This may be a dumb question, but how do you use the KA to shred meat? I've only ever used mine for dough/batter. I did ask Santa for a pasta attachment this year, though.

Put the meat in there while still warm, use the paddle attachment and turn it on. It will break it up.
I have the meat grinder attachment and I like it. I rarely use it, though I got it cheap enough that it has paid for itself for the times I have used it. My dad has the same attachment and uses it all the time when he makes meatballs. I don't think most of the attachments are cost effective but they do take up less room than buying separate appliances at a cheaper cost.
On the electric control, press TEMP and then the down arrow. Once for RIC1. Use that for white rice. Press down arrow twice for RIC2. Use that one for brown rice!
For those of you who love your foodsavers, can you recommend the brand/model? I have a hand-me-down that's a pain, so I don't use it.
Love the same items others have mentioned (gotta try shredding meat with the KA - thanks!), but I have two relatively inexpensive kitchen items I adore:
1. Ary Hot Gloves - similar to the Ove'Glove.
2. Magnetic measuring spoons - they're double ended for dry/wet, lie flat on counter for liquids, NOT chained together, but nest magnetically so you're not hunting for the right one.
