Deb, I am inspired by your committment (a whole YEAR of living healthy!) and your results (55 pounds AND lower blood pressure - would LOVED to see the look on your doc's face!).

I bet you'll be lookin' AND feelin' great for your trip in January!

Thanks for sharing your journey, Deb! :sunny:

I am so glad your blood pressure is down. More proof that you are a healthier person. I might not be able to check in until Sunday. I hope yu have a wonderful holiday.
Beth

Happy holidays, Deb. I enjoy reading your journal and get lots of inspiration from reading about your workout routines.

Take care,
Erin

erin, beth, doreen.......thanks again for your comments. it is good to see what year's worth of a lifestyle change can do for anyone, both health and looks-wise. just a quick post this a.m., will read journals later today........wanna get to the gym to make up for not getting a workout in yesterday.

hope everyone had a peaceful christmas........i didnt stick to bfl but did watch my calories. today and tomorrow i will be getting on track again......then only a free meal on sunday, not a full blown free day.

today's plan:

meals:
will post as eat them.......since i may have the time today.

water:
6 lovely liters

exercise:
10'" xt
lbwo
ubwo
xtra cardio if time allows

goals:
1)stick to bfl today 100%
2)water 100%
3)exercise........hit some 10's
4)start rereading bfl book and keep journal up-to-date

edit 820 pm-not great on my eating today..........had 2 bfl-type meals and 1 cup of cheez-its and 4 kahlua chocolates.......did good on calories but not enough protien to build muscle after having a great upper and lower body workout this a.m. drank at least 3 liters...i will have 1/2 cup of cottage cheese before bed tonite........to help them muscle when they are repairing themselves while i rest. didnt start rereading the book yet........maybe tomorrow.

i posted my first clippie and some pics of my transformation so far.......one of the pics aint pretty..ugh!!!!!!!!!!

have great day today!

deb

nutrition - well today wasnt a bfl followed day but i did have good portion control with the foods i ate. i am sure i have had around 1500 cals

water - 3l........not good

exercise - good workout......ended up doing a new routine i have heard about that is really supposed to burn fat........35 mins on treadmill-1 minute fastest run i can, followed by 2 min very fast walk recovery, repeated x10........i was dying on my last run, treadmill was on 10 mph for that last interval....this was a total killer.......woohoo!!!!...i am weird, i know:tongue:

ok, well tomorrow i am not taking an eating free day as essentially i did today......i just didnt follow the program........so tomorrow i will.

supposed to weigh in a.m..........we'll see........i dont like to focus on the scale especially if i am thinking there hasnt been a change.

i did weigh earlier this week just for fun and earned my first 5 pound clippie........so hmmmmmmm.........just dont know if i wanna do it again.

tomorrow's goals:
bfl eating
water 6l
day off from exercise

Deb, you ROCK! Your exercise regimen just amazes me! I haven't checked out your pics yet but I will very soon.

Make good choices with your eating today, OK? I'll try to do the same! :sunny:

Deb, you are doing an amazing job. I am so impressed with the way you're staying with BFL and your exercise regime. I can't believe how much water you're able to drink. Truly amazing.
Beth

Hi Deb! You are doing so well. I saw that picture you posted. Thanks so much for sharing what a stunnig fellow WISHer we have in you! You are such an inspiration to get in that exercise. Thanks so much for sharing your journey with us.

Oh and your clippie sure looks good on you!!!

thanks girls for your thoughts.......

well i took that free day yesterday that i shouldnt have......i keep rationalizing that i dont wanna lose any wt til i weigh in for my ymca fitness team challenge on friday.......so i know i dont have the right mindset for bfl.......but obviously there wont be any excuses as soon as i weigh in......i am bfl'ing today for the most part......hahaha

today's plan and actualities:

meals:
1)cottage cheese, orange
2)10 hershey kisses and a vitamin......what a joke!
3)egg white omelet with 1 pc bfl french toast
4)t2pc bfl french toast
5)1c bfl choc mousse........oh my this was so good, havent made it in awhile(1c skim cot cheese, 1T skim milk, 2T sf choc pudding-blenderize)...i think this recipe would work well with lo carb diets..hint,hint........

water:
6lx9pm

exercise:
lbwo
10" xt
40" bike.....read new idea........sit on recumbant bike so that your knees come within 10 inches of your chest to better work abs and hips........this was hard to do with long legs....had to be careful to not hit my knees on the handlebars...but i could feel the difference.

