2 weeks of yummy food, deluxe dining for 3 days- Updated 3.20.14- Le Cellier & Tusker

We have been back for 5 days now in lovely NH. I miss FL and I think I need therapy for my post trip sadness Hopefully, going through the photos and this trip report will help!

Cast members:
Me (Tara) - adore Disney
Jon -Husband--he likes Disney and deals with my craziness. We have been married for 7 years.
Jack- my wild little red head. He is 5 and loves Disney. Just not all the princesses

We were in Florida from 2/2 to 2/16! We stayed at Grand Floridian Villas and Animal Kindgom Lodge Kidani. Both were AMAZING.

Here we are!


Our first day--Monday was an Epcot day. I didn't get any food pics the first day I promise the rest of the report will be better!



Jack loved Test Track, Mission Space, the Seas, well pretty much everything! We ate at Akerhaus for breakfast...YUM! I didn't get any pics of the food. We had eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrown casserole and more bacon! The potato casserole was so good! The cold buffet is great. Except they ran out of the Lingonberry muffins that I really wanted to try



The princess interaction was OK. Ariel and Sleeping Beauty were kinda boring and felt rushed. Snow White and Cinderella were great though!



Garden Grill was for dinner! YUM YUM! The service, character interaction, and food are some of my favorites of the trip. The salad was delish. The rolls with the maple butter.. The turkey, fish, and steak were all good. The steak was my favorite. It was so tender with an amazing flavor. We ate the platter up. Our server kept asking us about seconds but we couldn't do it. Too much food.

So stinkin cute!

I love the rolls at Garden Grill too, I think they were my favourite part. Although the mash potato is almost the best I've ever tasted (WPE holds that crown) and the steak is incredible.

We checked into the Grand Floridian villas in a standard view studio. We received a corner room at the end of the hall. I wanted a higher floor but that didn't happen. Oh well. The room was gorgeous. The bathroom was beautiful and I loved the two showers and the TV in the mirror.

Our view was of the monorail. My son loved it.

For our stay at the GF, we were on the deluxe dining plan. I will let you know my thoughts after our stay:

We ate lunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe. It was so good. We each received appetizers, entree, and dessert.

Jon and I both had the Panko-crusted Lump Crab Cake with Fennel Slaw and a Roasted Corn Rémoulade. This was YUM! The remoulade was perfect and the crab cake was so so good.



My son, Jack had chicken soup. He ate A LOT of it. The soup was really good.


I had the burger with the lobster! YUM! This was cooked perfectly. The lobster was wonderful. The chips were good as well. The only thing I didn't love was the sauce on the side.



The bun was really soft and good:


My husband had the Grand Sandwich:
Open-faced hot Ham, Fresh-roasted Turkey, Bacon, and Tomato with a rich Boursin Cheese Sauce and Fried Onion Straws
This was really delicious and obviously a fork and knife sandwich. It was really rich so it would be great to split this entree and get the crabcake to split.



Dessert!!

I had the Chocolate fondue! Really good but I was getting full so I could only eat about half of it!



Jon had the Boston Cream Pie. He said it was pretty standard.


Jack had the worms in dirt. He liked this but was getting full as well so only ate a bit.


After that we played! The day was BEAUTIFUL. It was around 80 and just perfect. We went to the Beach Pool after and then hit the splash zone.

We left the Grand Floridian around 4pm and went to the Magic Kingdom! We had dinner at Be Our Guest at 6pm but first we went to Enchanted Tales with Belle. This was so cute. I loved it. My son was chosen at Philippe.

Here is he is holding up Philippe! He took his job very seriously!




Then we were off to Be Our Guest! This was the first time we have been there. It was so amazing. The castle on the hill is beautiful.


The room is gorgeous. We were sat in the ballroom in the back right by the windows. It was a great spot.


We each chose an appetizer. I had the French onion soup. It was delish. It was cheesy.


My husband had the mussels. I don't like mussels but he said they were really good. There were A LOT of them. He couldn't even finish them all.


We decided to split our entrees with each other. I ordered the strip steak and he ordered the sauteed shrimp and scallops. Both were really good. My steak was cooked perfectly. The shrimp and scallops were really good. I liked splitting our meals since it was like a surf and turf.
The fries were good as well with the yummy sauce. We were hungry so I forgot pics

I ordered the grey stuff brownie. It was good. I LOVE the grey stuff. YUM.

My husband and Jack both ordered the strawberry cupcake. They liked it.

We met the Beast and then we headed out for a few more rides before the fireworks:
