Hi All - will be travelling from UK in November and we are booked in villa for 2 weeks then last 3 nights in Disney hotel. We figured this way would be better as a surprise for daughters first trip. Thought if she stayed in disney hotel first she wouldn't want to move to villa.princess:

Anyway the question I have is that with a disney hotel reservation you can book fast pass 60 days from arrival date, and I thought then book the other villa days at the 30 day mark. I checked this with a cast member on phone when I booked hotel (direct with disney)

Just called to book the 14 day ultimate tickets and the cast member told me that wouldnt be possible as the tickets would only be active to use from the date we check in to disney hotel. So she said we would only be able to book 30 day fast passes for our entire stay.

Can anyone confirm this for me or has anyone does this where they have had split accommodation with disney resort second?

Many thanks in advance pixiedust:

1. Yes.
2. Agreed.
3. If you buy the tickets SEPARATELY from the resort stay (not a "package") they
will, of course, be good from the date for which you purchase them.
Then, the Disney resort stay dates are not a factor in the ability to use the tickets.
And, points number 1 and 2 above are valid.

I thought you had to link the tickets to your disney room reservation to be able to use 60 days fast pass option?

Having valid WDW tickets and a resort stay booked allows 60-day advance FP+ booking for
the dates of the resort stay.

The OP only wants to make the WDW Resort portion of the trip 60 days in advance.
And, the NON-WDW Resort portion of the trip 30 days in advance.

I think im getting confused with the linking the tickets to your booking when you purchase them and then the linking the tickets using Eticket number in my experience. From what you say these are two different things and as long as I only link using disney experience app after purchase all will be ok and I can use ticket before the the disney hotel days?

Thanks for your help

If you have bought your park tickets separately, as a stand-alone purchase, and not as part of a WDW resort package...

You can link those tickets to your MDE account and choose to use the tickets at any time.
That means that you can make FP+ reservations up to 30 days before you choose to first use the tickets.

The fact that you have a WDW resort reservation, also linked to your MDE account, will allow you to book FP+ up to 60 days before you check in to that WDW resort.

Since you are choosing to use part of the ticket days BEFORE checking into a WDW resort, you must wait until at least 30 days before to book the FP+ reservations for those non-WDW resort days.

But, you can book the latter days of your trip (the ones while staying at a WDW resort) up to 60 days before the check-in date at the WDW resort.
