Oh, that's something else. We want to try the Palo brunch. We've done dinner there. It was pretty good. Was it great? No. But the souffle made the meal. In fact, next time I'm ordering three souffles FOR my meal. Then I'll get one for dessert.

We also had a great server who took a lot of time to chat with us (some may have found this annoying....a "go away already" kind of thing)
We did almost have a wine emergency. ohiomickey and I were QUITE nervous about it. We wanted to get one of the wines off of our wine package list. The server said "oh, this is a special night, why not get something really special." So we say alright. We have NO idea anything about wines, so we suggest he pick based on what we had ordered.
He ends up coming back and taking our wine glasses and exchanging them for these big round goblets, explaining to us that they ONLY use these special CRYSTAL glasses for their reserve list wines. They enhance the bouquet and flavor of the wine. He then says he'll be right back with our wine. We look around. NO ONE ESLE in Palo has "special CRYSTAL glasses." They all have regular joe-schmo glasses. We are VERY VERY afraid of our wine bill. What do we say at that point? "uh, if this is an expensive wine, we don't want it." ???
Ended up the wine was only about $15-20 more than the alloted $38 we had with our package deal. We were EXPECTING it to be $50-$100 more, so we were happy. The wine itself? Alright, I guess. It was very hard to drink out of those "special CRYSTAL glasses." I'd have preferred my Fess Parker Chardonay from my package.
