Will all of you going to Paradise Beach be buying lunch there or bringing it along from the ship? I'm just wondering what to do. At first I thought of bringing something ordered from room service in a cooler as many have talked about, having a picnic with the kids, and saving a little $. Then another person posted about how it is not permitted to bring in food from another source, that the beach makes its money from selling food and drinks to tourists, etc. Anyone have any thoughts? What do you all plan to do? Thanks, Heidi

I think I might bring food for the kids because they can be picky. The adults will probably buy food there. Since we are eating dinner on the ship....I like to be able to say I ate a mexican meal at cozumel. :):smooth:

I'll have some bits with me from the morning but plan to eat there the menu was really nice and not too expensive go to www.cozumel-beach.com and then click on picture of kitchens to see the menu, i even found things my picky ds will go for :-)
See you all in 51/2 weeks Yahoooo

Hi All!

WOW! This trip is going to be here before you know it. I can't wait. It's been a long time since I first posted. I'm part of a group of 13. Yup, Moms, Dads, Sisters, Brothers, Grandparents, Cousins......you get the picture We're all related through blood or marriage. Don't worry, I can assure you we are harmless. Plans for the cruise:

Key West - Just walking around.

Grand Cayman: Part of us are doing Capt. Marvins half-day snorkle trip (10AM). The Grandmoms are taking the Grandkids to the turtle farm. Shopping!

Cozumel: A few of us are doing the dune buggy tour (non-Disney). The rest will probably head to the beach.

Castaway Cay: Snorkle and enjoy the day

Can't Wait, Can't Wait, Can't Wait :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Hi Kathy, sounds like you'll have a great family trip , are you heading to paradise beach with the rest of us or on dcl beach trip ?

How old are the kids, i'm travelling with DS 13 and DH

See you in a few weeks,

p.s anyone get an excursion booklet from dcl yet ? i didn't , hate to think what would have happened to my excursions if i hadn't stumbled across this site !

Good Morning!

Traycie, there are three legitimate children in this group. Two boys ages 4 and 5 and a girl, age 3. (They are my nephews and niece.) With this group however, any of the "adults" can slip into the child catagory at any time.

I'm doing the dune buggy tour on Cozumel. I think those doing the beach are doing it on their own. Not sure where they are going. Hopefully my sister, scubarn, will chime in here.

I got the excursion booklet when I got the final invoice about three weeks ago. (We booked thru All Seasons.) The Capt Marvin's and dune buggy were booked on our own. They were more towards what we wanted to do, better timing and cheaper then what Disney was charging.

Kathy

Hi kathy, dcl welcomes kids of all ages ;)
we too slip into adolescent mode occasionally, didn't realise you were scubarns sister, bet you're all looking forward to trip. we booked through dvc so maybe that's why we didn't get booklet ?
anyway see you in a few weeks, am praying hurricanes are absent for our sailing:worship:

Tracey,

I have yet to see anything from the Line yet on excursions. Feel the same way you do. Would have been in the blind without this site.

Chuck

Serena, I'm hoping the kids like the clubs also. Somebody needs to be watching the munchkins while mommy and daddy and dancin' and boozin' (inside joke!)

To say I am looking forward to this cruise is an understatement. I am so in need of a vacation. I was away on business in a rather isolated location the other week. Aside from watching the Olympics, I spent one evening playing the DCL DVD on my laptop and reading the Cruise Passporter. (Yes, I need to get a life.) I'm also looking forward to having scubarn (Karen) and our brother along with, spouses and kids in the same place for once.

Keep praying for good weather and the string of hurricanes stop.

Ok chiming in here!

While the rest of the family is on the dune buggy tour, We are planning on going to the beach, so far Paradise Beach looks like the best place to go. So the plans are to grab a taxi and head on over after we dock. Also want to do some shopping while in Cozumel (kahlua)

Karen

No documents for us yet, but I think its still a little early. Anyone else?

I'm another one who's hoping my children enjoy the club. My daughter (6) is more than a little shy so hoping that there is enough to catch her interest and she will stay and get used to it.
My son, 5, never knows a stranger so not worried about him. And I'll second the vote for the hurricanes to be over with by then!

Heidi

We haven't recd our doc's yet, but won't start worrying for another few weeks. We also didn't get an excursion booklet, we booked through allseastravel.

As with any of our vacations I am second guessing our planned cozmel excursion. We have the Fury Catamaran Sail, Snorkel and beach party planned, but (big but) it seems like alot of people are going to be at Paradise Beach....hopefully by the time we leave the final decision will be made.

Last year on the same cruise we got our docs first, the came the beginning of September.

Morning, okay it's 1st september so i'll be hounding postman for docs :-)
we are leaving the uk a week before cruise so hope they're here soon, looks like we'll all be at paradise beach on coz day. Hope these hurricanes have blown themselves out by then although a mystery cruise would be fun would play havoc with my compulsive planning self :jester:
Kathy, ain't nothing wrong with watching dvd of dcl and reading passporter, i think i've spent last 3 months doing just that, i'm with you i soooooooooooooooo need a holiday, hence the panic over hurricanes.
Don't forget to post when anyone gets docs so we can do the dance.

Lets hope hurricane Frances doesn't harm Castaway Cay too much. On our last family cruise Oct. 1999, we were the first ship into CC after Floyd hit in Sept. and that was a month later. There wasn't alot of vegitation and they had to rebuild the dock.
our 2nd Disney cruise in 2001 was a mystery cruise with CC twicw in the same week. I would hate to miss CC but will hope for the best.
No docs yet .

Hi Everyone,
Just back from a long weekend in Amsterdam. Had a lovely time but quite a lot of rain, it was better weather in UK.
Only one more weekend away now before cruise so will have to start planning.
Last year if I remember rightly we were amongst the 1st to get docs. Don't know if they send abroad 1st to make sure we get them in time.
Going to cut lawns now before it rains again.
