The Upgrade phone call came !!!!

I got back from London today, and lo and behold, my travel agent called !!

Upgrade to category 3 !!!! Stareroom 8086 !!!

Let's party on the verandah !!!!

The upgrade is not cheap, but I can justify it on our 10 day cruise.

Isn't great how we can justify almost anything if we want it bad enough !!!!

David - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!

We were in 8086 on the Wonder over EASTER. It's a great location close to the back stairs.... I snuck down with our carry-ons before the rope went down - made it really nice...

Glad you could join the Cat3ers........of course - you were our neighbors - we got 8048!!!

btw - how was London? DS said the weather has been terrible recently - of course - he's been flying to the Azores, Germany, etc... recently so I don't know how much he's actually been in England...

Ok, call me a glass 1/2 full kinda girl, but the order of those pictures is kinda mean. Nice big snowman, SMOOSH, smashed snowman. Whereas flat snowman first would have made it look like you had "rescued" him in the second, big snowman picture.

Ok, I obviously need to go to bed.

Hmmm, maybe a stupid question, but I pulled out my DCL ship maps and looked up these rooms....8048, 8086...How come, on deck 8, there are FIVE cat 3's in the aft section on port side, but only THREE on starboard side? All of the other suites are symetrical on both sides of the ship....in fact all other ROOMS are symetrical. But not the aft deck 8 cat 3's.

Weird.

Good question - I was wondering that too.....My first thought was that it was to give more CAT. 4s... but putting it (8086) next to 8582 where it belongs - would yield a net gain of zero....

There has to be some design reason...

I never realized that about deck 8 - not sure why they have it like that. We can't afford deck 8 so we've never checked out the rooms there.
