and booked the trip, which consisted of THREE, count'em, THREE (back-to-back) of those "If it's Tuesday, it must be Belgium" bus tours...A week in Paris, a three-week grand tour of Europe, and a week in the Netherlands....On the way home from the Netherlands I was FINALLY able to drop by Disneyland Paris and see the European version of my favorite place to go....Yep, European. Very odd. Stayed at the Sequoia, the Paris version of the Wilderness Lodge....It was reconstructed after the fire just before I was there but it looked beautiful, fully landscaped and totally beautiful.
What a birthday present to me.

Lynda, congrats on 3500, the pirate: was very nice tonight.
I wish I could take off and run away for a month :hyper: . Don't think DH and DD would think too much of it though :earseek:

And this year three trips to WDW and two cruises. There must be ANOTHER big birthday in the air......

What did you think of D'land Paris? We aren't too thrilled with it - been there twice. They need to add more attractions to the Studios to make it worth the money.

Wow I go to read the boards and you guys breezed right past 3500 - good job! I think we'll be at 4000 long before the 4th month starts.::yes::

Oh, I almost forgot. I booked Sea Trekkin' at Coral World today. They will be open on Christmas Day. Yeah! I was glad I e-mail when I did because they only had openings for Sea Trekkin' at 11:00 a.m., 2:30, 3:00, and 3:30 p.m. openings. We booked the 11 am as I don't think any of the others would have gotten us back to the ship in time.

So for those of you looking for something to do in St. Thomas consider gong to Coral World.

I thought it was just European enough to make it interesting. When I went there was no MGM...just a Magic Kingdom. The Space Mountain ride was a WOW!!...Only time I've ever been on a loop the loop roller coaster and I did it all with eyes squinched so tight I think I added a few facial crevasses just from that ride alone...I talked to several CMs there and some US residents as well. It was ok. I haven't been back and I doubt I'll go to the one in Tokyo. I'm not through soaking up the Disney offerings here...
As I get older I'm finding the rides less and less comfortable so I expect that this will be my last year for the parks with serious rides and more time in the resorts and on cruises...
It's too difficult to do rides with Cash along, too, since I travel alone.

Just a quick hello....I finished our taxes and am still working on my father-in-law's. He has a lot of stuff this year. Wish I'd gotten his out of the way first.

There was just a Sheriff's helicopter flying all around the desert out here with its search light on. Saw a few cars head out that way. Decided it was best to go inside and lock the door. Don't know what/who they're looking for. That's pretty big excitement for us way-out-westerners! It's usually dead quiet out here.

Well, back to the old grind, I guess. If I get done before midnight, I'll check in. The doc sent me some new cough medicine...it'll probably knock me out. As long as it finally knocks out this cold, then that'll be fine with me.

Okay..I'm off. Talk to myself later!
:p

So for those of you looking for something to do in St. Thomas consider going to Coral World.

Any website for them, or is it referenced in the newsletter?

I'm off to bed early tonight - well...early for me. My brain is tired from looking up airfares and car rentals for August. We are trying to decide to fly or drive then. Airfare is very reasonable, but the car rates are outrageous. I guess when we find out our refund (sorry to all those that don't know that word :) ) we will decide what we are going to do.

G'night all :wave2:

Hi Guys,
I have been busy at school and doing other things lately. Sorry I have not been checking in. Hope everyone is doing well. I really am having trouble with that list. I am going to keep working on it but I have not updated it in a week.
Matt

I'M DONE!!!!!!!! :bounce: :bounce:

And it's a good doggone thing that the cruise is already paid for, or I wouldn't be getting to meet all of you!!:(
Holy Cow are we going to owe..big time:earseek:
Guess what GaRry?? You can leave off the $$ and the TRO. Nothing left to share. I may be sneaking in to share kibble with Cash. :p

And it also figures that it's so late that everyone has gone to bed.

Just had to share how good it feels to have that particular weight off my shoulders :hyper:

So...will talk to you all tomorrow, and:

SPECTACULAR HIP HIP HOORAY IT'S FRIDAY MORNING TO ALL OF OUR EASTS AND MIDS!!

Good night (morning)
Stacey :sunny:

Good Morning!!!

Happy Friday everyone! So glad the weekend is almost here!

Tomorrow the Magic sails again and we are one week closer to our sailaway!

Sorry Lynda - had to go back and find where you asked for that. That's what I get for being up in the middle of the night (2 am) and reading the boards. :D

Since I missed doing St. Thomas in the newsletter I'm going to do it for April. I'll include some info and pictures of Coral World. We loved it and are really looking forward to doing Sea Trekkin'

Stacey glad to hear your taxes are finally finished. You don't need to share Cash's kibble on the ship, food is included in the price of the cruise :) - but for now you may have to go down and share with him
Did you find out why the helicopter was flying around you last night? Maybe they were looking for kibble thieves :earseek: :teeth:

Morning all. Stacey, congrats on finishing those taxes! I just do the princess thing and "hire them done".

We plan to just visit Coral World on St. Thomas. There's no ressie required for that is there?

We're like Linda in that we set it up to get a nice rebate. I know we'd also just spend it if we got it all year long. I'm planning on that rebate paying for a good chunk of the trip. Now if I can just keep DH and DD from needing new glasses again (both of them broke their glasses since new years, and I'm still in the same pair I bought in 99  ) we'll be ready to pay off mid-summer. I think I'll probably pay off early, since we'll pay using the ff credit card, and I'm using those ff miles to book our tickets. Earlier is better to get the seats.

Hi!
How's everyone this morning?

jilljill....:p you made me laugh...thanks! Forgot the food is free. Okay, not free, but included.

Sadly, I still have to pay someone to actually finish the taxes....all I do is tally the income/deductions and changes, etc. But Jay's dad has a lot of property that we sold, donated, transferred, etc. plus stock sales, dividends, junk like that. I don't think it's worth it to have all that...it just makes for more stuff to keep track of all year.
Since we have our own business & rental properties, we have things like depreciation, sales tax, etc, to figure along with the standard deductions. And that's just the personal taxes. I had the business taxes finished and handed in by the first of January, since they are due Monday.
It would be so much easier if Jay and I worked for another company and had just one W-2 & standard deductions. That's part of why we have to pay ....we have income coming in that doesn't have the taxes deducted off the top. :( I bet there's a lot of us here that are in that same boat... Funny thing is, it works to your advantage all year...till tax time! WOW, you just can't please some whiney westerners.
I wish I could be a princess: and just hand it all over....I just don't think I could PAY anyone enough to do it!!:p :p
BUT IT'S OVER FOR NOW!!!!!! YIPPEEE!!! Happy happy happy.
Well, like Snow White's little friends say...off to work I go.

:)

Thanks for the pre-newsletter info, though, Mary, and the link was very helpful, too, David, it spurred me to start investigating the excursions, which, of course, led to other questions. One question I had about the excursion thing is: If you see an excursion in the Disney list and sign up for it successfully and on and on.. is transport to the excursion site part of the deal? or does DCL just drop you off at the pier and set you free to find whatever you signed up for?..... I see in the passporter a list of excursions for St. Thomas, of which a tour of Coral World is one....how do you get there?
AND....how do you find out what's going on in St. Lucia, or Antigua? Maybe I'm leaning on my passporter too much..... Of course, I might run into the same problem I'm having with Cash's Bahamas paperwork and not be able to get off the ship but that's another pile of **** and I don't even want to think about it today... Instead, I should follow the good example being set and get the paperwork together for my t****. princess:
