Hi everyone. How messed up the reservations desk at DCL is today. I called after reading all your posts and spoke to Eric. He was a pain in the b---!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called back as I got NO WHERE with him. I spoke to Shelby who was lovely and I boooked everything right through the computer. She had no trouble at all. I called back and have it faxed. They are sending a copy to my home as well. WE are NOT paid in full and they booked all the excursions for us. She never even asked me to pay in full. I guess I was lucky.

We booked:

Key West: Nothing through DCL- on our own to do the Aquarium and Butterfly World.

St. Thomas: We are taking DD to Trunk Bay for snorkling at 8:10am. We will retun and p/u DS from childrens program and go to Coral World and hit the beach next to it. We will cab it r/t. I also want to hit the shops in St. Thomas.

St. Marteen: The entire family is booked for the Semi-Submarine and Island Tour at this moment. I would perfer to book this on our own and just to the Semi-Submarine as we want to go to Ill Pinel Island on our own. We will rent a car for the day.

St. Lucia: We booked the 9:00am Caribbean Pirate excursion. I feel so bad DS can't go he is not 4 yet!!! He will be in the childrens program again.

Antigua:???????????? Not much to do there with DS???!!

CC: DH is so psyched. DH is booked on the AM fishing trip. I was told they only take 6 people out in the am and 6 in the afternoon.

DH loves to fish. I hope he can find an excursion on his own -mabye in Antigua or Key West.

I am so excitied. 3 months to go!!!!!!!

Mary, I just received my fax from DCL . My reservation was blank for St. Lucia as well. I called them and spoke to Gloria and she told me that Shelby put in the wrong code on my booking. I was booked for a trip to the Pitons?????? As I am writing to you she re booked us correctly. I am now waiting for a new fax. It is still blank but she reassured me that it is the excursion I want. Gloria said it is because it is a new port that it is not loaded into the system. MARY, Call them back and make sure you are booked correctly. TTYL-Gail

Mary & Gail - my Pirate excursion is showing blank also. The supervisor said she thinks it is just messed up because of the new system. I am calling back again in the morning and I better have that excursion or I will be upset. I just can't believe that all the excursions are already getting booked when I would think most people do not know they can do it at the 90 day mark. It also makes me mad that they let you (Gail) make the reservations without paying in full. I wanted to wait until Oct, not because we can pay it now, but I wanted to leave the money in the bank for another month. (Not much interest, but some) Oh well. I will call back tomorrow and see what is up.

I'm going to call in the morning. It is past 7pm Eastern so I'm not sure they are even still open. Plus when I called this morning Tim asked if there were any problem to please call back tomorrow.

I don't think they realized how the new 90 day booking was going to effect our cruise. It looks like most of the problems seem to be with St. Lucia since it really isn't in the system right.

Gail, I'm surprised too that they look you book without being paid in full. I really thought that was one of the requirements. We've been paid for a while now and the first thing I got when we paid was an e-mail from Dreams saying now that we were paid in full we could book excursions as soon as they opened up at the 60 day mark (this was before the change).

Good thing I'm still off work tomorrow so that I can take care of these things. Wouldn't be fair to my work to have me on the phone doing all this.

I also booked our limo yesterday for travel from the port to Beach Club and then a town car from Beach Club to the airport. Now all we have to do is get our REAS finished and we'll be ready to cruise!

Gail - do you ever get final confirmation on our dining rotation?

Well off to make some dinner and then to read the rest of the boards!

Oh my gosh. I am SO PI____!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called back to confirm that this was booked correctly and now they put us on the 1:15pm private ship. Deidra -a reservation supervisor just got on the phone with me to fix the problem. They are so messed up there today. NOW I AM REALLY UPSET. I AM ON THE 1:15PM AND WAIT LISTED UNTIL TOMORROW FOR THE 9:00AM. DEIDRA IS GOING TO SPEAK TO HER MGR TOMORROW AND FIND OUT WHY THIS HAPPENED TO US. We were booked hrs. ago on the 9:00am. I am glad I kept everyone's names that I spoke too.

I don't think they were prepared for this at all. I've got the name of who I talked to and also the time. I'm sure they will straighten it all out in the morning. I was really stressed about it this morning but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt until morning.

on the 9 am sailing!

If the Holiday Cruise is this messed up, I just can't wait to see what happens to the first repo cruise.

Guess I should have pushed harder -- this morning (late morning for me, past noon at DCL), I was told the AM Pirate thing was sold out, so I settled for the PM one. Now it seems I should have tried harder. The agent did say the St Lucia ecursions are showing blank, and in 2 weeks you can get a correct fax (my fax was showing blank for SL as well). So we booked
St Lucia Pirates 1:15PM -- should I call tomorrow again to find out if we can switch???
We also booked the Atlantic sub on St thomas and the AM fishing trip on CC (the latter just for the boys, I'll pass). I guess they'll be on that one with Gail's husband?

I'm not sure what else to do as far as excursions -- go on our own or book a couple more. Right now I would REALLY love to figure out the 9AM Pirate "thing" in St. Lucia...

Yeah, not a good day for DCL.

Dee - I would try. I hope that if there are mix-ups they take us in the order we called. Ken got up really really early to call and thanks to him the rest of us were able to call as well. When I call if it isn't showing the 9am I'm going to push the time I called and who I talked to. As I said before right now I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that my blank on is for the 9am Pirate cruise.

I'm glad I don't know what I want to book yet as I'm sure that I wouldn't have wanted to deal with all of those confused cast members that sort of tried to help you all book your excursions.

Hope they really do have everything right. How did you all know that we could book 90 days out? I checked the DCL site and it still says 60 days. I thought I had another month to review the options (DH would say I thought wrong)

Well I better get looking at the list some more before all of the excursions are full.

OK, the stress level has turned down a lot of notches. I was just frustrated that they did not have it together. They knew that this was going to be the day for the phone calls-they should of had it in place. I am so surprised as DCL- really 99% of the time has it all together. They are so organized. I tried to be organized and looks what happens!!! I hope we all get on the 9:00 excursion in St. Lucia. Enough Said.

MrsMork - we are at Beach Club on the 28th. Staying over just the one night for a better airfare. The good thing is we'll be able to do Stitch at Magic Kingdom during the day and then over to Epcot to do the Candlelight Processional.

We are staying at Vero Beach on the 17th and then off on the cruise!

Vicki - The buzz about the 90 days has been on the main cruise board for a couple of weeks now. Anyone booking going forward will now have to be paid 90 days in advance as well.

Gail - I agree that they could have been more prepared. Let's hope we can all get it straightened out in the morning!
