2 rooms how to book FP's??? Help????

We are in the planning stages for my DGS, 2nd birthday and 1 trip to see Mickey and the gang.

We will be going the DDXDP route, and they will have Fl resident tickets and we have AP's,

I want to book our Fast passes together, also we will be doing rider swap for a few of the rides.
So how do I handle this? do I have to link to each room so 2FP and 2FP or can I just make them all under mine room, and it won't link their Magic Bands to our room.

So how is this handled... I called and the CM on the phone was no help, she said everything has link to each room. We have to separate everything. Please I need some help..

You link all of the GUESTS to your MDE account.
(You want to link them all to an account where the owner of that account is staying at a WDW Resort.)

Then, book the FP all at once, if that's what you want.

When we had multiple rooms, as long as everone was linked as Family and Friends with permission to share plans, we could make everyone's FPs based off the 60 day mark of the earliest arriver (our dates werent identical) as long as the owner of that room did the booking through their MDE.

I.e. grandpa checked in first and also had grandma in his room. Next day checkin was Mikie, hubby and 2 kids in one room (with our own MDE acct) , Aunt Jenny and one kid in room 3 (with own MDE). 60 days out from Grandpa's arrival, he could make FPs for all 8 of us, but Mikie and Jenny couldn't book without grandpa's help til the next day.

We live here in Florida, and are driving.. So how is that handled.

You are connecting things in your head that do not have to be connected. Here's what I think you are saying:

1. ROOMS: You have 1 room reserved for the grandparents, and another for your child and spouse and granddaughter. The only affect room reservations have on FP is the booking window. Each person on the reservation (even the 2 year old) will receive a MagicBand, and it will be linked to his or her MDE profile, which will include which room they are staying in. So no worries about the system mixing up the bands.

2. TICKETS: You have APs, they have resident tickets. As long as some sort of admission media is linked to each guest's profile in MDE, he or she can book fastpasses.

3. FASTPASSES: At 60 days before checkin, you can book fastpasses for the entire group, as long as everyone is linked in MDE. As of this Sunday, the system is changing, so I hate to give precise directions. The changes should be for the better, allowing more flexibility and (hopefully) less confusion. When is your trip?
