So quiet this weekend. Nothing super interesting going on here. Friday was errand day. I was returning some clothes and ran into my next door neighbor in the store. I hadn't really seen her except in quick passing since July 4. I almost didn't recognize her. She has lost so much weight. She is doing one of the GLP-1 injections.

Saturday was football day. Our team lost... again. And our starting quarterback was injured. Next week dh and I are traveling to an away game. It's going to be a long depressing ride home if we lose again.

I'm happy that tomorrow is the first day of fall. Unfortunately we are also supposed to get rain most of the week.

Us too, Charade, rain chances most of the week. But at least today, high weather system still around and nice weather day.

Yeah, now in the Fall season, and what do you get with a clear overnight sky? 56 degrees as I came out the door. Sigh. Week day routine start was this predawn morning. But no jacket, as will be 78 when I start that happy commute out of the city this late afternoon.

Monday morning blues. Was up right before the alarm went off. Quick enough commute, and since it’s the Jewish holiday coming up, and the fact that not all come in on a Monday, and so very quiet in this early morning.

Had a nice weekend, did a pick up, that will be returned, as I assume had seen in person before, little one would have not bought it. Also had a very filling spaghetti dinner last night with my sister. Pool is now weathered, so we play board games and left a puzzle for her to finish. I enjoy catching up with my only sister of us five.

By as all good weekends end, for at least the next couple of months, that week day routine will be in the city. Then I’ll be like my DH, as what day is it? Not really, but hoping to enjoy life and maybe part time work. Though it will be a change, as been working 35 years at where I started this work.

Monday, yes it is. The first one in the Fall. Yeah, one of the last weeks to hear lawn mowers. Hehe. Though I have to say, it is kinda nice to complain about the four different weather seasons where I live. Fall begins to be cooler nights and early mornings, and the cheaper apples, as local high season of them right now. Still mostly green seen right now, but that glorious tree leave colors will show not much after we end this month and into next month. By early October, many of our green leaves will be yellow, orange and red. But as still warm now, those shorts and t- shirts will not be put away quite yet.

Golden sunrise, and sunlight pouring through my window. Sunrise was around 20 minutes ago. And almost cool inside the office, as even hugging the tea mug, it’s even getting cooler. Do have that sweater jacket, may put it on soon.

Making a quick stop in!!!!!

Life seems to have gotten super busy. Since dd and her family moved back here, we have been busy with them. I seem to pick up our gd often to help out when I can. We just had her for a whole weekend as dd and sil went to Vegas to go to watch the Raiders play LA ( I think) They had a great time, and we had a great time with our gd.

Work - has been insanely chaotic, and doesn't look like it will get better any time soon. It is what it is, I just keep taking it day by day.

I am sad, fall is already here. Summer flew by way too fast. We did major landscaping in both the front and back yard -so that took up most of our summer. There is some smaller projects to do next year, but won't kill our summer like it did this year. But it looks amazing.

We are planning a quick trip to Disneyland in Jan to celebrate gd's 6th birthday. She is only little for so long, and want to visit Disney in some sort of capacity while she is little and the "magic" is still here. She is soooo excited, and Grammie is busy researching how to do Land vs World. I am thinking maybe a quick weekend trip for dh and I just to figure it out before we drag the kids there . I have some extra personal leave days I need to use up and think that would be a great use of those days.

I miss stopping in. Work has been soooo busy and chaotic that most days I don't even pick up my phone or look at anything other than the computer monitors in front of me. And the evenings, I am soooo burnt out, I have zero energy or brain capacity to do much else.

Good to hear from you Pumpkin. Happy that you get more time to spend with gd, with her family moving closer to you. What fun, a DL trip. Makes sense to do some recon, with a DH and you trip before taking your gd. Always good to take time off, when you’ve been working so much lately. Little one said, one of those summer times, we’ll come up to the NW and sea kayak through the San Juan Islands. May give you a PM if we do head out that way. We have been to DL 3 times, and my kids are going out to CA early next year, for a LA event, and said, why not also stay a few days at DL. Why not, I said.

