.

Once Upon A Time.......

Gus - This is our time in a wheelchair accessible and I booked this room a year ago. I am too picky to do a gty, forward facing sofa, starboard side....

I was job hunting and I was offered two jobs.

One was to manage a small print shop (Iam a printer by trade) and the other was to manage a small office in a warehouse/trucking company.

I took the latter.

Not long after, this very friendly, teddy bear looking guy comes in. He starts joking and hamming it up with me and I start thinking...this guy likes me. Now he just said his name was Jim and he worked in the other building. After he leaves one of the girls tells me..that's the owner's son. Thinking, OK I like my job so I am not going to touch this one with a ten foot pole. Then I find out he likes to party, something I definately wasn't into at the time, so now it's a defiante no interest.

He asked me out and I was honest with him about the reasons listed above and he was cool with that. Every time we we ran into each other we of course would start flirting. He would ask me out and I would tell him , "you know I can't date you". So this goes on for about a year (he tells me he didn't give up because he was hoping to catch me at weak moment).

So then comes the "Annual Company Picnic". I brought my neice that was about two years old at the time who I was babysitting for the weekend. Well, she is sticking to me like velcro and won't speak to anyone. Along comes Jim trying to make her smile and she's not budging. Well then he does his weekly asking me out routine and after a few minutes I tell him, "if you can get Jess (DN) to say yes, I will go out with you". Now, she has not said boo all day so I figure I am pretty safe. Jim pulls out all the stops and he's working it, workin it...say yes, say yes, say yes. All of a sudden she turns with this huge smile and ever so sweetly comes out with "yes". OH, NO.

Baby's crying. To be continued.....

Two brothers were always getting into trouble in their neighborhood. The people in the neighborhood started complaining to the parents about the boys. So the boys parents decided to have their priest talk to the boys. The priest asks to speak to the boys alone, requesting to see the youngest first. The young boy comes in and sits at a large table across the room from the priest. The priest looks at the boy, points at him and, trying to emphasize that God is in everyone, asks, "Where is God?" The boy looks around the room and back at the priest and says nothing. Again, the priest points at the boy and in a louder voice asks, "Where is God?" The boy says nothing. The priest walks around the table, pointing inches from the boy’s face and asks again, "Where is God?" The boy jumps out of his chair and runs out the door. The boy runs right home, grabs his older brother and says to him, "We are in BIG trouble!" His brother replies, "We haven't done anything!" The younger brother replies, "God's missing, and they think we did it!"

The keynote speaker at my St. Louis conference was Dr. Robert Webster , who said, among many other interesting things, that those who plan on taking a cruise during flu season should talk to their physician about the FluMist vaccine or a prescription for TamiFlu to take onboard with you.

FluMist is only indicated for those 5-49 years old with no reactive airway disease (asthma). I thought I'd pass it along.

I talked to our GP and we got the FluMist on Monday (it goes up your nose and drips to your throat, it's disgusting). They warn you that you may experience mild flu-like symptoms for a couple of days (it's a live vaccine). My DH was fine, but I spent yesterday being completely miserable...luckily it only lasted 1 day.

Just FYI.

When we travel to foreign countries, our family doctor gives us each a prescription for Cipro...the "Anthrax" antibiotic. Three pills, they are good for traveller's diarrhea, and just about everything else.

I'll give the short version of our marriage. If Pam wants to fill in the details she can.

Horny Guy.... Hot girl.... Brady Bunch....Kids gone.... Waiting to die!

Paul

I'd be willing to bet my last dollar that Pam has a more romantic version than that!:rotfl: :rotfl:
But I'd also be willing to bet that that's how Jay would describe OUR meeting! (except maybe the hot/horny were reversed!)
