Useless fact of the day courtesy of Snapple "Real Fact" #163:

The first penny had the motto "Mind your own business".

You all are too funny!!! :yo-yo: :yo-yo: :yo-yo:

Have a great day!! Looks like I'll be really busy at work the next few weeks --- hope it doesn't interfere with my cruise planning!! We should be in pretty good shape --- all shore excursions are planned all that remains is the packing and shopping!!! :earsgirl:

There was a movie out last year (or the year before) called The Guru. We caught it on cable a couple of times. This young Indian guy is trying to make it in acting in America and becomes "The Guru" - the next big thing like Dr. Phil sort of. Anyway he's in love with this American girl and for some reason at one part in the movie he's dreaming (I think) and it is him and her and a whole chorus of Indian men and woman all in traditional garb doing "You're the one that I want" from Grease.

I guess it is funnier if you see it than me explaining it. Anyway the movie is cute as a cable flick - wouldn't have spent money to see it.

edited to add: click here for a link to the movie.

Hi Mary......after reading your post, I believed that I made an error calling you ( a woman ) a "Guru" I thought at first it only pertained to Males.

But after some research.........you indeed are still our "DIS Guru".

Read this..........

Because the guru gives mantra to a disciple and because she or he embodies the spirit and life of that mantra in an unbroken lineage to the Rishi who first perceived it, she or he is held in the utmost regard in the ******* tradition.

Have a great day.

I've sent e-mails to Teresa (tskbaskets) and Linda (seaulater) regarding early dining. That gives us 45 at early seating! Hopefully these are the last revisions. I don't want to make the dining manager crazy with requests. Maybe if there is a lot more interest it can be split up into another group like I think the late diners are doing.

Diana, LeiLani and whoever is doing the second late dining group if you want to send me the names of who is in for late dining and brunch I'll be happy to put it in the next newsletter.

Also if you have pre or post cruise plans be sure and pm me with those as we'll be doing a write-up on that for the newsletter as well. I think there was talk about a meet at MVMCP so if anyone is organizing that give me the details and I'll put that in the newsletter as well.

Will anyone be at the MVMCP on the 16th?

Our tickets are in the mail.
I heard something about a mail delay at the border.
I'll have to look into that further.........

 Okay.....who's the wise guy???

My TA just called, someone has me signed up for a cooking class on the ship!!!

You all are just plain MEAN! :p
I used to cook....rather well, thank you.....until the kids had umpteen million activities. Well, okay, until I got too lazy to do it any more....

Boy, was I ever off the mark...I called for our high number to be 12,345......
So I guess I'll have to stick around and try to nab it. All you pirate: out there....GO TO WORK!!!

The skunk smell is gone. I lit candles in every room and left the fans on. Had to use three candles in the Great Room.

Mary & Mark...I remember that movie now. Problem is, if it isn't Disney, a western, or a war movie....I don't get to see it. :(

Denise...I totally LOVED your post....it's not a joke...I've been told that some of that has really happened...I don't remember it, but that's what I'm told!

TTFN....

:hyper: Hey....guess what?? It's supposed to rain here today and tomorrow!!

I'll believe it when I see it. It's cloudy and 66 out there right now. I may freeze to death........::yes::

Why is this thing so slow today?

Patty...I just noticed where you are from...my brother just moved to Kansas City....

And Denise, I know you said this before, but where is Poway? I couldn't find it on my map.....

princess: pirate: T.O.P.?????

Here I am.....talking to myself again.

Lisa, your excursion ideas sound great.

Gus, we're doing MVMCP on the 17th.......

pirate: pirate: Paul.....FINE time for you to sneak in!!!

What, were you just sitting there waiting for that??

Watch the cooking cracks.....I'll stick one of your BIG FEET in your ear!!!!

Hey Stacey, you don't know how many of those pertain to ME. Of course it was rolled tacos not a burrito.
What do you east coasters eat at 3 in the morning? Do you have greasy taco shops?

GOOD THURSDAY MORNING EVERYONE!!!

Busy, busy, busy. I singed on this morning and had 14 pages to read again. I had to stop and get the kids off to school and then come back to reading.

Therese - thanks for the info. I had thought about the cell phone idea, because DH and I have global ones but DD's is not, so I might have to look into that for her. Mary thanks so much for the good luck wishes. We will keep our fingers crossed and see what happens. If she gets selected we won't have final dates until Feb so now all I have to do is hope it doesn't interfere with our plans to go to Hawaii.

Jenny & everyone else - the jokes are great, keep them coming. It's too funny, but the one about Vermont sure sounds a lot like Iowa.

Hey, Paul...the Banks Braves are playing some pretty good football up there. My moose of a nephew has been doing well!

Just checking in before I start working. It's about the only time I get to do it until I get home.
Stacey - I'm surprised a lady of luxury like you is up so early!

I thought maybe you were referring to ME!

I think for the east coasters, it's greasy pizza.
