Hi, Paul. Good to be back....even if it is only for four more....(oops, forgot, I wasn't going to mention it again!)

Leslie....DH gave the "lap top on vacation" idea the heave-ho tonight. GC does have connections in the rooms....I looked it up. So I thought "Great!", and even though DH said "It's your money", he went on to tell me all the reasons why he thought it wouldn't be any fun to sit and watch me typing away like he does "every night of the year at home". I think I got the hint. Oh well.

I got my new Disney Magazine in the mail. It has lists of favorites at all the parks. Seems people really like the Mickey ice cream bars. Am I the only weirdo who's never had one? Tell me what I'm missing.

Mary... thanks for the heads up. Yes, we are driving.. loons that we are! And I HATE to drive in rain...
Somehow the thought of 1550 miles with 4 dogs is starting to make me think we really must be nuts. The only consolation is that on the way back we will stop at the Mouse House (what we call our Orlando home...) for 5 days to recuperate. Needless to say I'm looking forward to the trip back more...LOL

Okay... back to laundry and packing.. the fun never stops.

Morning all. That's funny about Jordan's spirit week. DH noticed because DD wanted to borrow his hat. He was okay with it until she said that they were all going to sign it. Then it was no WAY!! Luckily I found her Hogwarts one. She started out with really crazy hair this morning, but halfway to daycare, realized that she had left her purse. After negotiations, I took her home to get it (she has to empty the dishwasher and put them away 2 times, without credit and do her homework without complaining the rest of the week!) and she changed the style. It's now just a pony tail with barettes and hair clips all over her head.

Lynda, good to hear from you and Cash. Looking forward to full details!!

We've been getting the classic evening thundershowers around here, but overall the weather's been nice. It's gray today though.

Morning all! Just imagine, Cash taking a healthy chomp out of one of the Country Bears. Bet that WDW cop would have had quite a write up on that one!

Today I have to go buy a jester costume. Hope I can find one. Of course, DD tells me last night that she needs by the time she is in the play...........................TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, even if I would have known, I probably would have been recklessly looking all over town tonight anyway. We have a couple of costume shops and she informed me that the one gives the school a discount. Of course they do.......they know all us suckers as parents give in and pay $$$$ for these things.

So we've got dance, dance, play tomorrow, dance tomorrow night, all kids/grandkids here Friday (all 13 of us! cruisers), dance Friday night, dinner out Friday night, oh well, there goes the rest of this week. The only bright spot is it will be one week closer to our cruise!

Okay, got work and meeting with my CEO.

Jordan said she had a final in Science yesterday, Jared said they watched a movie for the 2nd day in a row. Why are they even there, if all they're going to do is watch movies??

Lisa.....you are way too good a mom. I'm the MEAN MOM....with me, there is no turning back! Don't tell Jordan, she'll want to live with you!
But Linda....I would be doing the same thing as you...running all over town. I'm tired just thinking about it!

Virgil...believe it or not, after Disneyland, we're done for a while. Unless I get "guilted" into going to Omaha to visit my family, but that doesn't count, that's not a vacation. Trust me.

Wow, Leslie, that's some drive! I hate the drive to the grocery store! I think I'd need 2 weeks at WDW after all that. But have fun, anyway!

Off to earn some money. Back later to do laundry and think about packing.

Stacey, don't you mean you're done until JULY? Or does Vegas not count anymore? I guess if it were in my back yard, I wouldn't count it either.

Last week of school here too, but no crazy outfits that I know of. Other than the usual everyday stuff when DD is being creative. She has two finals today, and shouldn't have any homework (turning in her Math book today), so when I pick her up, we're heading to the movie theatre to see Shrek 2! I hope we can get in, and I sure hope I'm right about the homework. Dad isn't going, but that gives us an excuse to go see it again.

Last year at this time we were heading to WDW for TWO weeks! I wanna go now! It's pretty nice this time of year, before the really big crowds hit. Have to stick around for dance recital on the 29th though. DD is in 7 numbers, they might miss her.

Gail, glad to hear things went OK. Praying that the news is good.

Still 3 more weeks of school left here - UGH!!!
Wish I was planning a trip to WDW sooner than I am. I may be going in 3 weeks, but I won't know until the last minute.

I changed our settlement date until the end of August. If the rain keeps up like it is I don't know if we will make that date either.

Diana....I guess for a second there I did forget about July. Sorry.

So I'm at least not going anywhere for the whole entire month of June. I wonder if I'm breaking a streak. I didn't go anywhere last August.

Off to tackle more laundry.

Jared's grade went ice skating today. I have no idea why they bothered having school, except for the government funding.

Have fun at Shrek2, those of you who are going. Maybe it will be playing at Downtown Disney.

who knows how long for us. we homeschool so it varies! nick has been done with history for months now. and he's done with science too. he's just got some math, phonics and language arts left--should finish with everything mid-june.
kt is done with grammar, usage and mechanics and nearly done with math, science and history. she's behind in literature and spelling, so we might be taking 20 minutes a day into july to finish those things up.
of course, we just took 2 1/2 weeks off for disney and dcl, so they'd better not be complaining!

Mary: I have no idea what route we're taking... LOL I just drive where DH tells me to when it's my turn! I imagine we will go up the FL turnpike to I-75... then thru GA, TN, KY, IL and WI. DH has maps, triptiks etc and has done this before with DD a few years back. I only drive the straight highway parts... preferably in the middle of the night when there is no other traffic!!
We are leaving around 10 pm tomorrow night and driving straight thru... well, as straight as we can with potty breaks for the dogs.
If you see two nuts at a rest stop with 4 Golden Retreivers... then you'll know it's us!!

Leslie-we have a golden retriever also, we named him Sebastian (of course, after The Little Mermaid). He is a blond golden, and now is about 10 years old. He is the best dog.

Leslie - sounds like we'll be on the same roads in opposite directions.

We leave Friday around 1 pm and will stop for the night in KY. DH does most of the driving and I navigate I won't drive at night but i will drive the straight road during the day.
