TinksDad, now that I have the drysuit I need to get some new underwear. What do you wear?

Oh, I guess we should PM that kind of information!

Oh no, don't PM, you're just getting to the interesting part!

Umm...sorry. Couldn't resist. (Innocently looking around) What?

I'm really going now.

We will be here in May for some diving. We could do some springs or do a drift in Ft. Lauderdale. Possibly a drift in Crystal River, but probably to late for the manatee.

Of course you don't have to wait until May to go diving. Aren't you going to be in Orlando in December for a couple of days and have all your gear with you?

Ginnie is currently flooded out. We were going this weekend, but will have to go to another spring.

I've dove off both West Palm Beach and Boyton Beach areas and enjoyed thae drift dive very much. Not quite Cozumel, but I'll take it. Alicia hasn't done that yet, so that may be a idea. What's the water temps in December?

Ya, heard Ginnie been taking a lot of water. Saw a report, (yes, Diana's watching the Weather Channel again ;) and saw that Gainesville was almost 9 inches over their normal rainfall for the year and it's just September.

OK, OK! Get your minds out of the gutter! You guys have been hanging with Stacey to long!!

Now, to answer that "serious" question. There is a gal up in Washington state that makes some really nice polar fleece undies that are great. Check her site out at SoftWear Good stuff. For California, I wear the 200 weight and was fine down to 52° or so. The hood helped and if it gets colder than that I've got some Polypro long johns to wear under.

Come to think of it.... that might be a better picture than the one suggested of the Speedos.

Water temp down south is not bad. It should be in the mid-upper 70's because of the jet stream. It comes in close there. Here in Daytona it be will dropping to the low 70's. It will be 5 mil diving, just like at the springs. Of course the springs will be 70 degrees.

I'll take a look at the site. Of course I will need something different for my CA trip since that is going to be in the 50's. We don't dive that cold here, normally the springs are the coldest at 68-70 which will be a lighter undies. I got some time on this one. Actually I need to get some new ones for back packing so I'll be checking out some stores for double duty.

Great stuff on the SoftWear site. The obvious suggestion would be to layer as needed for the bottom temps your going to be at. That way your not to hot when the temps to warm up with your "core" undies.

Our diving here is pretty much consistently in the lower 60's and the 200 weight is fine. I would have to consider her 100 weight for the springs and then layer as needed for colder dives. The last bunch of dives I've made here have been out at Rock Lake, a deep (300') lake on private property that is pretty interesting. There is a pretty good thermocline at about 35'- 40' and the water goes from 70° above to 62° below. I was keeping in the colder water to keep from overheating on a couple of dives towards the end.

Another tidbit, when you add that much layers it can play havoc with your bouyancy. You might want to do a check with what you think might work and weight yourself before you go to California.

DW read this and commented that you have it all wrong. To get TinksDad to visit you, you simply need to host a dive trip to visit the Great Lake Wrecks. Divers will do anything to get a dive trip in.

Darn! We had the pool closed today. He could have dove there!

Thanks Mary, for clearing up the confusion.

And thankyou GaRry, for all the hard work you are about to get into with all the t-shirt orders. It is much appreciated.
Do you have enough room in your luggage for all of them?

Are you flying or driving down?

Any diving around your area..............

You've been so kind. I'll pick up the tab on one of your dinners on the cruise. It's the least I can do! :)

Do you know of any websites that show texturing examples? (actual photos) I textured (and I may be using that term incorrectly) my family room but it was a slop on random job. I want something that is *fairly* smooth for my bathroom b/c of the border I want to hang. Besides I don't need a bunch of dust and condensation hanging out in the grooves of my texturing (the way my family room is done, that would be a problem in a bathroom)

It finally arrived!! The UPS Guy made my day....he delivered my DUI drysuit.

OK maybe I need to go to bed, but when I read this all I could think about was DUI as in Driving (or in this case diving) under the influence. So is this the suit you wear to the wine tasting party?

Linda, how did you get a resie at Liberty Treee Tavern when we're not at the 90-day mark yet? Or did the policy change on me again? My last several visits to WDW were in decidedly off-peak times, so I never bothered with PS. We simply walked over to the restaurant of our choice and got seated. Uh...the good old days!
:teeth: Come to think of it, it's been a year since my last visit. Way too long!

If you have ordered tickets to MVMCP you can go ahead and make PS's at Liberty Tree Tavern now - ahead of the 90 day mark.

That's funny! :rotfl: :rotfl:
It actually stands for , Diving Unlimited International a drysuit manufacture in San Diego. They make very nice, high end drysuits, used in cold water diving.

But I might wear mine for the wine tasting party....... NOT! I'm diving warm water!!:bounce:

W O W I think my box is full. lots of shirt orders. If any one wants they can send me there shirts ( sorry paul NO thoungs )

Mary, you made a funny!

Jim, it's true that the scuba equipment is going on the cruise, nothing I can do about that. It was really fun on our Celebrity cruise last December, since we didn't have a balcony. Fun as in "I'd really like to take a shower, but I can't because of all the scuba equipment hanging in the tub"! However, the drysuits are NOT going on the cruise, and the divers won't have a car since they are NOT leaving me at OKW without one. And it's Holiday time at the parks, that means family time. No, no, no. Don't even go there. We'll be moving to FL soon enough, you can have them then. Sorry, honey. Just call me Grinch.

Is Stacey home yet? We need a report. BTW, Alicia made her dance team this year, in spite of being a total goofball at the auditions.
