Yeah GaRry!

We need 1400 posts to get to 10,000. With 110 days left that means 12.72 posts per day.

Here's mine :D

Good Monday Morning all.....

Had a great time at the Greenbrier....

Lauren did the Alpine tower (about 50 ft high)- she managed to climb up all three routes - easy, intermediate and advanced.... I was really proud of her... The look of determination on her face was great.

Well - work the next couple of days....

Still trying to figure out excursions... at least DW is now ready to look at the books....

Hmmm ...diving, golf.... my what choices we have to make....

I was trying to explain to DH the concept of posting even though you have nothing to say. See honey? Here's what I mean!

Happy Monday everyone.

Do you think we will get to page 600 this week? That should help GaRry get to his 10,000th post in time for the cruise!

Guess I better start looking at the excursions. I can decide, but it is hard for me to get anywhere with the kids. Trying to coordinate between 13 people is a pain. I think I will decide what I want to do and then tell them. Then they can decide what they want to do. They are paying for their own excursions! Hope they are saving their money!

Okay, work to do.

Anyone going anywhere for Labor Day weekend?

Linda:wave2:

We need to look at excursions. What page are those posted on, does anyone remember? We briefly talked to my parents about it. The only real one we could remember was the Pirate ship one....but even then, couldn't remember what port it was in.

Been so busy with the puppy and planning the October trip that we haven't given it much thought.

Good news....KT and Nick were invited to audition for two plays that are going to be in the Columbus area!!! KT is auditioning for the lead roles of both!! If she gets them, that'd be great, if she doesn't, I'll save about 12,000 miles on the van! :) Both plays interfere with either our October or December vacation in some way (either rehearsals or performances) but they are probably double casting for both anyway. :)

Thanks for explaining it because I have been wondering the same thing.

OK, hummm, hummm. Guess you'll have to splain it again....... I'm not getting it yet. Do you have pictures? Charts, graphs?

OK, life intruded and I haven't visited in a while. Could someone tell me who Sophie is and why we are keeping her in our prayers? I assume that is the ribbon with halo. I'll put her on the prayer list at church.

Do I need to go back to the last page I read (575 is ringing a bell) to find out about excursions that people are going on?

Any other major things I missed out on?

Good to be back - now that the boys are back in school!

Teresa

This is how you get more posts! Might I edit my post to say I haven't been back since 557...

oops.

Teresa -- welcome back!

Sophie is the granddaughter of a poster on the cruise board who goes by Emmasgrammy. Emma and her mom were lost in a fire a week ago and little Sophie who is only 3-4 months old is in very critical condition. We are praying for a mircle and her recovery.

OM - can't remember what pages the excrusions were on, but I listed all the St. Lucia ones in the August Newsletter and the Antiqua ones in the July newsletter. All of them are also on the DCL site which might be easier than shifting through all the posts :D

Lisa - Dinner on Friday in Hershey sounds great. Let me run the choices past Mark and get his take and we'll also see what everyone else wants to do. I think we'd prefer the buffet since we are spoiled by Chicago pizza, but we'll go with the flow of what everyone else wants.

This is 8612 which means we've done our 12 posts for today :D To get to page 600 we need 375 more posts. Let's call Saturday the end of the week (using a calendar). That means we need 62.5 posts per day. I think that might be a little hard to do, especially with Stacey out of town. :D I'm all for trying however!

Even with Stacey here I don't think we could get to 60+ posts a day......

o come. on anything is possible if you just believe :wizard:

 old ppl (just kidding)

Well, I guess I will throw my post in for today as we surge towards 10,000.

Mary & Vicki - thanks for all the information, thoughts, and prayers, I will pass them along to my Mom.

Virgil, or anyone else for that matter - if you are interested in a golf excursion let me know. I think there is one offered on 2 or 3 of the islands and I am sure DH will be taking advantage of at least one of those and I know he would love to have company.

Gail & Diana - I talked to Debbie again today and she said that once the theme nights were available we could put in a request for our dinning rotation. She said it would need to go through the group leader you guys have been dealing with. So I will keep in touch with her and let you know when I find out anything.

That's about all I have for today so everyone have a great evening.

Okay, I do have more to say. :p

I sure am glad we are cruising after hurricane season is over. I have been reading the posts about Frances and watching the weather channel and it doesn't look good. If she stays on the projected path it looks like she might hit southern FL(maybe even Port Cavaneral) sometime this weekend. Not only does that mess up the cruise already in progress, but the cruise due to leave Saturday and the Wonder due to leave Thursday and Sunday.

Best wishes for a smooth and uneventful sailing for all those cruisers.

Who let the whippersnapper in here?

Just kidding, Gregg. You can stay but the attitude has to leave.

:p

Leilani, it's "Mystery Cruise" season. That's why the rates are lower, you never know what you will get. When we cruised in Oct. '02, there were three hurricanes/tropical storms in the Caribbean the week before we left. But we had no problems. Still, central FL doesn't need another hurricane right now.

I have to agree with you Diana, it's that time of year. I grew up in the Northwest Panhandle of FL and went through several hurricanes myself. I still keep an eye on the weather channel during this time of year, because all of my Mom's side of the family still lives there (and most of them in mobile homes). And you are right, FL does not need another hurricane right now so I am keeping my fingers crossed it will make the turn out to sea.

Of course - Hurricane Frances - happens to have the same name as my wife....That alone would make me want to leave any coastal areas..... Not a good thing.... I thought a few years ago when there was a Francis - that we'd gotten by without any problems.... But - the minute that they named this one Frances.... I knew that we would be in trouble...
