Joining the doc dance...

Ours arrived today in the mailbox without fanfare, via Priority Mail envelope direct from All Seasons Travel. (Thanks All Seasons for the prompt delivery!) I've skimmed through all of the information within, and am happy to report that I didn't find anything I didn't already know from living on the DISboards! We're getting close, can't wait-

Don't feel lonely, we haven't got ours yet. I think everyone should chip in to buy a drink of the day for the last to receive docs. Just checked res again, no upgrade yet. Still have fingers crossed.

No docs here either. I will be waiting patiently by the phone tomorrow hoping for a call from the TA that they have come in.

Any guesses as to whether or not we will be going to Grand Cayman? We have ressie to go horseback riding on the beach, now I'm not sure if they will be up and running by then.

Hopefully Ivan is the last of the hurricanes we will see this year.

When I logged onto my Yahoo account a little bit ago. They had a news flash that the Caymans were hit pretty hard. No actual description but that is several islands not just GC. I too hope they will be up and running in four weeks.

A mystery cruise wouldn't be bad that would give me another excuse to rebook - to get to the stingrays!

Grand Cayman got smacked by Ivan. Hurricane watches are now up for Cozumel. I wonder if our Western is going to turn into an Eastern? Any one up for two days at Castaway Cay?

Just found this site and info today. We are on the 10/9 cruise. First time Disney cruiser. I was reading thru all you all typed and saw some info re reservations at PALO being made before you board the cruise. Never knew this was an option. Is it? Hot do you do it? Help - We really wanted one night of dinner w/o our kids and now I am worried it won't be possible.

Welcome to the cruise. We did it by booking the REAS package. It was an additional $299. I think you will be okay if you are able to get into the line for Palo's. We did it because it will be our ten year anniv.

How old are your children?

Where did you book the REAS package - thru your TA. Our daughters are 5 & 6 and totally excited. Another question, what is the dismeet people are referring to?

We added it on through our TA. Then I called Debbie at DCL. She was great.

I'm not sure about the Dismeet. I don't remember all the details. I'll let someone else answer that question.

We are also bringing our DD 8. Hopefully there are others who have children in the same age bracket.

The dismeet is where we will be meeting to get to know each other before the cruise starts. I have never been to one personally yet, but I can't wait to put faces to all the names on this board.

We are also having a mini-DIS meet at the Radisson by the pool in the afternoon of October 8. We will have our DIS lanyards on a table.
