It's quiet without Stacey, for sure. Did everyone chime in on firsts for this cruise? I thought of another one, I'm going to see a sunset this time. Was too busy last time.

Actually I thought of a first that I would like to try to do. I'd like to be able to relax. I'm always so busy running around doing stuff that I'm either exhausted or frustrated that I couldn't get more done. My DW is usually laying by the pool while I'm running around. Oh well, I guess I can dream about relaxing!

LeiLani, Thanks for the update on your mom. Have a great time in Florida.


We are taking a family vacation tomorrow. We decided about a month ago to take a 4 night Carnival Cruise out of NY. We are leaving tomorrow and wil be back Monday 7/26. It makes one stop in Halifax, Canada. We are going on the Victory. We got such a great rate for two connecting outside cabins that we could not pass it up. I am sure it will be a lot of fun and it will be so nice to be away as a family. The change of weather will be nice also.
I waited till the last minute to pack so that is what I will be doing all day today and meeting my SIL for a quick bite for lunch while the chilren are in camp.

Remember me? I've only posted once - way back on 8/11/03 on page 14. We've come a long way since then. I've been here, just lurking. DH wouldn't let me get excited about this trip until we got our other 2 out of the way (we went to WDW in December and May). Now that we're in the home stretch, I can get excited now

Anyway, to reintroduce myself. My name is Jenny. I'm 26. I'm married to Jamie - who's 28. We live in New Hampshire. We're DVC owners. We have no kids (except 1 fur baby - a boy chihuahua named Pogo who's 6 and not coming on the cruise with us). I do CAD for a civil engineering firm. DH is a computer engineer who owns his own consulting company - which he just expanded to have 1 employee - WOHOO!!!

This will be our 3rd DCL cruise. We LOVE disney. We just recently started looking into moving to Florida. We originally thought Orlando, but decided we wanted to keep that as a vacation spot, so now we're looking into the Tampa area (probably somewhere near Lakeland). I guess that's all for now. Maybe I'll think of more later.

Has anyone checked disneycruise.com lately? I've been checking it and get the "oops! no dates available" message. Does this mean we're sold out? Just wondering.

ALSO, LOL, has anyone ever been to disneyinkshop.com? They sell "legal" disney shirts (with all the characters and such). I guess it's fairly new and they're supposed to continue to expand. I know you guys are planning to make your own tshirts, but I thought someone might be interested in these.

AND, DVC4US - you don't happen to be a fugee are you? If you aren't, you won't have any idea what I'm talking about, so you'll be like this . I was just wondering because you're the second person that's mentioned Destin, FL this week.

DW didn't even want to talk about the cruise until November... of course after the Easter cruise... the new Passporter... and a couple of the books I got on our ports....she's mildly excited - still thinks/worries something will happen between now and then....

Oh well.... Back to work....

Mary, we have things to say. It's just that we can't say them, the boards have really been dogging it.

DD went to a water park yesterday with friends. You have to understand, she's a very white kid. Like Nicole Kidman white. Like the one glowing like a ghost in the picture white. After repeated warnings about sunscreen, she got a sunburn. Not too bad, but bad enough that she's whining. Mom is trying not to say "I told you..."

Taking DH to the airport this morning. He will be on a live aboard off Catalina for his 50th birthday on Friday. I guess that's a statement. Not taking DD this time, he believes (and I concur) that she shouldn't do the deeper dives until she is 16 or so.

Of course, you now have to catch up on all the questions like 1) what character is most like you, 2) what time in history would you like to live in, 3) what new things are you planning to do this cruise, and a million other ones that I've forgotten! And Diana, you're right, the boards have been really slow lately. I'm in training most of today, so maybe by tomorrow thing will be back to normal.

Diana, I have no problem explaining what a "fugee" is. It comes from another board that I frequent. We are all "refugees" from another board that settled in a created a community of our own (called the fugees). So, the term fugee comes from refugee. I really don't think she is a fugee, but someone over there mentioned the same thing she did - which was probably just a coincidence, but you never know. Not really a big deal.

MORNING ALL CRUISERS!!!!!

Another hot day here in the west! And then we are getting those monsoon rainstorms at night which is causing havoc in some places. But, we are okay. Our DDog (Sebastian-the Golden Retriever) he finds the farthest corner he can hide in whenever those storms come barrelling through. It's enough to make you laugh.

Anyway, I'm on the downhill side since we don't work Friday. Yeah. An extra day off. Thanks to that state holiday.

Okay, back to work.

Mary - I think you have all our info. I'm not positive though. I already have the password for the newsletter, so I'm all set there. I have a really good picture to send you of us, but I'll have to find it. Do you want me to email it to you?

I think we may be sold out. I check the web site every once in awhile just to see what's available and what the cost is, but I haven't been able to pull it up (I was also checking the August Repo cruise because we're going on that too, but that's been sold out for awhile and I guess it has a long waitlist).

Oh - I think the Disney character that most resembles me is.....Dopey because I'm pretty dopey sometimes

The riding excursion looks great. Thanks Mary for posting them. We will be looking at them in the next few days and trying to make some decisions. I will most likely have to ponder the choices for a few days/week to really decide. If others are think about the riding let me know that may persuade DH.

Welcome back Jenny. Do you know how many people are doing both the Holiday cruise and the August Repo? There are a few of us here that are doing the Holiday cruise and the May Repo.

Wouldn't it be nice to have the funding and time to do all three!

Here's my fantasy: do the May repo cruise, spend the summer in CA and do a couple of the Mexican Riviera cruises, and then take the Magic back to FL in August. What's wrong with that?

Seriously, you all are lucky. The only thing better than 10 days on the Magic is 14 days on the Magic. Just couldn't justify taking the kid out of school for two weeks. Besides, I think they talk jail time around here if you do that.