Ah, another day with rain chances in the later evening and then throughout all of next day. Tomorrow’s rain totals, as said this morning, 1.2 inches. Hence, have my golf umbrella ready in the car, as may be raining when I arrive and leave.

But glad we are already at that mid week point, where camel is here to remind all of that feeling today:



Yay, wahoo indeed, as we get over this hump of a day feeling day, then Friday only a day away. Woot! Wednesday feeling here for sure.

Good morning. I'm killing time before a medical appointment. Of course now that I'm going to see someone all my symptoms have gone away.
Nothing interesting going on here. Work has been extremely slow. I don't want to complain too much though. You don't want things to get too interesting when you work in mental health.

I am sad, fall is already here.

Good to see a post from you. This is where we are complete opposites. I am happy to have fall arrive.

DL will be fun. I think it's easier to plan because there are only 2 parks.

Same here. I think we are supposed to get rain most of the rest of this week and next. Dh and I are going to Norfolk on Saturday for a football game. I hope we don't get rained out.

Still have about 30 minutes to kill. Ugh.

Where is everyone?

Yesterday dh and I drove over 4 hours in the rain and then sat in the rain for another 3 hours to watch our football team lose again. I can't remember a time when I was that wet that didn't involve a pool or shower. I don't think there was a dry spot on me.

This morning I had my first Tim Hortons experience. Good donuts.

Back to work tomorrow. Ugh.

I feel ya, Charade. Ugh, yep, Monday it is and week day routine has already been started over a hour ago. Ack to be so wet after a trip to watch the losing team play in the rain.

We had a nice weekend, with a 85 degree high day, Sunday. On Saturday, it was also warm and nice out and since the kids were away, I decided it was time to get DH out for a meal. He did pretty good, though there were a few times, I thought I should have not let him only use his cane. But I will say, I’m so glad he is much more mobile than a year ago. I may try to get him out more, if the weather is nice.

But yeah, Monday blah it is. But no rain for us, as a decently cloudy day, but those clouds are just for show, and blocking that view of those bluer than blue skies we saw yesterday. 80 the high. Woot! Warmer days will be happily enjoyed, as a 69 the high day seen in the week day forecast. But at least was predicted no rain to be seen this whole week.

Ah, that beautiful Fall weather, where a steady 70’s highs for October should be coming as that new month arrives this week. And yay, means our bonus Fall trip is before next month ends. Still deciding on that maybe a holiday trip too, though late planning for that, as have seen much slimmer pickings, as was looking. Hmm.

Sending out good thoughts and wishes to Janet and Carole. You are missed. Hope you are both well and enjoying life to its fullest.




My sister and I returned home on Thursday morning the 18th and I have been pretty busy with things since then.

We had a great trip. We balanced HHN, park time, shopping, relaxing time and day at the pool.

I think that limiting my overall time at HHN helped this year. It was busy, but I didn't feel the need to go every night I could have.

I think the secret is to find a balance for sure between attending the event and having some nice park days, shopping, pool time and relaxing time.

We had a nice visit with our older sister D for a couple of days while we were there. It was so nice to have some sister time.

We had the nicest stay at Portofino. All the staff were so kind. We were spoiled at the Club Lounge for sure. All the food was so good. It was nice not having think about what to cook or where to eat for most of the trip.

I don’t know where they throw the luggage under the plane, but both mine and my sister K’s bags were pretty dirty. I was able to get mine clean with my handheld carpet cleaner.

We had hubby’s brother in for a visit for a few days.

My dad and half sister are coming in on Thursday for a few days.

Little J’s 6th birthday party is Saturday. He loves trucks and cars. Particularly dump trucks etc. Found this cake for him and ordered it. He wanted strawberries in it. So had them put it in the cake.

I’am helping out with the party. Niece B and sister K have been under the weather a bit so I wanted to help with party.

I found some cool truck decorations for the tables.

There will be a 6 on it instead of one of course, but I think he will like it.



The sun is shining here. We are still in the upper 80’s with cooler nights. Going out to do some things in the yard today.
