Yes I changed it today, or was it last night, not sure.
I went down yesterday and gave them a new date since they couldn't give me one. I have already told them that everyhting better be right or they are going to have to rip it out and correct it.
The good thing in all this, is that the base price of the house has gone up $37,000. since we signed our contract and the options have had 2 increases. When we go to settlement, I want to get a current price list to see what the price would be at that time. I can honestly say it is a very good investment.

You're not alone, Virgil! At least for the moment. We just got home from Jared's game, and it's 11:00!!
They went in to extra innings before one of our guys hit an amazing home run, with one man on. Jared's team (the Diamondbacks, of course) won the league championship. They go on to the Tournament of Champions. Bad news.....just when I thought it was over.......they will practice every night before the tournament. Luckily, they aren't starting until after we have returned from DL.

Anyway, it's late, and I'm beat. Soooo.........

Morning everyone. Stacey, congrats to your son! That's awesome!

Leslie, Stace, and Mark/Mary, good luck and safe traveling on our journeys.

Barb, good news about the investment, bad news about the delay. I guess housing is that way here too. We've been in the same one since 2000, and according to our neighbor, it's probably gone up in value nearly $100,000 in that time Of course, if we tried to sell to get that value out, we'd just be paying the same ridiculously inflated prices for someplace else to live, so I'll just stay where we are thank you very much! I do have a guy working for me who moved here last June, and is now moving to California who cleared $40k on their house... in less than a year!!

Oh yeah, school. We may be the latest ones. Last day here is the 16th of June. The get out two hours early the last two days. We start the last full week of August. I'm not sure why our school year is so long, but someone said our class days are shorter?

Good Morning!

I am up earlier than usual.....DH had to go to work early, so I am taking DD to school, then back to take DS. This is their last day of school. In years past, they had a half day on Thursday and a half on Friday. Guess our complaining paid off. The parents always wanted to know why they didn't just do a full day on Thursday and be done with it, and now they are.
Last day for us at the Elementary school. I've had a kid in that school since 1991. There was a small lapse for a couple of years between Megan and Jordan, but almost a solid 13 years. Am I sad? NOPE!
Lisa, that is a long school year! What are their hours?
I could never home-school. I have no self-discipline (now there's a big surprise!) so there's no way I could get the kids to settle in and learn anything. I wish I could, it would make vacationing easier! (Not exactly the right reason to home school)

GaRry....that's a big feed bill.......can't you make money on it when it comes back out? Fertilizer or something??

Morning all! Another day in the working world.

Mary I am so jealous you are going to the world, I am trying to figure out how I can sneak in a trip between now and Christmas. I'm trying to find some "work" seminar I can attend in Orlando, and dang, I would just have to add a day or two to get my fix in.

Okay, work to do, (and trying to find a seminar)....got to go to DD school to see her in the play at 10 a.m. as the jester. Found the costume, of course, it cost me an arm and a leg. I should start my own costume company since I have so many that we have used once!

Thankfully, the cicada invasion appears to be slowing! It poured here last night, don't know if that helps drown them out or not!

Good morning everyone

LOL... sure WISH I had a horse trailer for the dogs! It will be 1550 miles of trying to keep them off my lap as well... and DH's lap. We sort of built a barrier between the seats in the van.. but I don't think it's going to hold them back! In any case we'll have hot doggy breath on the backs of our necks I'm sure!

gaRry... thanks for the tips.. told DH and he was shaking his head in agreement. He's done this trip before a few times... I was lucky enough to get out of it...

Mary: Safe journeys! Will you still be there when we get back to WDW on the 26th? Would love to meet up to say hi if you are.

Leslie-at least I find that our golden behaves better than the DD. At least he minds and goes and pouts in the corner and I don't have to hear about it for hours!!!!

School hours here.

Middle school, doors open to students at 7:50, bell rings at 8:00. Bus dismissal is 2:45, car riders at 2:55.

Elementary school, car riders dropped off beginning at 8:30, pick up at 3:15.

Charlotte, we have had quite the rain lately, huh? Making up for those drought years.

Your school hours are closer together than my kids' were. There was more than an hour between. Not enough time to go to the store, but too long to sit and wait after picking up the first one.
Soooo glad today is the last "split" bus run.
Next year, I'm making them both walk home from the bus stop.
Since we're out in the sticks, it's a really long walk....and through the creek, so I wouldn't let them do it alone.
Speaking of which, time to make the final run of the year!

I had just taken a look here, and saw that we were headed for the basement!
We need all the other cruisers back!!!!

Linda.....I went to Mary's site to look at your picture....DD Jamie is a doll!!! I figured out which one she was fairly easily.....but all the other gals look to be the same age......(except the babies)

I'll have to update the picture before we go since it is a year and a half old!!!!

Linda, that's quite a group! When we went for DD Megan's wedding, they did our pictures separately. I wish we'd had a group shot.

Diana, I have two friends joining us in Las Vegas, with their two daughters. The girls are so excited, they've never ridden in a limo, and Jordan & Amber have never been to Las Vegas. My friends, Sharon and Kathy, are sisters, Sharon's daughter is Kaylah, Kathy's is Amber. They're going on their first Disney cruise on June 6th, after several days at WDW. I think the girls are more excited about Las Vegas! I think that's just because they've waited so long for their cruise, that it doesn't seem real anymore. I know that feeling!!!

I guess I have to start packing tomorrow. Molly is going to her favorite pet resort, and we still have a couple more rehearsals for the dance recital.....BUT NO SCHOOL!!!!! Yea! For once, the kids will be home to help with the packing.

Well, off to dance .....will be back later to see if I have any cruisers to chat with.

I was wondering about the move, and how you were doing. Glad to hear from you! Keep in touch!!

Diana, I get limo service to and from the airport. Probably could get it anywhere I want to go, but I've only done that once. I've discovered that by the time you give them a decent tip, you might as well have taken a taxi! Kaylah & Amber are Jared's age, younger than our DD's, but they're nice girls. It'll be fun taking them to see everything.
I can't wait to see Jordan's face when we stand on the walkway over the strip, looking down at all the lights.
You know us small-town westerners....we're pretty impressed with all them-there big city lights, right gaRry??

LeiLani, are you still with us?

Doc, did they give you a night off? Or, should I say, did you give yourself a night off?
