We talked about the 10 day and then the 14 day (east to west) but I couldn't justify the cost. If we did the Repo cruise, the 10 day would have to go....

and there ain't no way I want to be cancelling that one!!

Don't blame DH for doing a liveaboard by himself. I did one without DS when I sold a business. Had a great time by myself just diving in Belize. I also did one later with DS. He had a good time, but there is something about just diving, sleeping, and eating for a week that makes a man happy.

I am envious of your DH. I have been looking at book at liveaboard all summer long.

By the way, DS does a great deal of deep diving and does great at it. I would rather have him as a buddy at 130ft than some of the other divers I have dove with. He is looking forward to diving with your family during the cruise.

That's what DH says about DD. By all accounts, she is quite the accomplished young diver. I get to take her to Advanced Cert class on Friday. I think you four will have a great time. Now, how about me and your DW? What are we supposed to do, hmmm?

Mary, Stupid question - do I just click the email link under your post or do you have a different address to send the info to?

You did miss our birthdays and anniversary, but that's ok. It's my fault for not getting involved sooner. We can celebrate my Un-Birthday on the cruise (there are exactly 6 months between my birthday and Christmas).

If you let me know where to send the info, I'll send that and a picture out.

Ohiominnie - we can't really justify the cost of both cruises either, but we couldn't pass either of them up. So, we're doing both. We really wanted to do the May Repo because it's over our anniversary, but we figured that the August cruise gives us more time to save (and the May cruisers will be able to give us the inside scoop about what to expect and plan for). Plus, we haven't done Disneyland yet, so this gives us a chance to do that as well.

Morning all. I know there would be no way I could talk my DH into the repo cruise. Didn't even waste my breath.

Believe it or not, the in-laws are talking about an Alaskan cruise next summer. Some friends of theirs are doing this, and Dad has always wanted to see Alaska. Mary, haven't you and Mark gone on one of these? Or maybe I'm getting you confused with Barb and Tony (you know, loves DCL, lives in Chicago, no kids???? I'm seeing lots of parallels here. Now you just need to take another 36 cruises to catch up lol!!!). Does anyone know if the Alaskan cruises have any kid's programs? Depending on the prices, and activities, we just might have to go along on that one too!

DS has scouts tonight, and I'm going to run some errands while he's there. That's about all the excitement I can handle this week.

Lisa, we've talked about Alaska but have never been on one. Yes all we need are another 36 cruisers or so and we can be Barb and Tony - that's not going to happen. Barb has said they work 2 jobs each to be able to afford those. I'm happy with one cruise a year and other smaller trips as well

Well I think I'm in trouble now. I only just realized that It's my anniversary today. I had the date wrong in my Outlook. I thought it was tomorrow. I bet if I just keep quiet and hide out in my den that Pam will forget it to!

Virgil - That's a good idea. I could just tell her that we'll have a nice "dinner" at the local DIS meet this weekend. After all it is at one of the local brew pubs!
