2 rooms for Ap holder

Can you book two rooms under the same AP but in DIFFERENT Hotels?

i have read that you cant, they have to be at the same hotel.

No, you cannot. This is one reason why Disney went with the Best Rate Program (speculation). Too many AP holders were double booking 2 resorts and then cancelling one when they decided where to stay. However, it's kind of silly because who is willing to loose a deposit? If you cancel, you lose your deposit so it would be crazy to book 2 resorts and then cancel one. You wouldn't be saving any money.