Deb - your exercise routine puts mine to shame! You go girl!

Keep up the great work whatever diet program you use. You are an inspiration to me. I haven't done my exercise today yet but I will!

I finally got a chance to see your pics Deb. All I can say is wowee! You look great! Wish I could do better in the exercise area but time is a factor for me right now. Maybe that should be my New Year's resolution. Keep up the good work Deb, you look fabulous!::yes::

Hey, Deb? Where are ya? Are you away somewhere having fun? Oh, by the way, HAPPY NEW YEAR! :Pinkbounc

Welcome to the 1st day of the January Cheat Free Challenge! Amanda, Doreen, Lisa Zeraspride, and I are all joining you in this month of healthy living! We can do it with the help of our friends, right?

Onward and downward we go,
Erin

ok..... my mindset hasnt been right this week........i am starting a fitness challenge at the gym tomorrow and just didnt wanna lose any wt this week, actually i wanted to weigh close to 200# for the challenge.........then i have a goal of losing 30# for the challenge by april 1.........so i have actually gained a few pounds just to make myself weigh more at this weigh-in......i told ya i am weird.......who wants to try to weigh close to 200?........lol........only me, but only for tomorrow.......

i actually started back on strict bfl today, after 2 days off......i will probably weigh in at just a little under 200# tomorrow. there are 6 members on my team and we will win some amt of cash if we are the winners overall. i will have my measurements and pic taken,wt,bf%,bmi done..then monthly those things will be rechecked. the challenge is 13 weeks long. i will post these measurements tomorrow.

i am probably gonna just start a new bfl challenge today..........the biggest kink in this 13 week program is an 8 day trip to wdw in 2 weeks........it will be my goal to just maintain this week..........the rest of the time go all out body for life.

today's plan:

diet:
1) 4 egg white omelet with ff cheese and salsa, 1 pc ww toast
2)veggie burger, 1pc ww bread, lettuce and tomato
3)4 slices of turkey, 1pc ww bread
4)bfl choc mousse

water:
2.5 l.......ugh!

exercise:
gym closed, so went for a 75 min walk pushing the jogger stroller with 50#, 3 yo in it........the weather is so wonderful here this week. it must be close to 60 today.

erin........i am so happy to join to the cheat free challenge with ya all.........altho i will not be able to be cheat free during my disney trip....guess i'll have to start over then...

i dont have time right now to read other journals......but hope to have a chance later today.......happy new year everyone!!!!!

cheat free today.......thanks to that bfl choc mousse this evening

:sunny: Good morning, Deb! :sunny:

Very cool challenge at the gym! You've got all your WISH supporters as your fan club! Let us know how the team is doing as the weeks go by, OK?:Pinkbounc

Way to go on being cheat free. Yeah, when you go to Disney you'll probably start all over again, but who cares??? You're going to Disney World!

All right, I just checked my training schedule and it says I'm supposed to walk 5 miles today. Don't let me get out of it! I want you to hold me to it. The comments you wrote to Lisa about exercise and water. . .well, I want to be strong and motivated like you guys!! :hyper:

Onward! Downward! Strong as I can be!
Erin

Good morning, Deb! Happy 2004!!

First off, your pictures are AMAZING!!! What changes you have made already! WOW! Best of luck in your 13 week challenge! I did something similar last spring - it was a 10 week team challenge. My team did win some cash ($60 each!) because we had the most members of our team finish the 10 week program. Those team challenges can be very motivating! That's why I'm so excited about our 5 member WISH team challenge of being cheat-free in January. :p My Disney trip isn't til Feb. 5th. :teeth: Even if you don't make it the whole month, at least you'll be cheat free for part of January and that's such a good thing to do for your body!

I totally understand wanting to give yourself an edge for the challenge. Sad to say, I'd be thinking the same thing. :p Today is Friday - your big start day - so it's onward and downward from here!

Way to go with your long walk yesterday! Pushing that stroller really adds intensity!! Can't wait to see your progress on your YMCA team challenge - keep us posted!

Have a great day, Deb! :sunny:
