Most posts on the cruise boards - I think definately. Most on the DIS? no sorry. Some of the game threads on the CB and some of the group threads there have much larger numbers.

I'm really surprised 9000 didn't go much earlier. I fully intended to log in before taking DS to scouts, but last night just didn't go the way I wanted. DH wanted to go to Staples, which ended up taking 1 1/2 hours!!!! Onward to 10k!

That cruise has/had many, many DIS regulars on it. People who are used to posting multiple times a day. In addition with all the news of the repo cruises I think a lot of people were being directed to look over there from other threads. Also some of the people on that thread do have a following that will read what they write so I think that is where many many of the views are coming from.

Personally I'm very happy with the great mix of people we have on our cruise. Can't wait to meet everyone!

It's another beautiful day in the Sunshine State of Florida. The sun is out, the sky is blue, and not a cloud in the sky. I'm having coffee by the pool and reading the newspaper.

I guess we should enjoy it while it lasts.

For example - Tagliarchy Island on the Community Board has 17,294 posts and 109,954 views! This is a thread dedicated to those who love the Tag Fairy. A very colorful thread!

Good morning everyone. A lot of posts to catch up on. It has been a very busy week here as DD does not start school until Tuesday 9/7 and DS does not start Nursery until 9/14. We have been keeping very busy with the beautiful weather on Long Island.
I am very concerned about the hurricane for all that are living and vactioning in Florida. We have a lot of family in Ft. Lauderdale in land, on the intercostal and Boynton Beach. We have close friends who live in Westin, WPB and Tampa. Our dear friends are at WDW and I hope they fly home today!!!!! We are saying a lot of prayers and pixcie dust to Florida. I feel for the people who have already been hit and they will again will be getting some of this hurricane. They can't get a break!

Today I am taking DD school shopping as this week there is no state tax here. Save a little and put it toward the children's $ to buy something on the cruise. Every little bit helps.

Mary, I received your pm. I will drop you a line.

It is not looking to good for Hershey. DH is waitting on a permit to do an extension and dormer. He was suppose to start this week but the town has not released the permit yet so this is setting the job back!!!! It is also going to be to much having the Jewish Holidays at our home and than leaving for 2 nights. Lots to prepare for. I want this job to start soon as I am concerned it will not be done by the time we cruise. I hope DH will make the MVMCP or it will be us and the in laws, oh well as long as we get on that cruise ship!!!!!!

Working all weekend at the pool club as there are a lot of activities going on this weekend. The children will be very busy.

Anyway, I must run the children want their breakfast. I will try to go into chat tonight if I get them to sleep . I have to get them back into the sleep mode for school. Have a great day everyone. Fondly, Gail

Just thought I'd pop in and say hello. Great job getting to 9000 posts. Can't believe I started this over a year ago!

Keeping my eye on Frances and seeing what's going to happen with her. Virgil, your wife's name is Frances, but so is my mom's and sister's! I could see my sister doing this type of damage.

Puppy's runny nose is better. She got one dose of that overpriced antibiotic and the next day she was symptom free! Vet told me if the medication worked, it would take a full 10 days to see complete erradication of symptoms. Soooo, my take on this is the medication was not needed. Well, I guess it beats paying for a scope.

No tax this week in NY? Man, maybe I should shop there. We've got the only Democratic Republican govenor in the country running this state. He claims to be Republican and ran on a "no new taxes" platform, but he has raised taxes on EVERYTHING during his term. I can't even get a haircut now without paying taxes! As I type this I'm trying to breathe very slowly because Taft has taxed the air we use and I"m trying to use as little as possible (sigh)

Well, must start school with the kids. KT is a bit behind in math this week and she's going to freak when I inform her we're catching up today! Wish me luck!

Btw, Buckeye's home opener is tomorrow....GO BUCKS!

Last question about the drywall (I keep saying that and then give you more questions)

If I'm going to apply a thin layer of drywall mud to my bathroom.... I use the stuff called "joint compound," right? And, what's the best way to apply that for a good finish? Large putty knife? Trowel?

I won't get to it this weekend. Heading to Cleveland with the kids so Mike can study for boards, but early next week I want to tackle it.

Well, MY favorite version of the Buckeye is made with peanut butter, powdered sugar, butter, and chocolate.

Some *other* people in this state like the local football team. Like the two crazed ppl I live with who use MY season tickets to go to the games!

Buckeyes were one of our standard Christmas "cookies" when I was younger. But it's better than "hoosier" which is what I grew up as!
