My DH and I have had a disney visa for a while now and love to use it. A few months ago, we received a $150 offer to open up another account. We did this and now yesterday we received another offer, this time for $200. Should I cancel one of the cards and take them up on this offer too? Do the rewards points still count if I have transferred them to a rewards card , but I cancel the account?

Thanks!

Reward points are void if you close the account. You might want to move the points to a rewards card and then use them to purchase a gift card before closing the account. I wish that I would get an offer like that to open another account. I would not have a problem opening a new account just for the two hundred reward points.

I actually started a similar trend a week or so ago. Hubby and I took advantage of this offer. DH signed up for $150 and me for $200 offer. We both already had a card. So that is $350 spending money for our trip. Good deal. I would def do it.

I've had my Disney Rewards Visa for almost 6 years. Where are you guys seeing these $110, $150 and $200 offers to open a new account? Geez, and I can't even get a bonus offer for 5x points like everybody else is getting

I have always get cc offers form disney and we have had our card forever. I think I got $25 Disney store gc to sign up way back when. Anyway we bough into dvc in jan and the offers really started to come. I was throwing them out for awhile but called about it and found out you could have multiple cards.....so lucky us. As for reward point offers. I just got my first one ever in September and then right after that got another one. Weird.

I would not cancel the first card. Just hang on to it.
DH and I both have 2 disney visa cards in each of our names.
Take advantage of the offer.

I'm on of those people that never get the 5x offer or the offer of money for another card and I've had my card for years and charge ALOT on it and pay it off every month ($17000 this month alone!) I have even called and asked for the offers and was told I'm not eligible. Go figure :confused3.

You can get up to 3 accounts per person and get the bonus rewards for signing up for all of them. Just be sure it's worth the hit to your credit score. If you are planning on refinancing or doing anything else that hinges upon your credit score, this might not be a good move for you.

Wish I could get that offer....we have 2 cards, but I would take more for that!

I got those offers too, $150 & $200 so i opened up two more. Not planning on using them expect once to get the rewards then I will wait till our disney trip to get the rewards card total $350:cool1: and close one and just keep one open to get the 6 mos same as cash option on packages. We already have one disney card that we use for everything and pay off monthly, but seems I've been reading there is a different way monies are applied to promotional rates? Figure if that is the only thing on the card it'll all come out right and I'll get the 6 mos same as cash. Other than using it for trips the second card won't be used. Not buying or refinancing anything so not concerned about the credit hit.

Are people getting these offers in the mail? EMail? I never get any offers.
