2 year olds and what you pay for

It appears to me that when they list ticket prices they only show 3-9 year olds, so I assume that 2 year olds have free admission to parks. Correct? Any proof required? We have hotel reservations where I have listed the ages, and will be buying the MYW Park Hoppers.
Next question: Food - Any experience with dining out either counter or sit down with 2 year olds and acquiring their food? What about the buffets and sit downs? Do they just give you a plate? Or do you need to purchase a whole meal? Because it seems to me that I saw somewhere the prices for buffets also as listed as 3-something. I understand many times you need to purchase a kids meal for them, but how is that handled at buffets if they do not have a meal price for them.
Any info on pricing and 2 year olds is appreciated.

Two is a great age is they are almost entirely free. You are right, no admission or buffet charges. (no proof of age required).

For table or counter service, just ask for an extra plate unless you want to buy a kids meal. You can also request PB&J just about anywhere even if it isn't on the menu,

Enjoy

We were just there with our 20 month old. Admission to the parks was free. Buffets didn't charge for him. We almost always bought him a kids meal at sit down restaurants. At counter service places we had him share with us and DD. We have been before with DD a few times before age 3 and this is how it was then too. Financially it is a great time to bring them. Chasing after an active almost 2yo was a whole other story!! :earseek:

Good age. It hurts when they turn three and you're now having to pay those hefty prices for those buffets. Nothing like paying $20 something for a half eaten banana. :flower1:

We went when my daughter wa about 1 month shy of her 3rd birthday. It was wonderful, she enjoyed everything just as much as she wouldhave if she were 3. All buffets, she was free. At CRT they brought her a plate of pancakes & bacon, but they did not charge us.

That was my justification for going again in 2005. I told DH our second DD will be 2 1/2, so we might as well go, she's free.

We are taking DS one more time before he turns three! The only thing we will pay for there is snacks, quick and casual food if his growth spurt eating DSis does not want to share!

Hey! At least they ate HALF the banana. LOL! I am pretty sure we paid for DS a few times when he ate nothing at all! Once was a character meal where he was so freaked out by the characters that he and I had to leave. Oh for the days when both of my boys were under three. They are now 3 and 4 will be 4 and 5 next trip and oh, does that hurt!!

We're hitting the other end of the age range. DD will be 10 for our next trip. In Disney's warped vision, that makes her an adult. Disney used to have child - junior - and adult pricing, but they got rid of that, probably when they realized they could make more this way.

Thanks to all for the info., I am looking forward to this then, haven't been since pre-kids. Will definetly try the brunches, then. :flower1:

This is the main reason we're trying to plan this trip for April of next year. It's the last chance before child #3 turns 3 and then we'll have to pay for all 3 of them...ugh!! I can't imagine how bummed I'll be when they start turning 10!!

Zippehsmom,
Did anyone question or ask for proof of age with your almost 3 yr old? Mine is going to be only 3 weeks shy of her 3rd b-day when we go. Especially with regards to park passes.

No one ever asked her aged or questioned us anywhere. If they had she might have said 3, since we were working on saying 3 (We went first 2 weeks in August, and her birthday is 9/9). I can just imagine us trying to explain to a CM that she really isn't 3 yet :earseek:
