We had a very enjoyable trip to Michigan and back. Luckily we missed the weather headed this way and got home before it hit.
It is always fun to meet new DIS'ers and even more fun to catch up with old friends.
We got to the mall about 12:30 and looked around the food court but couldn't find anyone that looked like DIS'ers. On lap 2 we ran into Gail (#1 Mouse) and John! It was great to see them again. We had sailed with them on the DVC Member Cruise. We gave them some prototype buttons Mark is doing for Member Homecoming and settled in to an area that Gail said had been used for meets before. We were soon joined by Mary (Iluvdisney) who was also on the cruise with us.
At this point Christy (who's screen name I can't remember) came up and said hello and that she was going to check out the
Disney store. We never saw her again. Hope we didn't scare her away
Next game Laura (Lars624), Laura (LK4), Sue (Brernurse) and Donna (who's screen name I can't remember). Laura told me she is the one that does the daily riddle on the CB. They are also part of the Angels group. Mark doesn't read the CB at all and I skim read. We were then joined by Brian (cubsfan) and his wife Leanne. At this point everyone was eating lunch and looking at scrapbooks. I had brought mine from last years cruises (including the DVC Member Cruise) and Laura and Donna had each brought one as well. Great scrapbooks ladies!
Fantasia joined us for a while between work and having to pick up her kids and Pinnie and her DH also stopped by for a quick visit.
Laura had her DH bring their DVD player and we checked out some of Barry's 2003 DIS meet DVD! The riddlers had a great time checking out the footage from Riddlecon.
I was saddened to hear that Yepod couldn't make it due to being in the hospital. Prayers and pixie dust heading your way.
Sorry to hear that a few others who were planning on coming had plans change at the last minute.
It was over all to soon - but we'll be meeting up with Gail, John, Mary and many other DIS'ers at Member Homecoming in May!
Here are a few pics to enjoy!
