Hi

We are off to dlp tomorrow and I am still stressing about meals....

Plan
Wednesday night - Rainforrest cafe
Thursday night - unsure
Friday - late lunch - Agrabah - mnsshp
Saturday night - blue lagoon
Sunday brunch - inventions

We had originally planned to do inventions, which we all really like, on the Thursday night but DH commented 2 trips to inventions was a bit excessive. He suggested annettes which I like but am worried if we leave the park with everyone else it will be a pain waiting for a table with an impatient 4 year old.

I like the thought of having somewhere booked after a full day in the parks, even though you may still have to wait, the only other place I thought of was cafe mickey but I do prefer inventions...

Anyone got any other ideas, we are staying in DLH?

For me, a trip to DLP isnt complete without a trip to Cafe Mickey...

I will second that the character reaction we have had at Cafe Mickey is priceless! We went to annettes two weeks ago and really didn't enjoy it the place was very dirty and there were birds inside

I'm no help but have the same dilema for our dec trip, am planning Inventions for the friday night as we're at dlh and want to stay to watch the parades etc really don't fancy waiting outside cafe mickey with the masses at 9pm! However was also planning sunday brunch, my main problem is we really didn't enjoy Inventions on our trip last June but want to give it another chance. How about another hotel like HNY for dinner? Whatever you decide have a great time and hope you won't mind me asking about Inventions after your trip

I love Inventions  but not sure I'd want to eat there twice in one trip.

How about the California Grill or have you considered eating at the Hotel New York?

I think if it was me I'd choose Cafe Mickey for the Thursday night. Although I prefer the food in Inventions, I've always enjoyed Cafe Mickey and that way DS (and you ;) ) will still get two character meals.

Cafe mickey most likely then. It is fun and gives me an excuse for another wonder round the shops,.

Thanks for all your replies. We ate at HNY on our first trip, the buffet, I thought it was ok but Joe was in the middle of a complete toddler meltdown so it doesn't hold pleasant memories....

Elaine, I think California grill a bit too posh.......

Tinkertaylor, we went to inventions in march and may and enjoyed it both times, I think it does make a difference where you are seated to your experience, first time we were in a wee side room and it wa a nice calm affair, second time we were in the big room through the back and it was a bit more lively but the service wasn't as good. We are a big fish eating family so it suits us to a tee. Will let you know what the brunch is like, looking forward to Lilo and stitch....

Thanks again, away to finish my packing:banana:

I'll be looking forward to hearing about this too - I'm hoping they'll still be doing it with Lilo and Stitch next summer.

Have a great trip! :wizard:
