Good morning all... :wizard:
Just checking in so that I don't have 15 pages to catch up on tonight. DH is off to Orlando today to check on the construction/interior progress, but I have to stay here with the doggies this time. Pretty tough to get someone to babysit 4 exhuberant Goldens!! Can't wait till we can get into our own place up there!!! We're calling it our expensive dog kennel...LOL

Gail: Don't worry... I have no problem with last minute plans... let me know when you can. I may have to go up to Orlando Wed night now since we heard this AM that our walk thru is tentatively scheduled for 8am 4/8. I'm SO excited!!! We won't leave until after 4pm though so the day hours will still be free on 4/7.

Lynda: Glad to hear that Cash is outfitted with the latest in Disney attire... can't wait to meet him! And you too of course!!

Mary: Finally found a pic to scan for you... which format is best for you?

Okay all... have a wonderful day... gotta go vac the pool and start organizing my pins for the April trip to the Flower/Garden Fest. I'll check in later.

Just checking in. When I took DS to school, our creek was already running about 32 feet across, and running hard, so I didn't take him in. I went and pulled Jordan out of school, so now we're all here. I already regret my decision. Only home an hour, and they've been banished to their bedrooms for fighting.
The first day home (supposedly alone) in a long time, and I have to listen to that?? No way.
Diva.....trade ya two kids for four Goldens!

I went to school with the owner of Oriental Trading...but it doesn't get me any discounts :( Sorry.

STOP talking about Hershey Park......there's a bag of Kisses* in the drawer that keep calling my name....and I have GOT to lose weight!

Guess I'll tackle the pile of ironing. Will come back when I need to sit down for a few.

Stacey

Oh well, at least I got a T.O.P. thanks to the little beasts.:D

Ahhhh Stacey - here's a

Rain, Rain, Go Away
Bring the Sun so the kids can play (outdoors).

Hope that helps!:umbrella: :sunny: :umbrella: :sunny: :umbrella: :sunny:

:teeth: That was very good, Mary. You're a poet. Thank you, I'm digging out the ear plugs.
I was hoping I had a response on my "classified ad"!

I was just on the Disneyland site, wanting to book for June 2005 so that we can be prepared "just in case" the Magic does magically appear in CA. Can't book online for any date after January 2005. Going to call them & see if I can book that way.

Not getting much ironing done.

Stacey-let me know if you have any luck on the California side. I keep trying, but they are releasing any answers. I want to go on the repositioning cruise through the PC if they move the ship!
Did it last year on Royal Carribean and it was wonderful. 17 days! Could you imagine that on a Disney ship? HEAVEN!!!!! (and there wouldn't be as many kids on that long a cruise). We only had 13 kids on our cruise (that included DD-11 last year when we went.)

Okay, back to work!

Linda

Helloooooo :wizard:

Stacey: LOL... been there done that... the Goldens are easier!! :o) Of course sometimes they torment each other and drive me crazy too.... and my house always smells like wet dog since I can't keep them out of the pool!!

Mary... I will get the photo to you in .jpg sometime today.

I used to live in PA and have been to Hershey several times... just breathing the air there can put 5lbs on me...LOL Haven't been there in years but I've heard the Hershey hotel has a chocolate spa treatment..... what heaven.

Just found a delightful formal dress on sale this week and I'm saving it for the cruise. Does anyone think we'll have an extra formal night since it's 10 nights?? This one I'll have to wear early in the cruise before the weight gain starts...LOL

Ineeley... I think you (or someone in your group) might be next door to us?? We're in 6139

Are there any older "just couples" going... with no kids? Our kids are 27 & 24 and think their parents are crazy Disney freaks...LOL
Just wondering......

Okay...that's it for now.... back to the pins......

Leslie- we are in 6107, 6087, 6111 and 6105. My stepson and wife were in 6141 but someone cancelled in 6087 so we moved them a little closer to us. But we are right down the hall from each other!

Glad someone else is on deck 6!!!!!

Linda

Afternoon all,

Was just thinking about the questions someone had some pages back (I can not keep up with u guys/gals) about "tips" for first time DCL cruisers.

I don't if anyone mentioned this on the last 20-30 pages, but that Jennifer and Dave from the Passporter team are coming out with the second edition of their DCL Passporter book.

I can honestly say that I probably memorized that book before we sailed our first time on the Magic. Between that book, and "The DIS" we were definitely prepared!

Here is the link if anyone is interested in more information on it.

TGIF !!!!!! TTFN !!

I already bought one formal dress, too! Don't know how it will fit by Christmas.....hopefully too big, I have a great seamstress.

As I was ironing DH's shirts I was wondering about formal nights, too.....anyone who's been on the 7-night...if you're scheduled for PC on a formal night, how much fun could that be?
Or what about "Tropical" night? What if you're supposed to be at Lumiere's? Should we just plan on, say, two "formal" nights, 4 nights with ties for the men, and 4 casual/tropical?
No wonder I'm a nut case.....worrying this far ahead.

One of the shirts I was ironing was the one DH wore to DD's wedding.....almost 7 months ago! I hate ironing. But, in my own defense, it was a summer shirt, and lavender....so I didn't figure he'd wear it again any time soon!

Linda, I called Disney and the CM said that usually the summer dates don't come up until October, but that they were going to open them at the end of April due to the 50th Anniversary Celebration. I'm thinking of doing a back-up booking at an off-site hotel just in case. But they may also only book 1 year ahead.
I was thinking (and I could be way off base) that if I book us for Disneyland for a Wed, Thurs, Fri in mid-June.....and the ship is there....it would probably sail on Saturday. Call me kookie, but that's my plan.

Diva.....we are bringing the younger kids (they're our excuse), but we also have our married 22 yr old & her 24 yr old hubby. (They aren't coming)....in other words, I'm definitely not a "young" mom. The 1st DD was from my 1st marriage.....and even tho DH and I married when she was five, it took us 3 more years to get DD #2. And 3 years later, DS came along. I am WAY too old to be doing this again! But kinda like with kittens and puppies, they're so cute when they're little....you just don't think about them being older and a pain in the neck at the time!:p

Hi David! I pre-ordered my new Passporter yesterday! I loaned the ol one to friends who will be 1st time cruisers in June....and I can't wait to see the new, updated version!

ONLY NINE MORE POSTS TO GO TO 4444.

Linda...are you watching?

Was that an "official" claim for 4444, or can anyone pirate: it?

Hi everone. Happy Friday afternoon.
I am so aggravated with AA that I have to vent. We were totally inconvenienced in January at Miami International Airport. We missed our flight due to AA scheduling issues on our connection from the Caymans with the children and at the airport for 8 hours. they told there were no flights till the next evening or in two days and that they could fly us out of WPB the next evening. We took that flight stayed at the IL'S and rented a car. We were told by an AA superviosr who's name we have that she was approving us to be reimbursed for our car rental and dinner or we could stay in Miami in a hotel that they would pay for and transportation to the airport the next day. We took the car rental and stayed at the IL'S. with the dinner. The supervisor put in DH record locator # all this information. We were promised that we would receive a check and vouchers for our inconvenience. WELL they gave us 4 vouchers $75.00 each and no check for the car rental or dinner which totaled about $171.00. How can they go back on their word when there Operating Supervisor approved this???????????? Well I just gave them a piece of my mind in a return e mail. It is the principal. Not very good customer relations as far as I am concerned. I asked for this to be reviewed again by a Manager in Customer Relations. We shall see what happens.
I could understand if this was our fault but this situation was all AA's.

Know I feel much better. Thanks everyone for letting me vent.

Leslie, Thanks for being so understanding. I will let you know what is going on soon. I do not want you to feel pressured with having to go to Orlando. How exciting!!!

Hershey Park here we come. Yeah. I am going to Surprise the children and tell them we are taking a road trip and not tell them where we are going till we pull up. We LOVE the Hershey Lodge. I hope we can get reservations there. I will list the best dates for us in the next post.

Mary and Linda I would be so PSYCHED if you could make it!!!!!!!!!!
Fondly, Gail

:earsgirl:

Gail,

Deep Breathes! Deep Breathes !!

Now try a bottle of Red Wine (with cork of course)

Much Better !!

You are doing great!

Now a Valium and everything will be fine ..........

LOL

- David

Gail,
My friend was recently bumped from an America West flight, and given a voucher for a free round-trip. She got a later flight, so she thought the voucher would be great.
She spent two hours in line at the airport yesterday, because that's the only way they would let her use the voucher....to go to the airport and book a flight! Wouldn't you think there would be a referral number or something, so that you could at least call??
I'll vent right there with you!
Now I know that I'll never give up my seat, no matter how tempting the offer is. But she wasn't given a choice. I guess they went by whoever booked last...and she had just booked, since it was a last-minute, work-related flight.
