I'm going to order Song of the South. My kids have never seen it either.
Kind of a weird coincidence, we ate at Ruby Tuesday yesterday with DSIL. Behind us was a poster for SOTS. Jordan pointed it out, and I told the kids about it, and its connection to Splash Mountain. Near the bathrooms, they had a Sword in the Stone poster, too.

Okay...by show of hands....how many of you got bored with my trip report, and quit after the first installment??

Good afternoon everyone!
Stacy... no way... enjoyed every minute of your trip report! Sure wish I could have met up with you guys! We ended up not getting in until really late and then were exhausted.
I was hoping to meet up with Diana & Alicia at the All Star Pin Trading last night but they never made it. Oh well.. maybe they were getting last minute park time before the hurricane.
Today the AK, DTD and the water parks are closed. Other parks are closing at 1pm as I write.... We made a jaunt to MGM this AM to play millionaire...(and pick up the new pin...) the park was practically empty and everything was a walk on! had fun and as always.. DH was at the top of the list at Millionaire and the show ends... Ah well... a 3 day cruise is not long enough anyway... free or not! A CM there once told us that we would probably pay more in taxes on the "value" of the prize than if we just paid FL Res Rates for the cruise!! She's probably right as they value the grand prize package at over $7000! (Little trivia there)
We will be bored stiff sitting here waitng for the hurricane to come or not. They keep changing the forecast hourly. No worries.. I've got my big bottle of Parrot Bay to get us thru.... : I just hope the power doesn't go out.. at least I can play online! DH is painting.. which I AM NOT ALLOWED to do. Long story behind that... but it suits me just fine.
I'll check in from time to time and let you all know what's happening. Just in case you all need something to put you to sleep....LOL

Good Afternoon everyone -
Okay, Charley news. We awoke at 2:30 to torrential rains. Winds like crazy and I think some thunder/lighning don't remember - we were too busy moving things on the screened porch that we haven't had to move since Andrew. When we got up at 5:45 there was no rain, but wind. Boyd took DS to school (1/2 hr drive). I usualy do it, but I drive a mustang and it needs new tires and we were afraid of street flooding, but I digress. Just spoke with DD who is in Gainsville (north of Orlando). She was moving from one apartment to another and is now planning to stay until at least tomorrow. The storm is supposed to hit there around 5, but even if she leaves early will most likely hit rain on the way home. Arghhhhh...... Just saw on tv that a tornado was spotted just west of us. All of us need pixie dust and I mean NOW!!!
I'll try to check in later.

Hi Leslie! I was hoping we could meet, too.....and we were actually available for lunch on Monday!! LOL

Thank you for the update on the parks and the weather. I guess it's a good thing Megan & I left when we did. Hope everyone there is okay.

I talked to a travel agent yesterday, and she said the numbers have been down in the parks all summer. I was surprised that it wasn't as crowded as I was expecting.

Okay - 3:00 - upgraded to category 4 (not a good thing like on the cruise!) Looks like it will hit Ft. Myers and not Tampa. 2 million told to evacuate - strongest since Andrew. Will hit w/in the next 2 hrs. We're still in tornado watch. Supposed to go right over Orlando. Really worried about DD (Sandy) - she's with her boyfriend - he lives in a 2nd floor apartment in Gainesville. Can't wait to hear from her. I love FL, I love FL, I love FL .......

It's me, Dancind, on Dd's laptop, hence the ID. Not used to typing on a laptop, sheesh. We are in between "waves" right now, just had a wave of rain, lightning, and possible tornadoes. Orlando is the "BULLS EYE" of the storm right now, we're expecting 75 mph winds about 11 tonight. Disney has not provided any emergency instructions, but I have it on good authority (a maid) that there will be emergency personnel on every floor, ready to move us if necessary. We will wear clothes to bed tonight. Alicia is worried the most about her laptop.

Leslie, I had so many things to take care of yesterday as far as where we would be today (changed our reservations so we wouldn't have to move during the storm, you see how that turned out). We were in line at ESPN at 8 pm when I remembered we were supposed to be at All Stars! I figured by the time we did the bus thing, it would all be over. So sorry! We really did want to go!

We are feeling a little lonely here, now that everyone has gone home. We had another teeny weeny meet on Monday night, the Goose family brought us pizza, and then the Moms and the teens went to E-Night at the MK. That was great fun. In spite of Garry's reputation, these are some of the nicest people you'd want to meet. For those wondering, the teens continued their behavior from the Rose & Crown. Still thinking they'd better not sit together at dinner on the cruise!

So, did you know that it's not allowed to tap dance on the streets of the UK after fireworks?

As Leslie said, all but AK was open this morning until 1. We were at MGM too! Got some good fast last minute rides on TOT. Didn't know there was a pin though, figures. Alicia was thrilled when we were walking out at 1, there were managers with lanyards everywhere, she got about 5 lanyard pins.

OK, we might check in later. Stacey, how did that pic of yourself turn out? Actually, Adventurer's Club was a bit disappointing, seemed to be the "B" cast. So we kind of made our own fun. The Comedy Club though, was a riot. The Step dancers had me in hysterics.

I had forgotten about the tap dancing....that was funny. The picture of myself is as obnoxious as you would think.
For those of you who are wondering, after those couple of margaritas, I was intending to take a picture of a CM at the club....the camera was pointing backwards.

I was thinking at work today (yes, I do that sometimes) that the people who have met me so far must think I am a total idiot. Only when I turn into a big kid at Disney. The rest of the time I do take my job and my family quite seriously, and I like to think of myself as a fairly intellegent person. I did make #5 on the Millionaire board!

Well, Diana & your little sweetie, and Leslie, Cindy...all of you down there......I hope that you are safe and sound. We're thinking of you all, and praying.

And, unless it's not correct to ask....what actually is it that is going on with the repositioning cruise? The one where they are all dropping off? Anyone know, or should I not ask? I'm just curious if it's the port changes or what?

Hmmm - I'd like to know too.....

I think some reality is setting in about the repo cruise... cost, timing... etc.....

We seem to be in the good corner of the resort, facing North looking at the quiet pool. Not hearing much, but can see lots of rain and blowing out of the window. No lightning right now, though the lights have been flickering.

Vicki, just got your message. Thanks for worrying about us! We're fine, I just had the phone in my back pack by the door, and Alicia had to go hunt for it. They want people to stay off cell phones tonight so emergency calls can get through. Of course, my SIL just called.

So where is my DH? Not in bed yet, I wouldn't think. He's going scuba diving tomorrow though, so maybe.

You all will have to get the story out of Garry. Just let me warn you, don't tell him your cabin number on the ship. He doesn't just look like an imp, he is one. And so is his spawn.
Gregg earned his first official "the look" from a female he isn't related to. And believe me, it was earned.

The real story is,
We were visiting Diana and her D D was still sleeping 10 A M
so While talking with 2 females ( YA RIGHT ) I used the hotel phone and called there room . stange no one answered SO the second time someone did I was VERY GLAD to tell her that the family W O N a 4 day cruise on the
W O N D E R YES BUT she was not 18 and there for I had too talk too her mother DIANA so I would call back later. They had still won the cruise.
We went up stairs to one very happpy girl
well at leased for a few minutes.
I'm not sure if she was going too cry or K I L L ME, maybee both.

okay thats the story NOW just wait till we are on ship.
I'm thinking allready. so DO'NT think I did it
