How come I can't see a price for 14 day tickets +park hopper on the Disney site? Trying to price a two week trip and it only allows me to see 10 day tickets + park hopper. What am I missing?

They don't sell 14 day tickets.

Depending on your needs, an AP is probably your best option.

Or a 10-day park hopper with the Water Parks and More option can be used during your 14 day stay.

A 10 day park hopper would cost us $1300 for 3 of us, but an annual pass would cost us $2000. That's a crazy difference. I guess that shortens our trip.

I wish we could take a 14 day trip!

10 days would be enough for park tickets. There is PLENTY else to do - water parks, Disney Quest (which is really fun actually!), Downtown Disney (with bowling and/or movies), resort hopping, boardwalk area.

That's what we would do with 14 days. It would be great to alternate park days with more relaxed, low key days.

I agree with the other PP's. 10 days is plenty in the parks, but if you want more, you can either buy an AP or a 10-day park hopper + a 4-day park hopper. The most economical thing to do is add the Water Park option and get 10 visits to the water parks, mini-golf, Disneyquest, etc. for a nominal amount. Or take 4 days off from the parks or go to Sea World, Universal, etc.

We enjoy our park days much more if we alternate days, park visit one day, off park the next day. Particularly when the children were smaller, day after day in the parks was exhausting, especially in the summer when it was hot. On the other hand, we very much enjoyed the times we had annual passes because we could go to the parks for a couple of hours and then leave if we wanted without feeling like we were wasting expensive "day" tickets. If you can schedule it so you come back again within a year, the annual passes would be a good deal. Depending on your cost to get there, two or three short trips might be more fun than one long one. If you have multiple weeks of vacation time, the 14 days could be divided between the parks and the beach, with another Disney trip or two another time within the year.

No need to shorten your trip. You will need a break day to two or three in a trip that long. I have yet to meet the person who could go 14 days non-stop. Plan a day at DTD to do a little shopping. Go mini golfing another day. Spend some time at your resort by the pool, or rent bikes and bike around. After a few days you will need some non park time, or you will be totally fried.

the U.K Disney site sells 14 day park ticket, are you able to purchase U.K tickets ?
cal :)

To answer your specific question...you are not missin anything. Disney has chosen to only offer a 10 day ticket to its US guests. guests coming from the UK have the option of purchasing a 14 day pass but not us.

That said, the strategies above are very good options.

Well, you're not comparing apples to apples when you compare a 10 day pass to an AP. If you want to compare, then you need to take a 10 day ph, and add a 4 day ph to it....then compare it to the AP. The 10 day ph is $1300 and the AP is $2000...that's a $700 difference. Take that, divide it by 3 (the number in your group)...that's $233 addtl pp. Take that and divide it by 4 (the addtl days you are getting)...and now you're paying $58 pp, per park day (for those addtl 4 days).....using the AP.

You can also get some pretty significant discounts with the AP.

We go for 16 nights. Spend 10 days in the Park, 2 at Universal/IoA, 3 at waterparks and the other two are downtown Disney/DisneyQuest Days. We still get lots of time in the parks but enjoy a lot of other activities too. Even if you didn't do Universals there lots to Do on Disney Property with the WPAM option. The mini golf is also lots of fun!

Other things to consider:

Parking is free with an AP (only matters if you are staying offsite, when it's $18 a day for parking, onsite get free parking).

OP....will this be your only trip to Disney in the next 12 months? If not, then consider that three 10days for a second trip would be another $1322....so then the AP would save you $600+ in tickets for both trips. A lot of people go "once a year" but plan their dates so that an AP will work...for instance you go this year from June 1 to June 14.....but in 2016 you go from May 15 to June 1. Your AP would cover both those trips (the AP is actually valid until the same date the following year).

A 10day hopper for 3 is $1322, a 4 day hopper for 3 is $710 additional, so you're at the AP rate as it is.

Also take into account that an AP will quite often get you a nice room discount....which might make up the difference. For April/May/June stays there is a 20% to 37% discount (depends on which resort, but basically values are 20-25% and deluxe are 30-37%)

Then throw in that AP gets discounts on merchandise and food (not everywhere, go read about the AP to be able to see if those discounts will work for your family). Those can add up quickly too.

OP will need to do some number crunching to decide if it will work for their family, but basically the "experts" agree that if your stay is over 10-12 days, then the chances are that the AP will be a better deal overall. Of course, the flip side of that is having an AP makes you more likely to decide to visit more often because "hey, we have APs!"....but of course that's a slippery slope.

What others have said is also very realistic.....14 days of nonstop park hopping is quite a bit and there is a lot to explore and enjoy without entering a park. And if you want to leave the site, Orlando has a great deal more than amusement parks too (and there is more amusement parks nearby even).

Whatever works for your family OP, I hope that you have a magical trip.
