The Scuba Diving Pre-Meet went very well yesterday. The two families spent the day together at EPCOT. We all did Mission to Mars, it was great! There are games after the ride and we all played one of them several times. It was a lot of fun being a part of "Mission Control" while the kids (Matt, Alicia & Lisa) were "Astronauts".
Kevin, Jim, Matt & Alicia did the Dive Quest at EPCOT's Living Seas. Diana, Lisa & I watch and tried to take pictures of the divers in the tank. There were 9 Divers and their dive was about 45-50 minutes long. All of the equipment was provided. They looked like they all had fun. Both families ordered the video that was taken while they were underwater. It should be fun to see when it arrives here in a few weeks. All of the divers had fun "playing" with the kids who were watching them at the windows. Alicia spent quite a bit of time doing this. You can see the Divers both from inside the Living Seas and from it's restaurant. Each of Divers received a T-Shirt at the end of the experience.
Afterwards, we ate in France. We had a wonderful meal and it was fun to spend time together.

:sunny: Good Morning!! 77 outside already...in for another hot one...should be cooler by Thanksgiving! I'm trying to look at the bright side: I'll still have a tan at Christmas!

Matt.....stay safe, now you know why I left the midwest....a choice you will probably make after graduation, too!

Mary.....NEVER mad....that's some of the only fun in my life, the pirate: things!!! I thought it was funny, I was really trying so hard....administrator's "60 second rule" slowed me down!!!

scubamom: What a great time that must have been for everyone. Thanks for a really good report....
We saw divers in there the last time we dined there, and it looked like so much fun!

Angie....do you have a David's Bridal nearby? They have some great sales on their bridesmaid and mother of the bride dresses, and they have a lot of "separates"....which is great for me, since I am one size on the top half, and another on the bottom half.
In fact, a lot of Bridal stores have evening wear on sale all the time....something I had never thought of until DD's wedding.

Back in a few....getting more like GaRry....need coffee!

I'm still here....got another java jolt.

I should start something, I think I feel a little brain function today.
Can't start laundry, the kids are still asleep, and their baskets are in their rooms......darn.

I had to play plumber last night at 11:30 or so. Jordan clogged and overflowed the toidy......I taught her where to find the shut-off valve.
She just kills me....I was reading, and she just wanders up, and says "Mom? .......(major pause)........I think there's a problem."
Our toilets are in separate rooms from the bathrooms (water closets). The water had already filled the water closet, and half the bathroom......no rush, Jordan...

Then, Master Jared had finally decided to quit scoffing at the Tooth Fairy, so she went in to make her appearance. The little punk had put his tooth on his windowsill......which meant the Tooth Fairy had to "fly" over his bed, past a mound of junk, over a sleeping boy, just to retrieve said tooth and leave some money.
When he wakes up, he may not have any more teeth left in his mouth, because the Tooth Fairy may just knock them all out!

(BAD Tooth Fairy)

:hyper: ::yes:: Gee, haven't you guys missed me, and all my dumb stories????:teeth:

The little "punk" has grown another inch. At this rate, I may have to buy his cruise clothing one day at a time, on the ship......

Actually, seriously, how am I supposed to deal with this? He's my only boy, the girls didn't grow tall that fast. Who am I kidding...the girls didn't grow tall at all!
The hard part is that he's so skinny....I can't buy a size bigger pants, they'd fall off..... Moms of boys...help??!!

Kids are up finally...guess I'd better get busy...

Have a great day, everyone!

Stacey

Happy Sunday Everyone!!

We just returned from our final game in this weekends soccer tournament. This morning was a big dissappointment. We needed to win to go to the finals and lost 2-1. The sad thing is that our boys played one of their best games all season. Oh well.

Stacey- I can totally relate to the boy thing. Jason is so skinny I have a terrible time buying pants for him. I have had a little luck with the slims at JC Penny. I am waiting until closer to the cruise to buy him any dress pants and we are renting him a tux just because that is easier than trying to get something to fit him.

We just changed our post cruise WDW stay from the Poly concierge to the Contemporary 14th floor. Anybody stayed here before??? We have done the Poly before and wanted to try something new. I have heard there are so few rooms up there that it is very exclusive. We don't plan running the parks too much, just chilling a little after the cruise.

I now officially have a teenager. Please pray for me!!

Have a great day everyone!

Wish I knew. Mine is only 7 1/2 but it's hard to find him pants. Today he wore a pair to church that were the right length, but too big in the middle. He had to keep yanking them up. Usually I have to find the ones with the integrated elastic belt thingy.

Sorry if I'm not making sense. Today woke up, took care of the dog, started to get a migrane...to thank me for taking care of her, the dog puked all over! Cleaned that up (with blurred vision!) and got the kids ready for church. They went to church with dad while I walked the dog 4 miles around the lake next to the church. Had to take the dog b/c then we went to a Flat Coat Retriever/Golden Retriever field trial. Saw Maggie's brother and sister and the breeder there. Kinda boring. Someone shoots in the air, someone else tosses a dead duck in the water and you watch the dog swim. Then 10 minutes later another dog does it. Not something I think we'll get Maggie into.
So it's off to nurse my headache. :)

Was going to say, just buy pants long and get them hemmed up. Can always let the hem down as he grows. :)

Why didn't I think of that???? I guess we needed a man's point of view!

I don't know what has been wrong with my brain lately....

Ohminnie....sorry you don't feel well. I am soooo glad that I don't (knock on wood) get migraines. I wouldn't be able to handle that kind of pain.

Tina...sorry for being stupid....what did I miss about a teenager??
Did Kristen have a birthday that wasn't on the newsletter?

pirate: princess: T.O.P. ????

Or did our newest pirate: Mark beat me to it???

YEE-HAW!!! Oh, how little it takes to make me happy!

We had (have) that trouble with Matt's pants. He has grown so much in the last year or so, but his weight hasn't kept up. We found that most stores did not carry pants long enough with a small enough waist. So, we were finally advised to go on line. We were able to find him pants at GAP.com. I don't know how they are for boys clothes as we were trying to fit a teenager. He still has to use a belt most of the time to make the waist fit closer to his size.

As if my head wasn't spinning enough. My mom called. We're adding a member to our family. My neice (she's almost 22) moved away from Ohio about 9 months ago. She moved to NC to move in with her best friend (they've been best friends since 1st grade) and her best friend's fiancee. We'll, apprarently, after bf and bf's-f got married, things got weird with Mary living there --third wheel sort of thing. They both got very snotty about making Mary pay 1/3 of ALL food, even if it was stuff she didn't like. She works at Chuck E. Cheese and ate there most of the time, so was paying 1/3 for food she never touched.

Anyway...long story short. She ended up moving out of that apartment and in with her manager (who never LIVED in her apartment, she lived at her boyfriend's house, but had to have her own physical address to please the parents)

So now, Mary is pregnant. The father is someone she hasn't known very long (I told my mom it only takes a few minutes!) and who is currently stationed in Iraq.

I wanted to be overjoyed when Mary got pregnant, but now my head is just whirling around knowing how hard it is to raise a baby and how that will be compounded because she is single, the father is overseas and she doesn't even have a *real* place to live.

Mary's mom has suggested Mary move home. Mary refused. She wants to be so grown up and independent. She has NOOOO idea what's in store.

Thanks for listening to me babble. Just trying to sort it all out.

Mark-The problem is not the length, its the waist. If we buy big , they won't stay up!

Stacey- Yes, today is Kristen's birthday. I never got the info to Mary, that's why it wasn't in the newsletter.

Anybody else ever rented their kids a tux onboard?? I know that there is usually no problem with the men sizes. I wonder about the kids??
