I was playing around trying to get quotes so I can talk DH into booking :earboy2: and it wouldn't give me a quote. It said,

Let's try that again ...
The resort you selected has rooms that can only hold a maximum of 4 Adult and/or Child Guests (plus 1 Infant). Perhaps you'd like to try:
• A different resort
• A suite at this resort (if available)
• Booking more than one room at this resort.
HUH? It's myself, DH and our three kids, ages 11, 6 and 2. I thought that under 3 years was ok???? This will put a huge damper on things :(

AFAIK a 2 year old in not counted and you could book a value resort with your 3 kids if you really want to. If you just want prices, why don't you leave your 2 year old out of the calculations?

I thought the third child had to under 1 years old and fit in a pack and play. I know that buffets and park admission is free but I don't think the 3 y/o goes for the room too.

I made a reservation for my family of 5 on the phone last week. We're staying at the All Star Movies in August. My kids will be 5, 5 and 2 1/2. There was no problem. They asked if I wanted a pack and play for the baby and i said sure. He'll probably get a better nights sleep in that than in the bed with his brothers. Call and talk to a CM on the phone, I'm sure it won't be a problem.

I've never booked online, so I don't know, but could it be that you put the children's birthdates in and the youngest will be three before you go? Just a thought...

The 'under 3' rule applies to rooms too, not just food and admission. Not sure what happened on the website, but I would just leave the 2yo off if you just want to get a price. Oh, and just an FYI, they don't ask for birthdates on the website, just ages.

Online it just won't let you put in three children (no matter what the ages) when you are booking a value - or rather it won't allow 5 people (no matter what the ages) so just put in the two oldest children's ages and you are good.

Thanks everyone!!! I called the ressie line and he said that you just leave the 2 yo off when booking online. I've got courtesy ressies saved for me til tonight - just ahve to talk hubby into booking tonight!!! Wish me luck! Oh, and I mentioned that I got a postcard a few weeks ago but lost it - he gave me the postcard rate!! Which was cheaper than value rates during peak season - in all resorts!!! :cool1: :Pinkbounc

Don't worry if you can't book tonight, the reservation will be held without a deposit for you for 2 weeks.

Great and good luck.

My DD loved sleeping in a pack in play, even when she was 3 years old and older. This next year I think she plans on fighting the baby for it! ;)

Yes under 3 doesn't count, you did the right thing just leaving the 2 year old off.

Do you think that it will be crowded with three kids in the room?

I have three kids also. They will be 8,6,and almost 3 when we go.

When we went in 2001 we stayed at ASMo and it was great. My boys loved the big Woody and Buzz. I would love to stay there again so my DD could have the same experience, but I don't know if she will sleep in a pack and play or if it will crowd the room.

Has anyone stayed in an AS with a pack and play?
Was there enough room?

I stayed at ASMo before (but only with my oldest dd). The room seemed comparable to your typical hotel room. You can close up the pack n play during the day, when people will be wandering around the room. We are staying at ASMu March 30-april 2. My youngest dd is 2 1/2. We are bringing her crib mattress with us, for a low bed for her, instead of using a p-n-p. She sleeps in a bed (with in-set mattress, so small rails go all the way around) now, I doubt she would want to sleep in a p-n-p. So depending on your transportation to WDW, that is an option too.

I couldn't imagine cramming 5 people in the values. I had a hard enough time dealing with 2 adults and a child in the WL room. The value rooms are super tiny. I would go with two rooms or stay in the mods before doing that.

I felt the same way about the WL rooms. We were very cramped with 2 adults and a child. In fact, it seemed like we were more cramped there than we were in AS-Mo with 2 adults and a child. Could have been the size of the furniture and the dark interior of the rooms.

When pricing online, if you put the 2YO in as an infant, you can price out the resorts that sleep 4 people.

I think it'll be crowded, but it's "legal". I was in an All Stars with a pack n play and a king sized bed. I think we put the crib under the window and left it up.

We stayed at ASMo last year with 3 kids - 5, 2, and 10mo. It worked out just fine for us. There was a little spot for the pack and play to fit where it didn't interfere with walking. Besides we weren't in the room all that often, and when we were they kids were exhausted and ready to go to sleep.
If we'd been somewhere where we needed to be in the room several hours a day, the room size would have been an issue, but if you're using it for naps and sleeping at night it will be just fine. :D
I have 3 boys, and they just loved the courtyard there. If you have ToyStory fans, ask for the ToyStory building - they'll really enjoy it.

Where in the room did the pack and play fit?

I was thinking between the beds.

Red23, I put the pack and play near the window.

This is great - I was trying to look up prices for the very same thing for a friend of mine yesterday. They have 3 kids with 1 of them being under 3 and I kept getting the same message. I just took a quick look at the boards now and here's the answer - simple. I was a little worried telling her the price when I wasn't sure and didn't get around to calling Disney yet - now I know. thanks!
