Stacy, I am old. 54, DH 59. Read on these posts some of you are bringing parents, our age. Maybe we should start a "geezer" thread like the teen one. LOL

Hi everyone. Happy Friday.

Stacey-I sent you an e mail last night.

Diana-Welcome back-sent you a pm yesterday as I was not sure if you changed your e mail address yet.

LeiLani-I sent you a pm a few days ago regarding the brunch.

Charlotte-just e mailed you regarding the MVMCP tickets.

I have been getting e mails kicked back and some of my pm's have not gone through?? The computer seems to be working ok. Strange things happening??!!

David-I pm you last week. Are we still on for the 24th?? Give me a call when you get a chance.

Mary-It was great to talk to you last night.

Welcome to all the newcomers-You are going to have such a great time . This DIS group is awesome!!!!! They are the nicest. Still wishing and dreaming I could join you all. DH and I have a date tonight. If we get home early enough I will drop into chat.

Enjoy the weekend everyone.Gail

Lisa, so take that $100 that your DH saved you (realtor kicking in) and get yourself a spa treatment of some sort in the cruise. :-)

HAPPY FRIDAY ALL!!!!!

So, I have broke down this morning and paid off the cruise. I am now broke. Guess I need to figure out how to make some more $$$$$. Well, I know how to do it, it is just the time it takes for me to do all my extra Ebay stuff!!!! I have good intentions every week, I just get too darn busy with all this Disney stuff to do!!!

Judy and Lisa (I think it's you two) Jamie Lynn our DD is 12. She will be 13 in April. She is the only one at home though, her brother and sisters (from dad's first marriage) are all married and they have kids so she has always been hanging around with older folk, so everyone always thinks she is older than she is. We will have to get the three of them together. I know my DD doesn't want to hang around with her nieces and nephews for 10 whole days!!!

Okay, need to work to pay for the cruise. Later.

Linda

We too are wanting to go to Trunk Bay this trip. We were going to try it on our own, but DH and I just had the "it's Christmas Day and the schedules might be different" conversation and decided to book thru Disney. With taxis and ferry's for the two of us, it will not be much $$ difference. Another task for me today.....call the excursion folks.

Oh yeah!!! My first top and I am on the lame computer that will not let me post smiles!! Well, Bounce, Bounce, Pirate, Smile!!

GOOD MORNING CRUISERS !

Kevin, I haven't been able to come up with a design for the label. Any ideas? How about Slip Me A Mickey for the name? The wine we have to select from is sub par. DH and I tried it and its ok if you have already had something else. Tell me about your guy. Am still interested.

:cheer2: Have a good one everyone. Denise

"Slip me a Mickey", fun title! But wait, I'm confused.....(no wisecracks) What is this for?

And you're telling me you have sub-par wine selection in California. Come on girl! You need to get out more....:teeth: :teeth:

Just an FYI for anyone with children in the Club or Lab. On Castaway Cay day, the kids can be a part of a show in the main theater. They are all given T-Shirts that say "Remember the Magic" and Disney shows a slide show of the kids through out the time they were on the ship. It is fun to see what your child was doing all that time they were away from you. We missed this event the first time we sailed because I didn't know what it was. Lisa has enjoyed participating in this event since then (Matt is too old.)

Patty.....we really wanted to go to St John on our own to snorkel, too. But since it will be Christmas, I didn't want to chance not having the ferries running and all.
I have since found that there is definitely a set rountine for the islanders on Christmas.....they do not work a normal schedule, if at all.
We booked Captain Nautica's St John snorkel adventure, to be certain that we got over there.
But, you could probably still book something on your own. When I was looking, I just did a search for the island, and all kinds of info comes up. Best to look at a Chamber of Commerce site, if there is one. Here are a couple of excursion sites:
www.thedancingdolphin.com and
www.daysailfantasy.com
You have a good point Stacey! The "Scuba Divers" have booked our own excursion for that day and it didn't poise a problem. You might try Coki Beach area. They have some good snorkeling, from the beach and is not hard to get to. Try
Coki Beach for some information.

Angie, you gave me the best laugh I've had in a looong time...

Bounce bounce, pirate......

YOU are not old....I'm 46, and my DH is 54.....we just had our kids way too late.....not by choice. Jay's dad passed away at 82 this year.....

If you guys are looking at DCL's excursions for St Thomas/St John....we are doing the Captain Nautica's St John Snorkel Excursion. I think the noon one...yes...noon. Because we have to go to the customs thing, and then I wanted to have our little Christmas gift opening....
But I picked Capt Nautica, because it's a faster boat...not as much time wasted getting to and from.

I have talked on the phone to a gal in St Thomas twice this week, and YES....they have definite traditions that day....and for most, working is not one of those traditions. Those who do work charge twice the regular price. Go with the Disney thing!

Have you all been booking your golf through Disney?

After my DH looked at this thread and saw how many people were playing he's decided to go ahead and play golf (darn, one less bag for me!), so now I need to book is golf.

Looks like we might go with the St. John Trunk Bay Beach and Snorkel Tour ---- hate the time 7:40am, but one DD wants to just sit on the beach so that will work for her.

Patty

:bounce: :Pinkbounc pirate: Ok, I moved to the other computer and can do this right now!! Will check on that same excursion to St John. Last trip we did St. Thomas and really want to see St. John this trip

I have a question for you all -- are most of you doing Disney shore excursions or going out on your own. I know my DH wants to ride Jet Skis in Key West --- is there a place nearby the port where we can rent them and do we need reservations?

Check out Island Watersports. It is located in the Hilton Marina which is right next to the ship. We are doing the 1:30 island tour. If you can't find their number on the web, send me a PM as a reminder and I'll send you their phone number. They do take reservation.

Sounds good Linda. As you know, my DD is in Girl Scouts too, so the two of them have some common things. Looking at the navigators, the 10-12 yo's do some "hanging at the Stack" while the teens are other places, so they'll get a taste of the teen program.

We have a talkative bunch today. I'm checking in at lunch and had to read 3 pages!

gaRry- better get ready - 12,000 will be here before you know it!

Good afternoon everyone!

It's getting cloudy and overcast here, looks like rain any minute. Was hoping for some :sunny: this weekend.

Lots to read and catch up on today! On Monday, it's just two months 'til sail away! Wow.....it's coming up fast! :boat:

Gail - Got your email.....will send one soon.

Patty - My DH is using DCL for golf.........easier. Taking his own golf shoes, but renting clubs (like other DH's have decided). So, you might get that extra bag back for yourself afterall!

Linda - Sending you a pm.

Angie - LOL at the "bounce, bounce, pirate, smile" post, too! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyone else have a DS that's in the 5-6 yr. old group? Our youngest is 5 1/2 and would dearly love a cruise buddy! (No online posting groups for them, though!)

Good afternoon Cruisers!!

I just booked the 17th at the Raddison - anyone else staying there??

we are arriving early from Boston on the 17th and our son is coming in from Long Beach CA on the overnight flight - so we got a great deal on a suite - beats paying for 2 rooms so our son can sleep.

Any suggestions on what to do down by the Raddison???
