2 stars of CSI fired!

Thats a shame. I like this CSI best. I remember Jorja on ER.

Wasnt there a subplot with BOTH those characters about one of them getting promoted to senior investigator or something like that?

I loved George, and I thought Jorga character was interesting, and a good play off of Marg.

Yep, Grissom recommended Nick, but there ended up not being enough money in the budget to promote someone, so neither of them got it

Bummer!!!!:( Having a hit show, it is amazing how they can so easily "dismiss" the stars that have made this show what it is.

I didn't care for Sara (and that whole Grissom/Sara thing, yuck). But Nick I will miss. :(

I hope this isn't the end for Las Vegas. I have to say that I don't enjoy Miami nearly as much, mostly because I think "H" is creepy! I despise him.

(And I thought the Grissom/Sara thing was pretty interesting.)

Though I will miss Nick, I never really did care for Sara that much. Some weeks I loved her, and other weeks I hated her.

As for the stars making the show what it is. I don't believe that's true for this series. I always thought it was a lot like Law & Order where the stories transcended the stars. The show will survive for as long as ppl love the stories.

Now that being said if either of them had asked for my advice regarding not showing up for work I would have advised them to watch the E! True Story of the Dukes of Hazzard. And they would have learned early that CBS mostly doesn't tolerate that stuff. And now for their next shows I highly reccommend that they don't let themselves get sucked into a 7 year contract:rolleyes:

I think "H" is creepy too. I liked Caruso on NYPD Blue, but he has been turning in the same performance in every role since.

DH likes to count how many times he removes and replaces his sunglasses, I like to watch how he never seems to know what to do with his hands. We both imitate his weird speech pattern and make fun of his overly dramatic scenery chewing show-ending moments.

Original CSI has the best characters and actors, and I like the fact that it is about the evidence, not about someone's gut feelings.

I imagine they'll be sorry since I don't really see them gettting another job that pays $100,000 an episode.

I've read many articles about this and it appears they were only fired for not responding to a letter asking if they intended to report to work. Both George and Jorja insist they did send in their letters. The days they were fired Jorja did show up for work and George was late but did show. William Peterson and Marg(Catherine) called out sick but were not fired.

William Peterson(Gil) responded saying "very saddened and deeply disappointed that this is the turn of events," and that he hopes "cooler heads will prevail and everything will be rectified and restored in due course."

As far as the entire cast asking(not demanded according to various sources) for raises, yeh sure they're not exactly poor but the CSI franchise is a multi million dollar one and the network big wigs & producers are raking it in. So I don't hold it against the stars of the show wanting a raise since they were a part of the reason the show is such a success in the first place.

Hopefully this will all be resolved really soon and the cast will remain intact because I really love the show the way it is right now. If not there's always The Apprentice on NBC atleast there it won't be a surprise when people are fired. ;)

I'll miss Nick but I thought Sarah was a bit creepy. She seemed to be constantly on the border of admission to a psychiatric lock-down. I don't want CSI:Miami because I can't stand that red-headed guy who plays the lead (everyone seems to call him "H"). He just irritates the heck out of me. I look forward to CSI:New York this fall.......................P
