So my inlaws purchased a trailer this weekend (my MIL enjoyed her camping trip to the Fort with us A LOT!).

It's really small, an R pod, the length is 18ft. We have a 29 ft long Class C, no slides.

Right now we have a premium site reserved 12/26-1/1. I will keep looking for another site for them, but worse case, can we both be on the huge premium site? The occupancy will be 7 (5 of us, 2 of them).

Will Disney allow 2 trailers on 1 site? Or only a trailer + tent? We could fit side by side and probably back to back.

I have lots of time to try to find them their on site, but it would be nice to have a backup.

The rules state only a trailer/RV and up to two tents per site I believe. Not sure on the limit of the tents, but I know its more than one. Now what they have allowed to happen....... Thats a whole 'nother ball of wax!

So here's where I wonder if I would get creative -- we can tow the Rpod with our Class C -- we won't of course -- but the Class C is really just a giant truck.... hahaha. Fingers crossed we can find them their own site :)

Actually this has come up. As one is a trailer and the other is a haul vehicle. Which technically they allow per site. Biggest problem is power and water as there would be no way to do both trailer and RV.

My inlaws agreed to "dry camp" if that is the only option... hoping it's not! I thought my search was over when I got my own site for Xmas week.... back to hunting for another one.

Wow. you better look for a nice long site. Are you towing a vehicle with the Class C? that's a lot of people and vehicles on one site.

As Scupper noted it is "technically" against the rules although recently during a trip report one of our posters noted an incident like this in one of the loops and it seemed to cause some problems but Disney apparently didn't do anything about it until the guests scheduled departure.

Recently, especially here in the last few months, Disney has seemed to be cracking down on the rules and enforcing them to a certain degree so I would not be willing to take a chance on this and would bank on trying to score another site and see if they can get you guys close together as possible.

Thanks for the input! I wish it were as easy as "get them their own site" -- I'm trying several times a day, believe me!

I'm really hopeful the 2100 loop will open for Xmas week reservations and we can ditch the premium site thar we don't really need and get 2 full hookups in that loop.

There is of course, always the option to use a Tent on the same site. I realize that it doesn't allow them to use their new R-Pod but it would allow you to stay together, plus there is always the "Facilities" inside your Class C (Shower, kitchen, etc...)

As others have pointed out, it is against the rules. I think it's less about trying to cheat by trying to fit 2 units on the site as you are still within the limits of the 10 people per site (which I also feel is VERY generous) and more that you are unable to get another reservation for the same time frame for your in-laws.

Either way, I hope you are able to work out your reservations and accommodations whichever way you end up going. Have an awesome trip. :)

Trying to get another site is well like that snowballs chance in h.... and premium means a better slab with less sand and an easier back in, which is debatable. Length varies from site to site regardless of loop. See if a room is available at a value resort or any resort for that matter.
We did a similar trip some years back and it was CROWDED. Did the split reservations and all was good.

We were there this past Jan. There was more stuff at the sites that I can ever remember and sometimes hard to drive around the loop.
My family will be back Dec 10-18th. I booked two sites long ago and linked the reservations for the 100/200 loop.

Even a different loop for the trailer at this point would work.
Christmas at Disney is a true experience.

One idea, ask the throwaway site people if they have anything for that weekend. Maybe you can pay them a little and use the site they wont use...

There will be people cancelling, I think there is still a chance. pixiedust:

I feel like it IS as easy as "get them their own site"... FOLLOW THE POSTED RULES! Don't ask random people on an Internet forum if you can "bend" the rules.

It's pretty "easy" to me, get them their own site or they don't go...
