20% discount off morning, in-park purchases with theme park counter service receipt

I had not seen this posted so it was news to me. For this summer, through August 6, 2013, WDW is apparently printing a coupon on your receipt when you eat at counter service restaurants in the parks. It's good for 20% off purchases made before 1 pm at many of the main shops in the parks. Naturally, there are restrictions, so check the fine print. Still, it's good to know.

MK Bakery (aka Starbucks) is noticeably absent from the list of participating QS counters. But I believe there are breakfast spots included in each park - useful, due to the 1 pm cutoff in the shops. The main QS lunch spots are included, as are the main souvenir stores.

So you have to eat breakfast (or at least eat before noon-ish) at one of the QS places and then you have until 1 pm to use the coupon? I couldn't tell from the article if it's a same-day thing.

I think it is for the next (the following) morning until 1 pm...not the same day. They did this last year when we were there, I just never did it because I had the PAP and at that time I already got the 20% off...but now that I only get 10% even with the PAP, this would be much better. LOL

This is awesome. I will definitely be taking advantage of this in the next few days. The way I read it: If you eat at one of those restaurants your reciept will have a coupon on it. I don't think you have to eat at the restaurant before 1 to get a coupon, but the coupon is only good until 1. So if you get a coupon at dinner you can't use it until the next day.

I bought a soda at Sinshine Seasone one morning and my coupon was on my receipt and good for 10 days. You could only use it in the larger stores, like World of Disney at Epcot, the big store at DtD, OutPost at AK.

I used mine to get a new Crystal Mickey Mouse watch. Mickey is Chrome, which I like.

I'm not there and will not be for awhile but last time I got coupons I had about 20 by end of trip. I just collected them and used if I felt like it, like a pp I had PAP at time so it was nothing to me. I believe I got at just about every counter service I went to even if I just got ice water.

I hope they are still doing this when I go in December. I was there 2 years ago and they were giving these coupons at the bottom of the receipt and I was able to buy one of the Dooney and Bourke handbags and got 20% off!

They have done this every trip in the last year or two. We've been in Feb, April, August, and December. The coupon doesn't have to be used the same or even the next day. You can use it until the expiration date. There are tons of them around.
