is this worth the cost and also the cost of ap pass.
Don't want to get the ddp. like us all need to save somewhere.

You'll have to do the math regarding the cost-benefit of AP.

Also, remember that only one person in your party needs to have the AP for your entire group to get the discount.

For US, the AP + DDE saved a good deal of money. A couple trips ago we bought one AP, 3 10-day no expiration tickets and the DDE, and between the 3 trips those were used for, we probably saved $1000+.

You need to figure out how much it would cost to just get park hoppers, and how much it would cost to get the AP plus park hoppers for the rest of your group, plus the $60 DDE card. Then figure out how much it costs you all to eat per day, and compare total costs.

If you planning on going to the parks at least 10-15 days within a year then the AP is definately worth it. I wounldn't buy the AP for dining discounts. The dining discounts have been 10% off select restuarants during lunch only. You also save 10% off select vendors and activities, like mini-golf, and can get AP rates at the resorts but the AP discounts on resorts just aren't what they have been in the past.

Agree with the other posters. First, decide if it's worth it for the AP: will you use resort discounts? how many days will you go? Hotel savings + cost per day on AP can add up, depending on the time of year and where you stay.

Then, decide about the DDE: how many table service meals will you do during your trip? Party size? Dine at resorts (free parking)? Do you order wine/drinks with the meals (also discounted)? If you will easily spend more than $300 in dining on your trip, then yes the DDE card might be worth the investment.

Im going to move this question about the Disney Dining Experience over to the Dining Board.. The experts there can provide great answers.
