From looking at the Disney website, it appears that if my child is less than 36-months at the start of the cruise, she cruises for $99. Do you think this is valid if she turns 3 the day after we embark?

If potty trained, would she still be able to use the kids clubs?

I'm asking because I assume the over 3's are charged more to pay for the kids clubs so if we only pay $99 because she hasn't quite turned 3, we wouldn't be able to use the clubs.

What do you think?

I think you might be very lucky! I don't think they will turn her away from the club because she will be 3 and potty trained. I don't know for sure but that would be my guess. Our 2 year old was 5 weeks away from being 3 and they said no but if she was only 1 month away they would let her.

This actually happened to me! We took our twins on DCL for their 3rd birthday's. The cruise set sail March 3 and my kids turned 3 on March 4. Our TA confirmed with a supervisor at DCL that you pay according to how old the person is the day the cruise sets sail. I also confirmed that my kids would be able to participate in the kids programs despite paying the infant rate. I just made sure that I had the name of every supervisor I or the TA spoke with at DCL, but we didn't have any problems. You may want to call DCL vs. booking online so they are aware of your situation. We saved $400 by going the week of our kids 3rd birthday and we went during a promotion where our kids flew free with a paid adult. That combination was once in a lifetime so we took advantage!!:)

Wow. This is good news. Thank you.
