2 waitlist questions

1st-Can you find out how far down the list you are?

2nd (long ?)-Started my day by day reservation last week. Currently have ressies @ SSR 11/29-12/6 want to switch to BCV. Got the night of the 29th ok. Called the next day to add a day to the BCV and subtract a day from SSR and no availability so I was put on the wait list to end 31 days out. Called the next day same thing except they asked me if I wanted to do 7 days or 31 days. I told them 7 days. Now I'm on the waitlist for 11/30-12/4 and I call today to take care of the 5 and there is availability on the 5th. So I have a room at the beginning and a room at the end of our stay. Here is where I'm confused. The CM @ MS today tells me she has a new reservation number for me. I'm like what? I'm adding on to what I have. She said she if he waitlist come thru during the middle of the week they can't just take the days away in the middle of the week @ SSR. I told her I don't want to move from room to room. Did I do something wrong. Do I need to call them? I don't want to miss out on 1 day of the waitlist if MS is looking for 5 days total and I miss out because it is looking for 5 days. I don't mind paying cash for a room, but there aren't any cash rooms either right now.

Can anyone shed any light on #2 for me.

You can not tell where you are on the waitlist.

I think what you should have done was book the whole week as a waitlist-not day by day....but I think you will be ok if you split the ressie and hope the WL comes through
If I understand your post right you have
BCV/SSR/SSR/SRR/SRR/BCV . The new ressie number is ok, you can get them linked together when your wl comes though. Did you ask if there was any cash rooms for your middle nights? You might want to have that as a back up incase there are problems.

I think the last lady did WL the middle days together. I don't want to miss out a day because the system (if that is the correct term) is looking for a block of 5 days together. I asked about cash rooms every day that I called and was told there weren't any. I was told call every 2 weeks to check on cash days. What is your feeling on checking on cash days?

Here is exactly what my ressies look like: arrive 11/29 depart 11/30 @ BCV; arrive 11/30 depart 12/5 SSR; arrive 12/5 depart 12/6 BCV.

How can I tell when a day has gone thru on the WL on the member site?

IF you are on a day by day waitlist, any day that shows up will be in the "view vacations" part of the member site. That's on the page where the vacation points are listed. You can call MS to find out if you are waiting for a block of 3 days or if you are set to take them one day at a time.

If you do get the whole reservation one day at a time, and there are 5 different confirmation numbers, MS will link the reservations and you won't have to move.
