We're booked up for 2 weeks in Oct, have a DS who will be 27 months when we go.

We want to do all 4 disney parks, the 1 waterpark (the other ones closed) the 2 universals, Busch Gardens, seaworld and aquatica. We also want to spend a day at Daytona Beach.

I want to spend a day in each park at least....which makes 11 days of 'doing stuff all day' and leaves 1 'day off'. Been discussing this with the family and they have said its going to be very hard going, esp as we want to enjoy the nightime shows as well!!!!!! It will be hard on my DS but we'll be knackered too!! So I called virgin and for an extra week its £240 for the 3 of us!!! (just flights and car hire) so do you think I should do the 3rd week??

Im not sure, as 3 weeks is a long time, and im worried my DS will get homesick?! Or do you think im being silly!!! Would be nice to have a couple of days themeparking then a day off to chill by our pool or go shopping!!! lol

What would you do? Any advice!!! Thanks again, Janine xx

We start getting homesick toward the end when we go two weeks. We miss our pets worry about our house and are just ready for home. I think I would limit it to just disney and the water parks. Or just add one of the other parks and a beach day.

Honestly, for us, one day at each Disney park would not be enough. We like 2 or 3 days for Magic Kingdom and we would do more. I would either go for 3 weeks if you think you'll last that long or I would do 2 weeks and skip Busch Gardens and the Universal parks. They just don't compare to Disney. SeaWorld is nice for a day, especially if you feed the dolphins. Never been to Aquatica.

I think two weeks would be perfect for us, but I would skip the other parks and spend more time at Disney World. I may go to the beach for a day, but that would be it.

I would vote for 3 weeks if you can do it. We did a 3 week trip this summer which included 16 nights at FW, and it was nice to have downtime during the trip. We have two sons who were 5 and 7 at the time and we wanted to see all of the nighttime shows, so we did 2 days in the parks and 1 day out. We spent a total of 10 days in the parks and spread that time out over 14 days. On our days out of the main parks, we went to the waterparks, Downtown Disney, shopping at the outlets and just chilled at the campground.

I would vote for three weeks. If your son is with you, he should be fine regarding home sickness. I just went on a three week trip with my 17 month old daughter and it was great. I would say if you can afford to go longer go that route versus pushing yourself daily to get to parks and cover everything. It will be much more enjoyable if you can have some rest days and take it easier.

If this will be the only trip you make to WDW then I guess you would have to do everything. But I think you will find most of the veteran DISers would tell you NOT to do everything in one trip. That is called "commando" vacationing. The stress of trying to do everything will ruin some of the magic. If you can afford the three week trip, I would do it that way and take more breaks (days off) to just stay and enjoy your resort, unwind and swim in the resort pool.

Wow that's some trip. Congrats on having the stamina to do it. I know there's no way I could be on the go so much. Honestly, if you can swing it do 3 weeks so that you can have some more down days. We're going for 8 days/7 nights in December and will have several hours every afternoon where we'll be just staying at the resort in the pool or relaxing. Granted we go every 12-18 months so there's no need to be constantly on the go.

I vote for the 3 weeks.

With a little one you will need some down days, hanging around the resort, swimming.

I did 13 days in Septemeber with my niece (4.5yrs) and we had 10 park passes and went to TL for part of 2 days and did DTD and DQ (a few hrs each) and also managed to go to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. It was too much. I should have skipped the WPAM option and just hung out at the resort and made a trip to DTD one day.

I think you have too many things on the list. I would go for 2 weeks and trim down the must see things or you may burn out.

We did two weeks and did Universal, Islands of Adventure, Busch Gardens, Sea World, Wet n' Wild, Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum, Kennedy Space Center, and one night at WDW for Pirates & Princesses. We also did a day at Daytona Beach and a day a Clearwater beach. I can't imagine adding in all the WDW parks in that two weeks as we were really busy. We ended up with one "down" day. If you're trying to get all those parks in I would go for 3 weeks.
