Happy Monday all! Crazy scout weekend here, but it's over successfully. DD finished all her work for the bronze award (Girl Scouts), all that's left is editing the videotape (a Mom job!).
Stacey, in answer to your question, I want to be the bird lady in the Lion King show at Animal Kingdom. Not that I have ANY talent in that direction, but since you didn't say we had to be QUALIFIED for it, just what we'd like to do, that's my job! If I can't have that one, I want to be one of the singers in the show. I'd just need a tiny bit of help with my voice, but I know I've got the emotion and the gestures all down pat!
Gail, Don't let them pressure you into something that's too much with those brownies. It surely seems like the people who tell you that you can do it are the ones who've never DONE IT themselves, so they don't have a clue how much work it is. 15 2nd graders is enough all by themselves! Our troops have all been multiple ages, so I know that can work. It just takes a lot of help and support from the parents. They have to understand that you're going to structure the program somewhere in the middle of the girls' abilities, so some things may be too hard for their baby, or too easy for their older prodigy. If mixing the ages will get you help from a good adult, I'd say go for it, but limit the number of girls to something reasonable. I personally think 15 is as much as you should try to handle. Most of our troops locally are 10 or less. The one I was in as a girl had about 25 girls though, and we did have a blast. I can't imagine how the leader did it!
Minnie, if you still need an answer on prices, pm me. I can tell you how much we paid for the in-laws cat 10, and you can guess it downward from there.
Jeanette, welcome to the party! Can't wait to get more details! GaRry is keeping a cruise list, and I think Gail is taking names for a group Palo brunch. GaRry is also putting together a shirt order. Mark and Mary do a very nice monthly newsletter and photo gallery on their web page.
Well, enough babbling for this morning, but can't sign off without saying WELCOME BACK Lynda and Cash! Loved the wading pool story!
