Good Morning again:D

GaRry - good luck with those tests!

Tinkfan - have a safe trip.

I'm really envious of all of you getting to meet beforehand. I have been blessed to meet Vicki and GaRry!

Wow - I didn't even try for that top pirate:

Have a great day everyone - off to read the boards and then off to work!

There was a movie out last year (or the year before) called The Guru. We caught it on cable a couple of times. This young Indian guy is trying to make it in acting in America and becomes "The Guru" - the next big thing like Dr. Phil sort of. Anyway he's in love with this American girl and for some reason at one part in the movie he's dreaming (I think) and it is him and her and a whole chorus of Indian men and woman all in traditional garb doing "You're the one that I want" from Grease.

I guess it is funnier if you see it than me explaining it. Anyway the movie is cute as a cable flick - wouldn't have spent money to see it.

edited to add: click here for a link to the movie.

Thanks, I didn't get it either. I can't count the number of movies I've missed in the last 10 years or so! I'm looking forward to catching some on the cruise!

:scratchin That's what I got for using a modern movie reference..

They were playing it on the movie channels on our little dish every day it seemed at one point. Rent it for yourselves at the video store, it's worth that much, but it's definitly not for while the kids are around either.

Good Morning Everyone! I am a little late this moning - Too Many Late nights here in Boston! Go Sox!!! Like we say here in Boston - It ain't over till Big Papi Swings!!!

Glad to see everyone's doing well today! Lots of reading to catch up on. Lynda, hang in there. And I'd love to hear the Cash story.

Random thoughts on excursions. I'm going to offer options to the family this weekend to try to finalize these things.

St. Lucia, maybe riding? Looking through various web sites, there's a stable that offers a 2 hour swim with the horses for $50 pp. That's $25 less than the DCL price so I'd probably book that directly. The waterfall hike/tour thing still sounds interesting. Looking at the other tourist info for St. Lucia, it seems like their roads are primarily unimproved in the interior, so that 80 minute one way trip may only be about 20 miles. I'm just not sure how my motion sickness will feel on that type of roads for that long. Not to mention keeping the kids behaving themselves for that long!

Antigua, I found a site for the seafari (offered by DCL also) that was about $20 pp cheaper than through DCL, and they will pick you up at the dock. You take inflatable boats and do some snorkling, swimming, and exploring. It sounds like it's a little less intense than the Eli's Eco Tour (and about 1/2 the price). There was also some info on windsurfing, but boy is it pricey!

St. Martin, I'm leaning toward the Shipwreck Cove Snorkling with DCL. It's only $39 pp, which doesn't sound that bad for what you get. And isn't that the island where you have to pay for a water taxi? So any non-DCL excursion needs $5 added to their price to cover the water taxi?

St. Thomas, I think we'll stick with our original plans of Coral World. I'm pretty certain they'll be open Christmas Day. I'll just book via their website since it's cheaper than DCL.

So what do you guys think? Of course, I'll need to run the numbers into the budget. I'm planning on the savings from the smaller rental cars and less hotel rooms for paying for excursions. I had the money budgeted anyway. The money for the in-laws cruise will go to buy furniture for the new house (which will make DH happy!)

Signing off for now, but I'll check back through the day to see how you all are doing!

Lisa - Mark & I will be on the Shipwreck Cove Snorkling tour with DCL as well Ken and his family. Come join us!

As for Coral World - yes they will be open. Mark and I have Sea Trekkin scheduled for 11 am there.

I've sent e-mails to Teresa (tskbaskets) and Linda (seaulater) regarding early dining. That gives us 45 at early seating! Hopefully these are the last revisions. I don't want to make the dining manager crazy with requests. Maybe if there is a lot more interest it can be split up into another group like I think the late diners are doing.

Diana, LeiLani and whoever is doing the second late dining group if you want to send me the names of who is in for late dining and brunch I'll be happy to put it in the next newsletter.

Also if you have pre or post cruise plans be sure and pm me with those as we'll be doing a write-up on that for the newsletter as well. I think there was talk about a meet at MVMCP so if anyone is organizing that give me the details and I'll put that in the newsletter as well.

Red Jenny, even the 2 year old was laughing at your jokes. Mom was laughing so hard I couldn't see. Actually I walked into a coffee house one day and saw a police officer eating a bagel, smart *** me had to say "hey that's not a doughnut" . DH just shook his head and acted like he didn't know me. Cheers to you RJF

Virgil - please don't come to NH. If you come here, we'll get snow and we don't want that (definately not until Thanksgiving - I can dream can't I?).:sunny:

Here's some info for the cruise ladies...

1. I have absolutely no idea where my purse is.
2. I believe that dancing with my arms overhead and wiggling my butt while yelling WOOHOO is truly the sexiest dance move around.
3. I've suddenly decided I want to kick someone's *** and honestly believe I could do it too.
4. In my last trip to "pee" I realize I now look more like Tammy Faye Baker than the goddess I was just four hours ago.
5. I drop my 3:00 a.m. burrito on the floor (which I'm eating even though I'm not the least bit hungry), pick it up and carry on eating it.
6. I start crying and telling everyone I see that I love them sooooo much.
7. There are less than three hours before I'm due to start work.
8. I've found a deeper/spiritual side to the geek sitting next to me.
9. The man I'm flirting with used to be my 5th grade teacher!
10. The urge to take off articles of clothing, stand on a table and sing or dance becomes strangely overwhelming.
11. My eyes just don't seem to want to stay open on their own so I keep them half closed and think it looks exotically sexy.
12. I've suddenly taken up smoking and become really good at it.
13. I yell at the bartender, who (I think) cheated me by giving me just lemonade, but that's just because I can no longer taste the gin.
14. I think I'm in bed, but my pillow feels strangely like the kitchen floor.
15. I start every conversation with a booming, "DON'T take this the WRONG WAY but..."
16. I fail to notice that the toilet lid's down when I sit on it.
17. My hugs begin to resemble wrestling takedown moves.
18. I'm tired so I just sit on the floor (wherever I happen to be standing) and take a quick nap.
19. I begin leaving the buttons open on my button fly pants to cut down on the time I'm in the bathroom away from my drink.
20. I take my shoes off because I believe it's their fault that I'm having problems walking straight.
21. I start believing that everyone in the room wants to see my ****s.

:wave2: Denise

Dang, missed..... Arrrr!
